As someone who was born in the U.S. I can’t stand what this country has turned into. It’s despicable and disgusting. I will not stand for the national anthem and I encourage any other American to do so. I hope Canada takes trump down. Thank you Canada for being a great country and for standing up to bullies. It’s honestly such a disgusting feeling to be an American right now. I love my country and many of its people but the trump administration is tarnishing this country and making it an embarrassment across the globe. I feel powerless and angry. I do hope that Canada, EU and Britain will work together, there is no reason Britain and EU cannot replace America as the main trade partners and I have seen plenty of other videos about other asian countries indicating interest in Canada's trade.\n\nBut this is much more than just tariffs, Trump has really gone off the deepend siding with Russia and undermining Ukraine, even undermining the sanctions, I wouldn't be surprised if he is already trading with Russia, using whatever bizarre pretext he chooses.\n\nThese should already be red flags to Canada, there is a long standing relationship with the UK and Ukraine, but Canada is only reacting on the tariffs, which detracts from what other action they might have taken.\n\nThe imposition of these tariffs should be the straw that breaks the camels back, I hope that if America repeals these tariffs that Canada will still diversify so that they don't ever end up in this situation again.

It’s so funny the excuse that Trump uses to justify his actions against allies such as Canada when in reality there is far more drugs going from USA to Canada than there is the other way around. Why is it that everyone outside of America has an expectation on how we should be that benefits them. This can has been kicked down the road for multiple decades. The waste, fraud, and abuse we are uncovering in the government. The situation with NATO and Ukraine and no one can fix their problems or issues without the US. We have aggressive homelessness, poverty, poor education system, high taxes, and a government that in the past has done nothing but pimp our tax dollars out just for kickbacks. Canadian here- I hate Trudeau just as much as most Canadians, and as it seems most Republican Americans do as well. But I fully stand behind him at this hour. He might have shit the bed for most Canadians during his time as PM, but when it mattered he has stood up for Canada. Review the facts and educate yourself on the current situation between CAN and the US. I will be the first to admit, Canada has not done enough in terms of its own security and military, but these failures should not be the decay in our friendship as nations. The US DOES NOT subsidize Canada, it DOES NOT give money to Canada. In simple terms- the larger country, with the largest economy in the world (USA) buys more from its Northern brother, which produces vast amounts of natural resources which the larger southern country requires. As for the booing seen at most recent sports events in Canada, that is directed at the President, not the average American. I myself would never boo a national anthem, an anthem that millions have sacrificed to protect and defend. But I understand the pain and anger that is coming from my country. We have always been allies, friends, and to most even family. I do hope that in the future our relationship can heal and move forward but the current actions being taken by the American admistration are horrendus and upsetting to most of the world outside of the US. I wish us all the best in the future, be nice to one another, and always remember that the US and Canada have fought, spilled blood, and died alongside one another in the fight for democracy and freedom around the world.

They have started loosening zoning laws in many cities across Canada two years ago. I have noticed discounts to new homes in my area and some used homes started to go down in values. Even as a home owner, I still hope housing values go down. It will make it much easier to move into a nicer neighbourhood or into a larger home if life requires it.

Canada has many problems and disadvantages which will need to be determinedly addressed in the coming years. However, we have one key advantage over our friends to the south, and one I hope that over time this will increasingly bear fruit: we are not governed by a fascist-adjacent government. Our only political party with policies resembling the American Republicans is polling in the low single digits.\n\nSetting aside the question of whether American Republicans are 'fascist-adjacent', the truth is that much of the world perceives it as such. Our economy is so tied to the US that I would not wish them ill, or at least not very much. Dear Canada,\nI hope you fix the employment problems and stop employers from hiring non-resident under contract for below minimum wage rather than a resident or a local before you start implementing new streams for said non-residents and new immigrants. A lot of you locals are struggling to land employment because of the fact. Employers are taking advantage of this loophole for to lower cost of employments. And it's unfair for us locals and residents. \nIt's just unfair you see, it's not right that employers prioritize non-residents just because they can lowball them and this individuals won't have any issue with or say any word since they are given employment. Employments should be fair. \nThe labor law should have more stricter rules on such things because employers are taking advantage of this very lax rule. Why spend all that tax money on northern boarder enforcement - how about Canada - reform your immigration policy and stop em at the airport. I recently watched a You Tube video from a couple, who had never been in Canada, it was quite amazing, think it was called something Southern or so. one of the main things, the gentleman was looking for is they had travelled from the west trough Toronto to the East and threw their arms up, saying, where are all the police, they had only seen 1 cop car in the city on their visit. secondly, he was dissappointed he could see where the hoods were, he wanted to see the Crackheads. (we dont have hoods like they do in the US)., another thing was he was sad because he couldnt find any Moose while they were driving from Niagara Falls to Toronto. I am a person that loves nature. I am really hoping that the bear, wolf, and moose populations are healthy enough to help with this issue naturally. Make America AND Canada great again.
