Why do you think Trump was going to screw the Canadian economy they haven’t been very good to us the last 4 years but they bent over for Trump asap that’s why they got spared

My wife and I took a bus trip to see the Rockies some years ago. We crossed the US/Canadian border several times. Each time, border security did a passport check on everyone (both sides of the border) and a random luggage search. My wife and I, in our 50s, were the youngest on the bus. Under Biden, tens of thousands of young, military age men waltzed across the border into the US and given all sorts of generous gifts.

Please stay away from Canada I moved here and I regret it every day. I'm a citizen through my parents and getting my certificate took YEARS which stopped me from being able to go to school or work which means years of my adult life wasted that could have been put to much better use for something that wasn't even my fault. I also lost good opportunities too because of it!!!! Not happy especially since I genuinely needed the money. I won't forgive Canada for that. Also everything here is really expensive and the selection is just not very good. Also work opportunities are not as good as in the US. Anyways I finally got my certificate and got my life started up again just over 2 years ago, but I still often think of returning to the US after just being here for 4.5 years. I now warn some of my US friends not to go to Canada just for the hype if they mention it. I also know of a friend who moved here and left after 1 year, they came to hate it here.

I lived in Montana for five years moving from Ontario Canada. I returned after five years because your legal system is a joke. Healthcare is so expensive living in Canada’s way. Better get free healthcare which to me is the number one top thing.Canada has free health care everyone in need can get welfare low income housing the disabled have disabled people a paycheque each month that covers their bills and food costs. The first priority for any country is to itself. Other countries have no reason to let millions of Indians through every year.\n\nOn the other hand, being prepared and having the correct documents help, because I've visited 16 countries and I currently have 10 year UK and US tourist visa as well as UAE and Japanese visa. One in-service transition surgery is 150k. The monthly wage of a fresh boot marine earns is just under 1.8k a month. A Navy commander ears 6.75k per month just to put that into prespective. Without taking the 36 months of follow up treatment into account in the cost you could have 2 Navy Commanders educated and put into service for the same money as just one transition surgery. Or have a squad of Marines paid for a whole year. I remember in Matamoros 4 or 5 years ago a group of migrants stormed the bridge. I was crossing to work on a daily basis at the time and had to cross the BM Bridge because Gateway Bridge was where these clowns staged their protest. Barriers were erected, guns were locked and loaded and these scumbags put the CHILDREN in their group at the front, as some kind of shield. I have no issue or problem with the roundup & deportation of illegals who are criminals but treating all illegals in this manner is inhumane & unconscionable. We just can't build a wall for the whole huge Canadian border. Also, they are still crossing over the Mexican border state of the art wall/fence with ladders. The ONLY solution is to have a huge border patrol force that will be guaranteed to catch and arrest all illegal aliens. Then, the illegal aliens will be either instantly deported after paying a significantly large fine to the US Treasury OR if they cannot or won't pay the fine, sentenced to a dentention camp for a set length of time as a punishment, maybe one year of hard labor and minimalistic amenities-that is, NO MORE EBT cards, no more lux hotels. Once their detention sentence is completed, they will be quickly and efficiently deported to either their own country of origin or Canada or Mexico. Well nothing like that, I live in Canada and can verify that. Problem is quality of immigrants, especially student is trash in Canada, Australia and Europe. They come to shady universities for studies, work full time both legally and illegally rather than studying and at end of their education, they have a fake degree with zero value. Just like most of the new graduates in India who have a degree with no practical value. \nIf you have a good degree, right skills in tech and some experience, there are tons of opportunities in Canada. I cuss Canada everyday but that's because I lived 10 years of life - studies and work in USA. So whether I move to Canada or any other country in the world, I would do the same as US has no equal in the world. I lived in US for 10 years, then India for 3 years and came to Canada 3 years back. I would still move to India after getting Canadian citizenship, but not because Canada has something bad or India has something exceptional to offer, but because I want to live with my parents in India. Thats the reason I left US but came to Canada to get a backup.

One point: you can survive with US healthcare *if* nothing major happens. I know of one case in the US a number of years ago where a young woman could not pee -- which is a major, major healthcare emergency -- and she had no health insurance. A friend of hers who did have healthcare insurance through her job let her (the woman with the major emergency) use her ID in order to get taken care of. That would probably not even be possible today, with computerized health insurance, but at the time it was a matter of paper ID.

Once deported you are not allowed to reapply for a green card . I fought this battle with my British husband and we moved to London to avoid deportation based on a grey area of our application for him . We then rendered the US .5 years later returned and applied because we had not lost the right by being deported

There's difference between US and India immigration laws. In India opposition party states provide them with legal documents and make them their vote bank. I think the problem with many US attitudes is they have been brainwashed that they are the BEST in the world. Many have not travelled outside their country and still think that….based on what? When we have travelled to many places, Americans are not looked on favourably as tourists. Sorry, truth. Healthcare and US justice systems are broken and racism is rampant.
