Trump is completely unreasonable. There is no sense dealing with him, period. If it is going to be 25% or even 50% with reciprocal tariffs, we simply DO NOT import American goods into Canada (if our retailers don't order them, there is nothing they can do) and if we export, the consumer is paying those tariffs and we continue to manufacture. I honestly think that is the best, maybe the only, solution. If tariffed countries stop buying American goods, maybe Trumputin will reconsider. And if he doesn't, he doesn't. He isn't known for his brain power.

Trump succeeded in getting Canada and Mexico to protect the US border, something the US couldn't do for decades. I think Trump is trying to put all his eggs into Russia. And Russia’s probably going to try to completely take over Ukraine to get their minerals. The US is probably going to start sending their support to Russia. Russia will then give those minerals to the US.

Canada and America should work together. Trudeau is the only one talking about a trade war. Think about that... Trump imposed reciprocal tariffs on many countries who later came to the Whitehouse and invested billions to bring business here. Canada has enjoyed the American gravy train for long enough. Just look at the comparison between how much money goes into Canada and how much of that America actually sees a return on.

As an US resident, I am in no way in agreement with our government…..I hate the fact that our closest neighbors for centuries hate us. I am depressed every single day since Trump entered the White House the first time. Our former and greatest president allowed me a reprieve but now I am thinking about moving from this country due to my extreme depression. Our family helped build this country as we were here before the revolutionary war. What % of phentonol does the US say comes in from Canada? Canada say 1%. Tariffs are unjustified if it’s that low. I think it’s kick the small boy so bigger boys like the EU are more flexible. I believe that the ultimate wet dream of Trump is to have a bigger nation ie. performing hostile takeovers of neighboring countries and of strategic importance for him (Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal and others).
