Look at india right after meeting trump last week it has signed several deals with the EU, and even finalizing FTA with it by the end of this year. As an American and a Trump supporter, I agree with these tariffs, but only equal to the tariffs other countries charge the United States on our imports. I do not agree with imposing this on our brothers and sisters to the north. I’m speaking of the good people of Canada. I have traveled to Canada and crossing the border was just like crossing into another state. Yes, there was a border gate which there should be, but I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I hope our government can work this out very quickly and stop this foolishness. But to countries like China and Europe the United States should charge a reciprocal tariff as to what you charge us on our import. It’s only fair. Why are we paying an exuberant tariff for our goods entering your country and you expect to pay nothing with your goods entering ours. Most Americans, love Canada and love our Canadian brothers and sisters, we’ve always supported each other in world, wars, and other attacks against our respective countries. I pray this is resolved quickly, and then we can once again live United and in harmony.

Agree with Trudeau here, and as a Canadian conservative, that’s not something I say easily. But let’s get real here. Trump is NOT a smart guy. As a Canadian who lives in (largely French-speaking) Quebec, I don't know if our gov't even NEEDS to tariff American consumer goods, the people here are already boycotting US goods and companies en masse. EVERYBODY is doing it - and the pace isn't going to recede anytime soon. Even after the Orange Turd is long gone, trust me, Canadians will remember this! The American state has proven it cannot be trusted. They have unilaterally broken the trade agreement (negotiated by the previous Donald J Chump administration) on the flimsiest of reasons, the 00.2 % of fentanyl that flows over the border into the US from Canada. That deal now obviously not worth the paper it was signed on.

I'm Danish - we have a big movement in Denmark to boycot American goods. The US has failed in so many ways. They will learn - perhaps to late - what the price is. In the mean time I urge people around the world who supports Ukraine, Mexico, Canada and Europe - who supports the right to freedom - to buy goods from each other. Lets join together with Japan, Australia, South Korea etc - let's show the US that YES, they were important - yes they WERE the leaders of the free world - but they lost the right to that title the moment they selected Trump for president again. I’m in Seattle and have a vacation home in British Columbia so go there often while renting out other days to other people. Wonder how the tariffs gonna affect this. For example if certain things need to be remodeled in my pad over in BC I usually order from suppliers in USA near the border since I use them for my home in Seattle too. I’m guessing it might get taxed now. Not sure how it will play out. I do know that initially tariffs gonna effect lot of people but do believe in general it will get economy better. I recently saw that Mexico been adding tariffs for years for certain USA goods (for example appliances purchased in usa from Mexico will cost another 27% etc) and it’s time for USA do similar things. Just hoping my burrito cost doesn’t keep going up. Was around 8$ several years back and now it’s 14$ in Seattle ?

Trudeau has not been a good Prime Minister. He took the Liberal Party (historically a centrist party) further left, wasted billions of dollars during Covid and put punishing carbon taxes on Canadian citizens.
