Its not Indian visa, its visa for Indians, educate yourself

They don't intermarry, most are racist and only marry among themselves and begin to speedily multiply in your nation. they look down on blacks/Africans in our own nation, they are rude and beat their wives, they are mean selling dangerous counterfeit products, some are involved in illegal businesses like fake money printing, when you supply them they don't want to pay back on time you may have to demand them for 6-12 months if you are to get your payment \n\nThese are some of the few issues I see about indians. Even I would refuse them a visa if it was upto me

I completely agree with this report. It needs to be fair. India has provided lots of Tallent. Lower the visa requirements. From Canada.

Look the answer is simple, someone from Burkina Faso will not compete with an average European for his/her job. Indians will for sure. Instead of lobbying for better Visa equity, why not strive to make India more livable? We need to address that issue, that is the elephant in the room.

We don’t need these ‘privileged’ countries to survive. They need us more than we need them. Let’s degrade their visas and reciprocate their rejection rate. We can survive better in a friendly world with mutual respect than in a world of racist colonialists or wannabe racists. Europe is paying a price for their stupidity. American is next.

VISA fee is open mafia. India should say if visa is rejected, 50% or more refund should come because rejections are becoming really arbitrary.

Simplify cross-border travel and Visas but introduce stricter penalties for default - like immediate blacklisting of passports. That will deter the people who want to unlawfully migrate and let others like us enjoy travel and moving around the globe freely

all this harangues.....is tedious. why are you rooting for visas? since the 80s, i have seen any and every indian that was barely intelligent enough to be productive in the rest of the world leave the country....except one or two, whole batches of classes from our graduation, masters classes have left....and these were ppl who benefitted from the almost free higher education given the indian state...so, stop rooting for visas, s if it is a good thing for out country..unless ppl are travelling to conduct some business activities abroad, every visa obtained means one loss for india....

Indians need to drop certain behaviors when they leave India and learn how to behave in the west. Maybe then, some countries may reconsider their visa formalities. I’m predicting that SE Asian countries are going to soon remove visa on arrival status for Indians because of their tactless behavior exhibited for all to see.

Improve trade and cut H4 visas for US as i have no idea on other countries. H4 visa housewives will really depressed in a country like US. because of depression crime rate will be more.? sometimes you wont have any indian friends near by even it has more indian immigrants. Give jobs to indians who are living there for generations. They must have contributed tons of inputs larger foreign trade income etc... Ask their inputs and India should make policies supportive or non supportive to indians. Dont send indians. They will suffer. As a indian we are nice people. help if you see any indians suffering in foreign countries. Please give help line to come back home . lot of movies you see in india shows immigrant suffering. those are all true. dont go unless you are rich and have billions of dollars. Increase jobs/ Salary/ skill training here. also improve immigration policies on other countries where indian immigrants is less. lot of foreign countries have worst weather. In those areas indians can Work from home. india should support WFH.?

At the same time getting Indian visa is also not so easy. Ranking may also depend on number of tourists who want to visit. Indians these days in far reaching in numbers due to the middle class economic upliftment. It is not that India is equated with tiny unknown countries.\nNext as far as the visa rejections are concerned very few student visas and work visas are rejected. So educated lot are not rejected. Most of the rejected visas could be tourist visas, who want to go there in disguise of tourists who actually propose to go as domestic or business helpers. Of course the visa fee is high. That could be discouraging point for many who want to go for just earning and also a source of income for those governments to compensate wages to be paid to their white workers to handle umteen number of applications.

It's clearly differentiation west do with Indian passport. I faced many issues with EU visas processing, specially for FR and they never provide clear answer but just sound like reason for eating visa fees.

May be the reason is Indians are leading in over stay, illegal immigrations and visa scams ?

Visa processing is a money making program for USA. They need not collect so much for rejected visas .

I've been to several embassies Western and other European Non Western embassies in India over the past 25 years and most of them don't allow Indian visa applicants inside the Embassy/Consulate. Some allow Indian visa applicants only at the entrance or only inside the gate not beyond. Others allow Indian visa applicants only at the gate and you hand your application and passport to the security. It depends on what kind of visa of course. If it's for tourism or a short term visa then you're not allowed inside. If it's long term then some embassies interview you so those embassies allow. But the embassies of those very countries in countries other than India are much more open and you can actually go inside the embassy and speak to consular officers etc. In India in most Western embassies and even some Non Western embassies you cannot do that unless you're applying for long term visa or immigration etc.

Stop bragging and being too ignorant, just because you got a visa to travel to a western country where poverty and homeslessness have increased 15 to 20% this year. No use travelling to any country that has poverty and homelessness in rise.

And total number of ranks are around 100, because there are 2-3 countries on single spot..slipping 5 rank mean slipping below 10-15 countries.. \nVisa on Arrival does not only depend on passport ranking, it depends on the host countries as well, e.g Kenya has made visa-free(Visa on Arrival) free for everyone accross the world. Most of of the touris friendly countries are issuing free Visa-on-Arrival just to boom their tourism sector...On the contrary, now we don't get any Visa-on-Arrival for any European country, earlier we had access of Visa-on-Arrival for Serbia. \nSituation is getting worse day-by-day, many countries are not accepting INR at the Airport(though you can exchange at their local market, but conversion rate is very poor)

I think the rabid immigration should stop as it will damage Indias reputation even more especially with the quality of people who are going abroad. The countries who give them visas are fully aware that there are universities that earn them forex but this could be really damaging to their countries. What happened in Canada is of course an extreme case and other countries can probably learn from it \n\nAlso India should restrict exit and not give out loans to people who do not intend to return. That will also help curb some of the illegal exits.

Consider Russia too for our travels. Extremely beautiful country with minimal headache on visa approval.

As an Indian and knowing one and being one, I agree with the other countries decision, please reject all our visa applications..

Stop acting like you don’t know Ms Sharma, visas for Indians are rejected mainly because when you apply for a tourist visa, most of the time you are not really visiting that country. You have plans to settle there. Many people do go to these countries as tourists but they know very well who seems like a tourist and who doesn’t.

The real reasons for the high visa rejections are illegal immigrants,boorish behavior and lack of respect for the local culture.

Countries should be made to pay back visa fees. No visa no fees. Simple

In India visa fees are a scam and getting a visa is a gamble. I believe gambling is illegal in most parts of India.

Since they don't intend to give visas one small office will suffice .No need of multiple huge embassies and consulates of a single country in India . Diplomatic relations can be downgraded. But stop this scamming and gambling with people's money.

Let’s look at it under microscope - how many Ms Visas are there in the rejection bucket.

Indians cause restricted time drinking in Singapore. Visa restriction to Indian is a must thing.

The Central Govt should tell foreign embassies especially Western ones with steep visa fees that they can only charge the fee after the person receives the visa. If his application is rejected he pays zero. Charging steep visa fees and rejecting is equivalent to scamming people. Either you tell the person beforehand he won't receive visa. Also visa fees must be reduced as they are much higher in India than most countries.

The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

What about India? You request a million documents and that too multiple copies for a visa for a former Indian. Stop showing this as news...look at the mirror

The government must do something about the movements of its people. I guess it's time for reciprocal visa arrangement with every country. India must leverage itseconomic status as the fifth in the world. It's time to stand up against those countries belittling other nations.

Why do indians crazy for American visa ? ask your Modi to give you good jobs

Thousands of Indians are in Canada with expired visas, they work for less than minimum wage with out paying taxes, which is causing the local employment opportunities

Of course thats standard requirements. No country would want illegal immigrants. Dont be bias, look at those who got the visas. They have proof of financial capabilities as well as accomodation and return tickets

It's because the passports does not have modi ji's face on the cover. Kindly add his face, am sure the embassy will give bj along with visa. Akhir biswaguru hai wo. FYI our passport ranks now 85th, Pakistan and bangladesh can never match our power. They ranks 103 and 100.

Yes it’s time for equal request as you can see this ranking is nothing but strong arming us to keep us down. Indian news, and particularly your commentaries, are just nationalistic rants. You need to speak the truth and explain the real reasons why Indians have a hard time getting visas for Western and developed countries. The largest number of illegal immigrants in the US, Canada and Western Europe are Indians. Many Indians have no intention of returning to India. You should at least mention this, but not even mention this factor shows you are just tightening nationalistic sentiments,

Be careful with Canada and New Zealand, especially with student visas, they only want your visa fees, the rejection rate is higher than 60%. As these countries are 'no man's land, because it is invaded and colonized by Europeans, at least they must refund the visa fees, once rejected...

Other than behavioural attitude it depends upon the how the country projects the image to the outside world. \n\nSecond reason, more the people settling abroad more the rejection. Less the people settling down in abroad more the visa. \n\nI lived in GCC for many years they give visa easily to Europe and the US because these people go for pleasure trip and come back not to settle down
