Get'em Trudeau! As an American I am appalled and pissed at the sh*tshow that is the current administration. And the last few in the last few decades. My country has always been a bully and we have fought hard to try and evolve, but obviously the level of education our society has has gotten worse and worse because we allowed ourselves to be ruled by capitalism and the wealthy elite instead of democracy and unity and understanding.

Counter tariffs aren't enough. Total embargo on all resource exports. They only have enough reserves to last a few months without massive shortages and price hikes. Then, when they cabe, we charge them triple to recoup losses. Canadian companies need to do their part, even if it hurts the bottom line.

I’m am Ukrainian Canadian and over the last few days I see how the new US government’s policy ruining everything we all believe in so dearly: democracy, friendship, helping shoulder to those who needs support against the bloody dictators, and firing thousands of people without cause who provided cybersecurity, guarded fairness of your elections… all being flashed down the toilet. And I watch it being replaced with bulling those who is bleeding, stabbing the friends and neighbors, singing praise to the war criminals charged for crimes against humanity with unlawful deportation and transfer of 20,000 Ukrainian children into russia. Children?! And I want to ask you a question: will you be a silent bystander watching the world plummet into the hatred, redivisions of borders and the rule of heartless convicted “deal makers”? I think I know who he made the deal with... And to those who voted for him: do you still believe this will lead you and your country to greatness?? One single fact that both Moscow and Beijing celebrate watching what’s happening should raise your eyebrows and question your decision to bring this man into power. Instead of making America great again the fight for saving America just began. God help you and all of us!

Go back and listen to Trump on tariffs. If a country is fair with America, America will be fair with them. Americans do not realize how many tariffs we pay as a country. I am extremely saddened and embarrassed by our president's actions. Seeing what Donald Trump has done in the past and is doing now, I pray for him and other world leaders every day. Their political choices matter. I did not vote for Trump, his first nor second term. He did so much harm during his last presidency that fueled so much division. And yes, Vladimir Putin is absolutely playing him, and he can not see that. I'll keep on praying, and leave it in God's hands. I stand with Canada, Ukraine, and Mexico.

As an American, we don’t want this either. I don’t understand what and why to be honest. All I know was in November 2024 I woke up to the worst feeling I have ever had. The last scorching inflation we had in the 80s, CDs for 3 years and only 10,000 dollars drew 13.5%, there was also high, high, high unemployment, home loans were 18.5% interest with good credit. This set the farmers up or losing their farms and the Savings and Loan collapse and the subsequent 113 Billion Bail out. This was WITHOUT gutting our federal agencies, cutting back on SNAP and Medicaid and firing federal employees and gutting the agencies' ability to do oversight with the Offices of Inspector General. I can't even tell you why Dept. of Defenses is calling off our cyber defenses against Russia who hacks everything in America nuclear power plants, hydro, etc. Got my gas today - our refineries are fitted for Canadian oil though it's not a 25% tariff but Canada could slap an export tax on it to be paid by us.
