I am born and rasied in Toronto and I would have to say what is happening now in this city is do to the covid fallout. Toronto has always had higher rent then most Canadian cities but I think with the loss of jobs and and the rise in cost of living all over Canada due to covid I would say that Toronto is going through some hard times like everywhere eles in Canda. Unfortunately because it is the bigest city alot of people have moved here in the hope of a better life. I have noticed a rise in drug use but have not noticed a rise in violent crime. They do say that the TTC is got worse...Hard to say as I take the TTC every day across the city and have not noticed any diferance other then more and more people are useing it again. During covid the subway was empty and now all these people that have never used it before are having to learn how it all works and subway edict. I think media is making the subway seem worse then it is. To me it has not changed. I do agree the real problem is dealing with homeless that was more hiden but now is out in the open. Funding from all levels of goverment needs to help all big canadain cites more. I think Toronto will come back again to what it was pre-covid. Hopfully soon!!

the average income for all canadians as a whole is alot less then $57,000.00 per yeear. its more like $35-45 thousand per person.

We have this in Europa too Germany, England, Italian, Greeks can't take no more. Germany is the only country that pay so much welfare and children money. I m an an Belgian and there it look the same too. We all can't find no place to stay. Migranten live in Hotels . We take alot of Ukraine people and all borders is open for years. Now the German government want now more money to give for the kids. We taxe payers have to pay alot. Even they go with ships to England. They not afraid for the water. I immigrated to canada 1999 and canada have changed alot . Work opportunity are no near as good. Health care is awful. If you are struggling with mental health or any other medical problem good luck waiting for a veryyyy long time. The housing prices and rentals are extremely expensive. Taxes are high and prices are high as well. Social life is dead. U are a slave to ur job and bills. I live in alberta finding a job is a little easier then Ontario. Winter is very harsh. Honestly if ur living comfortably outside canada? Avoid coming to canada by all means. Life is verry hard here ?.

Canada won't be my choice in leaving my country, the west even in consideration but leaving the country isn't mostly due to financial struggles, it has something to do with the future and avoidance of insecurities and restrains due to the government in Nigeria in particular. Nigeria looks like all hope is going to be lost and no one wants to get trapped when that time comes, when they see themselves with alot of potential ahead of them. The truth is that it is easier for younger folks to integrate than Older folks..reason I encourage younger people to immigrate, you have enough time and patience to understand the system and integrate properly and also at this age you have little or nothing to miss back home. I am forever grateful to Canada and God, I have achieved alot in just a short time. Also I believe the interviewer will have a different story as regards the financial aspect after he becomes qualified doctor in canada. I dont believe you are better off in Nigeria as a Doctor compare to Canada both financially, mentally and socially

Dude is talking alot of crap...he is not being truthful at all. If Canada isn't treating him so well he better of go back home to his Nigeria like yesterday. Nigeria has even worse discrimination with it's tribalism, pay is a joke, the system in Nigeria is endemically corrupt, power cuts are a challenge there and don't forget crime with kidnapping is also a serious problem there.

The man made a big mistake. It's bad to go to Canada when you have alot to lose at home. \n\nIt's better to be a king in your home than a servant in another man's country.

We have the same problem in Australia. International education is in need of major overhaul. These international students bring alot of money for our universities but lack valuable skills.

Canada have alot of halal restaurants and desi communities.

Am born and raised in toronto .trust me .Canada is not what people think I traveled alot of places with bigger populations and poorer than Canada. But people seem happier and healthier way to many rules and to much liberal views and lifestyle that's destructive and greedy for your tax dollars I have a couple years left of working and am gone.

I was born and raised here. I am one big bill away from being homeless.. This is not the Canada I know. We are punishing sick ppl for being sick. ...ppl on disability don't even get enough money to survive on let alone pay for all the extras and alot of ppl on disability didn't get the grocery rebate. So tell me how that is fair... families are homeless more and more added every month due to insane rent costs and shady landlord doing eviction to raise rents. The whole country is a hot mess.
