Only qualified people get employment in Canada. Young Canadians do not like to do low-paying jobs, so immigrants do more of those jobs and young Canadians do not have as much skills as immigrants have for high-paying jobs. Immigrants have no option to get success without hard work and skills. Therefore, immigrants work harder to get skills and success than the privileged native Canadian youth. So it would not be right to say that immigrants are taking away their jobs.

You do know, that while Canada already been giving the Skilled Workers the preferential treatment fir decades, many of the Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, etc are unable to get a job of their training, bc they must write expensive, long exams! \n\nIf they had been out of the University for years, this is not easy to do! They need to support their families, study again and save Thousands of $$$ to pay for and write these exams! Canada makes it difficult for them to work in their field! \n\nThey receive many promises from the Canadian Immigration Department, which often does not deliver! A valid example, those with the Master’s Degrees, too often, receive only the Bachelor Degree equivalency in Canada, despite the promise of their degrees and experience in the field to be honoured! It’s an unjust and an unfair system! An Engineer driving a Taxi! Many, many such examples! \n\nThat’s why many highly-educated immigrants are working as taxi drivers, delivering food, or in under -educated jobs, etc! I met a hospital Medical Lab Tech, who was a Doctor in his birth country!! Another immigrant was a Lab Tech working as a Lab Assistant! Still, another immigrant with a Master’s Degree and experience in the Medical Cancer Research working as a Lab Assistant! \n\nThe bills don’t wait until they write the new exams, save the required money and qualify, etc!!

Immigration is ongoing Colonization. And Canadians are MAD, because you have allowed for people from countries with HIGH RATES of pro-sexually violent cultural views, and low standards of hygiene and politeness into our country. And you let them come here as students and take up first world spots for first world Canadians. And FYI, there is tons of sexual violence on university campuses…so that tracks.
\nYou let these people who are anti-dark skin into the country, and then you say because they are “racialized” they can’t be racist. That’s not how racism works, and I want my racists to be domestic, because then at least we share a cultural thread of unity: Canadian born and raised. Why are we being subjected to this B.S??
\nGOC has not created a way for us to report immigrants who are rude or abusive to Canadians, and who have over-stayed their visas. DEPORT THEM. When they commit crimes, instead of deporting them, you let them stay. They’re old women are also crooks and in on it. Imagine bringing the people who call and scam from Indian and Nigeria to Canada so they can just do it from here. Wild. And the Chinese (not Asians, I mean the Chinese)…are the colonizers of their part of the world, AND they cheat in schools. So you’re giving graduates spots to cheaters, liars, anti-Canadian, and racists. Canada never had a diversity problem, we had a supremacy problem, and we still do. And Canadian DOES NOT MEAN WHITE. So stop making this a race thing.
\nYou let them snap up our houses and our land and jack up the prices, and force us into homelessness and prostitution to pay rent, and into drug addictions because of a lack of purpose. So the GOC literally just implemented the same strategy they used to place indigenous people onto reserves, but now it’s for all Canadians. And make no mistake: high rents for bento-box “luxury”/rat infested housing are min-reserves that are not built for Canadian bodies or our aging/disabled population.
\nDEPORT THEM AND REFRAIN FROM GIVING THESE ANCHOR BABIES CITIZENSHIP. If they come here to have their babies, instead of giving them a Canadian birth certificate, you should be getting that certificate from their consulate. Cause at this point that’s just trafficking and financial fraud/abuse. We all know they come here to get the benefits and the domestic tuition, and a lot go right back to China. And it does seem to be the Chinese, Indians, and Nigerians (a lovely EDI mix) of thieves.
\nCanada has spoken, we don’t want them, we don’t like them; and they do not like us, they want us out of our own country. This isn’t a racial issue; this is a cultural issue. You cannot have these anti-West people in our western nation. They gotta go. And who cares about the international students anymore or the money “they bring in”. Universities are registered not-for-profits in Canada, so the for-profit argument can’t track.
\nCanada needs a RICO law so we can more easily seize their assets and expel them, and hold universities to the fire for this crap, and the government officials getting kickbacks. The GOC is the largest human trafficking pimps, and the universities are bottom bi***es. And don’t think we don’t know that the 30% cap DOESN’T apply to companies like Navitas who recruit for the universities, are housed in the universities, but are separate, private companies.

What we need is better paying jobs with benefits. Corporations flow of money must be followed, how much is leaving the country. Stop giving welfare to corporations who are making record profits that leave the country . \nWith new comers coming in with government subsidies to pay for their housing and giving businesses part of the wages payed by our taxes while our people live in tents, results more native Canadians are unable to be employed, get houses etc.

Potentially mismanaged \nRelying on food bank\nRefugees that land in toronto are occupying pur shelter systems\nNo solutions \nCanadian living in tents encampment \nUnaffordable rent\nCountry is not dealing with problems \nRate cuts is not a solution when more n more are coming n the once here cant even afford a home\nAffordability is impacting everone already n no one is listening \nImmigration plans needs to be careful review because proposal still not working n it's now out of control. They should have keep on top on the provinces n follow up most didn't stay in school \nTemporary immigration not an pr?\nCorrect they need to pay taxpayers for their mistake \nIt impacted alright \nAmbitious goals have cost a division in cultures. U don't see a mix of immigrants u onlybsee one.\nLook at housing . Canadians are being kick out of their apartments because they want to rent high rent to knew immigrants how is this fair. It's sad that the city violence has gone up n the amount of residents that are being affected ????\nLots of issues that really need to get fix.\nYes focus stop the landlord from kicking people out of the apartments just cause they want to be greedy as from breaking the law rules???

Most immigrants who come to Canada work hard every day, contributing to the country's economy by paying taxes, which helps the Canadian government meet its financial obligations. Unlike many of Canada’s millionaires and billionaires, who often make their wealth here in Canada but spend it elsewhere—such as in the USA or the Caribbean—immigrants tend to invest directly into their local communities. They purchase homes, buy cars, shop for groceries, and use public transit—all of which directly support the local economy. Their spending power remains within Canada, helping to create jobs and maintain the vitality of our communities

Along with these measures make sure those who are here (some fraudulently) follow the Canadian rules. Make it official to hire Canadians born & raised. Other countries are doing it. There is a cost for everyone that is here. Are they paying enough taxes? Sweden is paying $45000 to every immigrant to leave. Canada needs to look at the cost-benefit ratio. Immigration is not a right, it is a permission given by host country.

My experience has been different. Came at age 48 with family mostly for children future. Initial struggle followed by more than 20 years full time work in a company owned by Canadian but most of us working immigrants from different countries. Had a wonderful experience working as a team. Company grew from 5 including owner to about 30 when I retired. Most of of my contribution was from skills I obtained on the job. The flexibility I got was help to spouse and children. The three of them achieved good outcomes. Taxes are high. I never worried about that as children had professional education with no financial help. Only my steady basic facilities provided as I had steady though lower income than what I had back home in relative terms. What we get back from taxes we pay in health civic facilities education for children is great return of taxes paid. What I got was quality living. No luxuries. My purpose of coming here more than fulfilled. Happy family. Grand children now enjoying higher quality of life than what I had or my own children had. I do notice recent trends of immigrants expectations not very encouraging. I have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere friendship and regard for each other. My colleagues and I have been of great asset to the company we worked in.

❌Trudeau blames Business/Corporations for taking advantage of immigrants by paying them low wages. SERIOUSLY, Canadians know better. First of all, it is because of Trudeau's open door policy that all workers are suffering from poor wages and benefits. Secondly, Trudeau has consistently undermined the COLLECTIVE BARGAINING of UNIONS‼ The middle class has been struggling for years. They are being stripped of benefits, fair wages and PENSIONS ! Pensions have become an unacceptable expectation in Canada! We as Canadians have been convinced by Government and Business that workers should take care of all that foolish Pension stuff themselves! I DON'T BUY IT ! Nobody seems to be pointing the finger at CEO's astronomical salaries, plus bonuses, fringe benefits. ie. Corporate Jets, Sunny Trips Down South. They aren't being stripped of benefits, earnings, bonuses or fringe benefits. Profits are for them, NOT to be shared with wokers. \n❌Liberal Trudeau is no different Conservative Harper, it is all about the top 10% ! It's not about you, the worker, the shrinking middle class, the poor.

Marc and Sean Fraser should be fired long long time ago. On July 12th 2023 Sean Fraser gave $879 million tax payers money to Toronto for illegal refugees and immigrant. Sean also told Toronto Mayor Chow Chow if she need millions of billions more she can call Sean any time he is only phone call away, while Canadians mother has to choose pay rent or buy grocery across the country.

Please vote to save our country! These people will pay the price at heaven gates for selling out their countrymen we don’t have to make there time until then more comfortable then it already is! Trudeau increased immigration from 1x to 4x in a very short span and the country has never been worse...he needs to visit Toronto and get out of his bubble. The church over at King and Church st.... The garden of edan they call it is filled with tents for the first time this summer. Never happened before. The quality of life for too many people is extremely difficult. The government programs within service ontario are also discriminating against Canadians. There for new comers for the most part despite our tax dollars paying for it and we cant get help. Need to pause immigration in its entirity intill a plan is in place that makes sense .

They are skilled migrants. Why do Canada take them in? Because they lack skilled white people to do their jobs. Also lack of population. Indians don’t do drugs and they work and earn money and contribute to the society. And for the matter of fact they don’t just come from India they are invited to Canada from India by Canadian government policies and by Canadian companies. Medical and IT professionals are given big offers to come and live in Canada. However that may not be the case for students. Students are in large numbers and they want to stay back. Too many students is a problem. Colleges just take in too many of them, because they pay the money. Bring some control over colleges and students intake. There are too many new colleges just for business and that’s not good.

There are majorly two types of ' outsiders ' that the government takes in : students and asylum seekers. Seen purely from financial viewpoint, homing and providing for the latter group makes no sense at all. They are a permanent leakage of funds without return..\nRegarding students, there are the undergrads who pay 5X times the Canadian students and they are the shock absorbers for fee burden on Canadian students. This category is precious, especially those studying in reputed colleges. Then there's the student who comes for post graduation studies, doesn't pay as much a undergrad but still a valuable resource. Then there's the diploma students who make studies as an excuse to get into the UberEATS, mcdo kind of Job market. Cap on them may be needed to protect Canadian interests. However the last category comes mainly from one province in India who has political clout in Canada, so it is the hardest to curb. Without making this distinction, if the government is going to lump all categories of students as one, then they are throwing the baby with the bathwater.\nIn any case, the person who gets the best of both worlds is the Chinese-Canadian

No! These are supposed to be intelligent people. You do your homework before considering going to another country, especially as a student. My parents couldn't raise that kind of money to pay for me to study in another country, or even in my own country. Life isn't fair, but Canadians need priority to be housed in Canada. India has very good schools at affordable prices for Indians, and also very high prices for international students. I looked into studying in India and I couldn't afford it as an International student. India should re evaluate its priorities, before spending billions on space programs. India should also decide who it wants to be friends with. I am sure there are lots of good schools in Russia, who right now it prefers over the West.

Anyways.... Madam Canada's ancestors were definitely NOT the natives of that land. At least until a couple of centuries ago it belonged to native Canadians whom the White ancestors of Madam Canada extremely brutally almost exterminated and grabbed that land, the means which are far different from the means how Indians are migrating and gaining citizenship.\n Indians are definitely generating wealth, paying taxes and help the society by indulging in wide range of jobs from medical, technical fields to low profile service sector jobs such as restaurant service, cab driving, Supermarket counter staff etc.. By sheer hardwork.

Well, Canadians and the West in general destroyed their own Country in the name of feminism and female empowerment... lack of childbirth, declining population... government is left with no choice but to human traffic immigrants.. at least they are smart enough to make these students pay money to get themselves exploited.

To be honest, we do pay for health-care. Through income tax. But income tax is proportionnal to the income of each individual. A Canadian who earns nothing or has a very low income pays no income tax at all and yet, they enjoy care absolutely free, as well as a high income Canadian. Do private insurance companies in the US charge less for poor people? A couple hundreds could be not big a deal for someone earning 100k a year, but at 30k, it’s a whole lot of money.

They practically stole entry level jobs from Canadians. It's almost a joke that they're convinced that Canadians don't want to work when in reality Canadians don't want to work for wages that are exploitive. All these international students are willing to work for lower pay and live in terrible conditions. They literally devalued our economy. Seriously, return back.

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

One can argue that mass immigration from Europe change aboriginal local culture in Canada and now it is changing again due to recent mass immigration so why is this a problem now? People complaining do not acknowledge that Canada created a corrupt system where educational institution made money from foreign students, foreign student in return were happy as long as they got to work (atleast they are willing to work) for money but the moment money is taken away, they feel cheated. These foreign student are not entitle to a PR card when they knowing came to Canada as a students. In fact, we should look at the root cause of these problems. It is the colleges making money off these immigrants, it is the corporate who do not want to pay decent living wages to Canadians so they are hiring these immigrants at a minimum wages jobs. This is called capitalism where the corporate has to save as much money as possible for their share holders. So yes immigration is a huge problems but immigrant alone are not at fault. Fault lies with the government (federal, provincial and municipal) and the corporate entities in Canada as well.

As an indian living in Dubai. If I feel a place was overcrowded- I would leave, but for some indians its not the same and its quite sad some politicians thinking a densely populated city full of jobless people is okay. Its kind of the opposite reason why indians move to canada(because most of us dont like overecrowded cities-which tends to happen in india). The amoumt of jobs need to increase. The infrastructure needs to increase. Colleges and schools where people actually pay for all of it is necessary. And homelessness needs to be replace by education and housing policies for older canadians especially. Preserving the respect for the elderly. The list goes on- and yes it will increase the amount of jobs, if they build and educate. Also increase the incentive to be educated.

Like I explained, to those who say this will sour the us and canada's relationship. Americans don't care because even though Canada is less than 50% white, in they minds its still a majority white nation. That's why you don't see the BUILD A WALL etc, like you see with mexico, because even though the majority of immigrants crossing into the us from Mexico, might have been Mexican in the early 2000's, now that's not the case, 300k Colombians in one years, 175k indians, 75k turks, 150k, from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, 500k from Russia and Ukraine since the war began, 200k from ecuador, 75k Chinese per year etc etc. And they scream, build a wall, and make mexico pay for it. Because mexico is less than 20% white. At this point with all the immigrants canada gives citizenship too, mexico is probably more white than canada at this point or will be in the near future. But y'all don't see as that, like i said y'all still think canada is a majority white nation when it's not, and mexico is a amarindiean majority nation when with all the immigrants canada has now, sorry, new Canadians mexico is probably just as white or even more so than canada. And for those that think I'm exaggerating, read the comments or the lack thereof, and the ones that do comments completely overlook the fact that they can use and are using canada to reach the us, and completely want to change the conversation to the ones crossing from Mexico, why? Are there or are there not using canada to cross into the us, and the thing is this people pick which country to use, as we choose which restaurant to eat at!!!!!!! Well, I like.... I would prefer..... today the majority choose mexico. Tomorrow as you just saw will be canada, will y'all also scream build a wall???

My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. It’s no life. She’s sad to see it - coming from a country of perpetual optimism and opportunity, to learn over time how such a (on many levels) similar country isn’t like that, that has somehow got it all so wrong. \n\nIf you are thinking of “australia” as your answer, it’d be a fair call\n\n- Avoid Sydney if you can (a less expensive Vancouver) but rest of the place is “workable”. \n\n- Average wage in Perth is $100k (C$90k) and average house (full size…not an apt or townhouse) price is about $700k (C$630k) …so do-able, if tight to start with, for youngsters (like you..!) \n\n- I’ve been to Vancouver’s East Hastings St, and so can confirm is nowhere close to that in Oz. Are sketchy parts of all cities, but it’s definitely not community wide\n\n- are small pockets of homelessness (esp but not only indigenous community) but the governments are mostly (sort of…) “on it” \n\n- sun, sea, sand… and the sharks rarely come close to shore!

What a bunch of bullshit clickbait garbage. And his Vancouver rent is grossly exaggerated. He's probably some right-wing whining newcomer who does not know this area well. I live on Vancouver Island across from Vancouver. I have a beautiful apartment, just under 1000 sq.ft. with a 450 sq.ft. deck across the street from the ocean. I pay $1475 per month all included and I have a large dog. My son lives in Victoria in the top floor of a house in the beautiful Gorge neighbourhood: 1400 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms all utilities included for $1800. My sister has a 3 bedroom townhouse in Victoria, she pays $1500 per month (no utilities included). I only wish nobody wanted to live in Canada. I have seen the population here explode in recent years to the point where many people are having trouble finding housing and our infrastructures are not keeping up to the numbers. And they KEEP COMNG. PLEASE EVERYONE STOP COMING TO CANADA!!! ESPECIALLY STOP COMING TO BC! AND THAT INCLUDES ALL THE OTHER CANADIANS WHO KEEP MOVING TO BC. STAY HOME!! And that includes wholeheartedly the creator of this video!!

Trying to repair what was wrong done takes time and money \nTo bad that money are from Canadians and those politicians who did it are not personal paying for.

The quality of medical care is comparable between the 2 countries, however Americans still have a shorter life expectancy (compared to all other developed nations, not just Canada) because co-pays, deductibles, and insurance premiums keep people from getting earlier diagnosis’ that would save their lives. \n\nI find that Americans see Canadian healthcare through an American lens, thinking that we can only go to certain doctors, cannot get second opinions, or that the medical industry isn’t competitive but none of that is true. Our healthcare allows us to go to go anywhere and to get second opinions if needed. We pay zero out of pocket and never see a bill.

A Canadian from Mississauga. I left in 2012, bought a home in the heart of Istanbul Turkey for just $35,000, and now I'm living rent free, with my total basic cost of living (food, metro, internet, gas, electricity) just $280 a month, and I'm not even compromising on anything. I work online and spend only %5 of what I make on living expenses, but in Canada, I would be in the minus on the same salary.\n\nThe amount of stress when you no longer ever have to pay a rent again was all worth moving out, not to mention the depressing Canadian weather.

Want to charge 5 times,6times more to foreign students and why these foreign students pay such huge money bcoz they want a better life than india if canadians expect that they should leave after studies then its hypocritical bcoz its always give and take they spend such huge sum for better life if canadians dont want that ,thats fine its their country, there rules but they should implement harsh rules and tell at first itself while visa is granted for studenr that he/she will have to leave canada after studies and lets see how many students will come here to pay such huge amounts for studies and that will be an eye opener for both indians and canadians

Important to know that when they claim asylum they no longer pay international student tuition, they pay Canadian tuition. It's all a scam.

Asylum seekers get 2-3 years of free housing generally in hotels with all food and clothing paid for until a decision has been made on their claim, which they can also appeal, and who’s paying for all that? Canadian taxpayers

Disappointed to see how the government has done nothing to prevent this or protect the tax payers. They are taking away all the local jobs from the Canadian born and those who pay taxes. His moral obligation is to help the Canadians first..

Canada is not a refugee hotel to rack up expenses on the back of Canadians

This isn't new. International students pay more to attend our universities, and always have. That's why universities prefer international students over Canadian citizens. As far as claiming asylum...big deal. That's been happening ever since Europeans came here, especially the white waves after WW's 1&2. Now, descendants of those people, are saying 'no more immigration'.
