As a US citizen, who voted for Trump three times, i never thought id agree with Trudeau. \nThe US cannot win a trade war, the US versus the world. I have read many comments expressing support for Canada and assurances that the writers didn't vote for this administration. I am a U.S. citizen, almost 66 years old. For the second time in my life, I am **ashamed** of my President. Trump is causing damage that will take literally DECADES to repair. I’m sorry Canada that you’re having to deal with this…a lot of us Americans don’t deserve this either, but apparently this is what the majority of Americans want. I’ve never been so ashamed of my own country before. Today, this year, this era is a sad time for American’s history.

This is amazing. This prime minster talks as if Canada did nothing wrong and US decided to bully them for no reason. If everything's fine and dandy, we wouldn't have done this. Trump did what he did because of \n\n1. Drug trafficking from north + illegal emigrants\n2. Unfair trade deficit in times when our national debt is unsustainably high. \n\nWhy so high? Because we've been giving Canada SURPLUS for decades. Can't do that no more because we have to save our country now. Don't mischaracterize this move, fools.
