Yeah, I agree with you, I have friends that are Indians and never had a problem. If the liberal government had made sure that we had the number of houses to accept all these immigrants and they brought in the people we need and not trouble makers we wouldn't be seeing this problem. It's to bad the way Canada is going down hill because of this government. Hopefully everything will get back to normal after the next election but it's going to take time now to fix the mess.

I saw Indians pooping on beaches in PEI and NB this summer and throwing garbage everywhere. Now they are protesting to stay when their visa's have expired. They complain about school and housing, but at the same time, exploit food banks and take up entire neighbors up degrading land value with their crime and trash. Then whenever you interact with them, they are rude, speak quickly and do not learn to adapt to our way of life. Instead we get more protests and violence. Indians abroad are responsible for billions in fraud and mismanagement across many sectors, and Indian government openly hamulated Canada on several occasions. On the count of immigration to Canada, more then 2/3 are coming from India and many are unvetted. Indians are not global people, they are not friendly or adaptable. Taking advantage of our hospitality and complaining when they stop getting that treatment pretending it's not their fault. Indians should go back to India and fix whats going on there. Get better schools, and have better manners. You have generations of youth who are very rude and dirty. I wish everything I said wasn't true, but with many personal experiences and others sharing, we have found the same is true about all of this many times over, in a span of 10 to 15 years. Its shameful.

90% of the Indians are cool, just in the club scene almost every time we go out with female friends or girlfriends its always Indian guys acting like perverts touching or trying to molest our female friends. The bouncers know this, the cops know this. They have to stop doing this or things will negatively effect the stereo type. I've personally seen a huge change in mentality of people in general turning very negatively toward Indian guys.

Pay your taxes, and find some NON indian friends who can help you assimilate easier.\n\n\n\n\nCanadians are very kind caring people overall. I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. They also have a superiority attitude. \nThis is a plan honest list of observations. I hope they learn to integrate with Canadian culture, improve their language skills and learn proper hygiene. Unfortunately, what you are saying is true. My personal experience with Indians, that are my friends, are educated graduated students that came in years ago, and behaved with manners, now in last 8 yrs we have an INVASION of uneducated, nasty, gang mentality people, that we Canadians DO NOT appreciate at all‼️ If you cannot adapt to our culture, go back to India, and keep your mess there. It is not only Liberals who allowed this situation, it’s happening over 20 yrs ago. STOP the kindness with Indians, when they are not kind with us‼️

I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

Trudeau has taken the Multi out of “Multiculturalism” Canadians and Indians have different values and if we Canadians mention this we are shamed and labeled as racist. I have a few Indian friends and they even say that immigration to Canada from India has gone out of balance. Many Indian people don’t assimilate into western living and many try to find loopholes they can exploit. I don’t like that Sikh men can bring daggers to places like the gym, it makes me feel uncomfortable working out beside someone with a big knife. Indian people wearing a Turban don’t have to wear helmets when riding their motorcycles. If a white Canadian took a big hunting knife into a gym they would be escorted out by the RCMP, and would be ticketed and fined for not wearing a motorcycle helmet. While sitting with one of my Indian friends he mentioned how he would hate to be me, I asked him why, he said as an Indian he can do what he wants and if I say anything I’m shamed and considered a racist. ??

Indian origin people are about 4.75% of the Canadian population. In the video, the Indians were friendly and did not seem to cause any risk. They are either students or young professionals. In fact they were speaking English. Seems like ethnic populations (even among Europeans) tend to co-locate.

I'm 52 years old and a Canadian citizen my whole life. Canada has always been a welcoming country. I have friends from every part of the world here in Canada. But in the couple years there has been a brutal influx of Indians in Canada. My build alone had maybe 3 Indian households. Now more than 60% of the building is indians. And the problem is 6 to 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We use to have 1 garbage bin in the basement. Now we have 3 and they are over flowing and they leave garbage everywhere( I've watched them do it). Not everyone has house keys so they leave the security door open all hours of the day allowing criminals to get into the building. They have shit in the laundry room and the garage(I have seen this happen). They smoke in the building halls and lobby. They Dont use laundry detergent when washing their clothes so the laundry machines stink really bad. I have to was the laundry machine before even putting my clothes in.Also they have taken every job in the business in my neighborhood. They aren't very friendly. They come into my restaurant and act like entitled brats and hang out for 6 to 7 hours in groups of 20 and don't tip. They're loud and demanding. Now our regular client's have stopped coming. Since these new Indians have come here they have tainted everything. I have never been a racist individual in my whole life. My family is very diverse. We are white, black, packistan, and Asian. In the last 3 years I am so disgusted in the quality of people that have been coming to this country. The biggest group is Indians. I'm sorry but be don't need any more of these assholes. We have enough of our own assholes

I’m in Canada for past 2 years. Despite its negatives what I appreciate the most is work life balance and women’s safety. Life is difficult for international students but for those who come here with PR or jobs it’s a little better for them. Anti India sentiments are mostly among Khalistanis. There is absolute logic for non Khalistani Canadians to not like Indians- the quality of people who have been coming here are not exactly the ‘brains’ and crème de la crème of India. They lack basic etiquette and civic sense and have been caught shoplifting, evading fares on public transit. We have no one to blame other than ourselves for this. Otherwise Canadians are very polite and friendly to immigrants. I’ve never had strangers holding doors to public places open for me back in India which I have experienced here.

Most Indian students, speak English, are educated, work, pay taxes and are usually friendly. On the other hand our politicians have no problem importing people to put on welfare that hate us. All. Just for the Muslim votes

Sorry Indians are doing what they do in India! They bring their corruption and pollution mentality! They want to be rich overnight and live it up then show it off to each other, see how rich, successful & toxic I am so rest crowd follow the foot steps! Unfortunately Germany is not a very attractive place for immigrants for the reasons the guy mentioned. The bureaucracy is incredibly frustrating and it's not only for immigrants. I got offered a job by a very well known multi international company here and they expected me to do the visa application by myself, because they haven't dealt with it before and evidently not enough information was readily available for them to take on the process. Those who are planning to come to Germany I would say spend a lot of time familiarizing yourself with how taxes will impact your salary. Insist on getting a dummy payslip with estimates of what your take home will be (because in Germany there are variables that could make an accurate estimate hard), research the average median expenses in the city or town you are moving to and be preperared to be the person who initiate contact with others. Learn the language which will make it easier to make friends (this will not happen over night as Germans by nature are not the warmest people), but in time yes. Find out whether your qualifications are comparable to those in Germany. You will be so surprise how many people don't do this check and waste their time doing courses that will not benefit them. I know it's incredibly hard to find out about this, like with everything else in this country, finding information on things isn't easy. You will need to speak to 4/5 different people, but it's worth it in the long run and saves you a lot of time.

I've been living in Thailand for over two years, and I've noticed many people from Canada, the US, Germany, and France who have made this their permanent home. It seems like things aren't going so well in Western countries lately. I asked my German friend when he plans to return to Germany, and he said, 'never.' It's interesting because even I plan to return to Russia eventually, but someone from Germany doesn't.

I grew up in Canada and I'm white. When I went to high school everyone who I met grew up in the country so it was very easy to socialize and make friends. When I went to college it was a very big culture shock because everyone traveled to Canada from another country mostly India, Korea, China and the Philippines. Most indians/immigrants ive interacted with are insanely smart people. In high school all the native Canadians were a lot less intelligent vaping is a huge issue but everyone was highly social so I was able to fit in easily even though im a pretty unlikeable person. The problem is that in college I couldn't really make any friends because of the cultural differences and since native Canadians are very rare where I was studying the culture was also kinda different. So it kinda makes me feel like im an alien in my own country. But honestly everyone kept to them selves a lot more. There are a bunch of other factors like people hyper focusing on studying but I wish people would just socialize more instead of just doing their own thing.\n\nI still remember back in high school when people used to know about everything that happened if there was something that happened everyone would know about it because everyone would talk about it there were group chats with tons of people in it where people would organize things or share memes. I think people should take inspiration from this and probobly do this more often but now its honestly just very lonely.

I have met a lot of Indians both good and bad. When you go to a store or somewhere you have this race of people who won't speak Canadian language, unless it's absolutely necessary. God forbid if you say to them they should speak English ior French in Canada, you are always called racist. When you hear of a murder of drug raid, it's almost always an Indian name. Hell, when you are cut off in traffic, well as you said in ithe beginning they look like you, not me. As I said at the first I have met and made friends with Indians, but it begins to piss you off, when there are so many. Our government has to stop the import of one race and if need be choose a little of all races, and prepare.

People in the East are extremely friendly but Quebec and half of New-Brunswick is only accessible in French. The rest of the Atlantic is very friendly as well. Ontario is basically a different country.

you should investigates why there were no more canadians working in front line in many stores. take a good look if who were working now in all of the establishments you are visiting. You can see that most indians are now working there. heard from one indian friend that his indian friend’s father is working in visa processing dpt that’s why it is easy for them to get visa. people who were working hard and invest for their job for a period of time have vanished becuase iof indians. that’s why many other immigrants from other country lost their job because indian managers are only accepting indians workers and rplacing pioneer workers to indians only. I came from Ukraine to Germany two years ago, and two months ago, I got a job as a Junior Software Developer. I love this country: the people are friendly, and they all spoke English with me. I also spoke English with social workers, but now I speak German. I like the attitude towards children, the air, the transport system, and I'm definitely satisfied with the healthcare. I really want to stay here permanently.

In my last 6 months here, Me and my Family had a very positive experience meeting supportive and friendly people. Specially my daughter was really happy and quickly integrated with the support of very precise education system. However, language remains the main barrier to us on integrating fully. Yes ,as an immigrants, it's essential to learn the language to truly become part of the culture and community, but it's challenging to achieve this in a short period. even it says short of Skill employees , Professionals like me who had a successful career back home makes its really difficult to find a job due to language barrier. I wish there were a proper mechanism to help candidates like us find jobs while we learn the language, We are eager to work, earn, and contribute to the economy.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I like the indians that have been in canada for the last 15 to 20 years. \nI dont like the ones that have been here since covid. \nThey were supposed to be temporary. Now they want to stay and take our housing and pur jobs. \nMy friend posted a job for a secretary and 300 people showed up. 90% were international students.

I visited both few months ago and man i loved Canada so much i would move there if not for my family and friends, it was so nice even at night you can walk safely and have positive interactions with people, when i was in NY everything was so damn expensive i just wanted to go back to Montreal. Also Preach is 100% right about women they're tough as hell in NY ? They were much nicer in Canada for sure?

Many people now just wait until they get their passport or PR and then immediately leave the country. In my personal circle even I have so many friends from university and work who as soon as they got their citizenship or PR they used it as a way to move to a different country.

As a FRENCH individual, I would\nSay this!!! WHY would you or even plan to come to a country that rejects you??? Why waste your money to come here???? Why immigrate here??? Lately, I have my older brother move back to France and my 2 daughters NOT willing to stay in Canada (they hate the Canadian education system here)! My wife wants to fly back to France and so am I and we will as soon as we can!!!! As for me … I HATE the Canadian healthcare system (rigid and INEFFICIENT) with all its stupid waiting times and lack of humanity and transparency!!! In France NO ONE has to wait 6 years (I heard this many times from friends) for an operation or 15 weeks to see pediatrician!!! I do not like the taxes, nor the hidden racism that is WAY WORSE than AMERICA (I have a coloured friend who knows well and who snobbed racist Canadians by speaking French to them. This friend of mine is in fact… a French citizen himself). I hate the Canadian transportation system, the banking system which is designed to STEAL from people!!! In Europe, there is NI Credit score and NO easy loans and you do not get indebted as in this rubbish country of GREEDY THIEVES (the Canadian bid corps) called Canada!!! Education in Europe is FREE!!!! Why should I allow my kids to study here and pay for veut studies??? WHY???? Le Canada est un pays de profiteurs!!!

To all people here that object to Germany not making everything English-speaking.\n\nIn my experience working with a large German corporation, when in a remote meeting of 200+ people a handful of people say they prefer the meeting to be held in English, it’s going to be in English, even if it means that the speakers will automatically dumb down the content by 80%, have problems with vocabulary, and struggle to get across the finer details. The documentation for IT stuff will be written in approximate English to please the 3-5% readers who just wanted to earn a higher wage for a few years, but not commit to the culture of their host country.\n\nIf both sides speak only a second language and not their mother tongue, what are the chances of ever feeling like you really understand the other? It’s like shaking hands wearing gloves. If you come to Germany or any other non English speaking country, and feel at home there, commit. Learn the language. Embrace the cultural differences. Germans are reserved on the surface, it takes some effort for them to warm to strangers. But given time, most of them are happy to do so, and can be very loyal friends. \n\nIntegration into the society of a country you emigrate to is a two-sided story. Since you speak Russian, why not go to Russia? Affordable housing,.non existing unemployment, fair cost of living, no insecurity, no gender propaganda, just normal people with traditional values. It's all about genetics. If you are short, ugly and physically weak (vast majority of Indian men), racism will automatically follow you. Improve your genetics, Indian people. Arranged marriages have destroyed your genetics where a person that looks like a donkey and just as smart can find a partner via an arranged marriage and reproduce their bad genes. In my country, for a man to find a partner, we have to go to the gym, we have to physically look good, learn to defend ourselves, educate ourselves, get high paying jobs etc to find a partner. An Engineering degree won't automatically get us a partner here, we have to look good and fight for the women's love. Ugly, short, weak men who can't defend themselves, they don't get to find a partner and they die off and their weak genes die off with them. Sometimes if they are ugly and weak but super rich they will find a wife but that's a rare case. Indians haven't kept up with world standard genetics of strength, height, looks, physical ability. They have always relied on Maths and Science degrees and overseas high paying jobs to find a partner and be respected. Guess what, my neighbor is 6 foot 2 inches in height, he goes to the gym, works hardand when he walks down the street, everyone respects him and talks nicely to him and he doesn't need an Engineering degree to get that respect. He works in a factory but the world respects him because of good genetics and he can beat you up if you say anything to him. It's his good genetics that get's him respect. I have ugly, short and weak Indian friends and they get racial attacks all the time. I also have good looking, tall and strongly built Indian friends and they don't experience racism. It's all in your genetics. So stop reproducing weak genes and let them die off and in 50 - 70 years, Indian genetics will improve with tall, strong good looking men and women and your desirability overseas will improve meaning you could go anywhere in the world and be respected, you wouldn't have to do Engineering and Math based courses to balance off bad genetics or to get respect etc. You would be able to get service based jobs with little education with good genetics, like Realestate Agent, Management, Customer Service roles, Business roles etc. Not just stuck in a computer lab crunching numbers like most Indian men going overseas do now.

I’m an expat who came to Europe only 8 months ago. I had 2 job offers to choose from, one in Germany and the other in Belgium.\nIt didn’t take much thinking to reject the German offer although it included higher income. I don’t think a lot of people prefer living among German society because they are known for not being friendly.

I have friends from india they did there best to integrate and have similar values to other canadians. Indian food is my favorite but too many people come here and dont want to adapt or adopt canadian values they stay in the community they are most fammilar with and retain values that arent in line with canadian values if you plan on living here get to know the locals and we will treat you well canadas a melting pot come chill with us we got good cocaine and shit

Safe to skip to 16:05\nGermany either needs to change their terms on accepting new workforce by being actually English friendly on street level, or they need to enforce language skill level BEFORE people actually arriving here. It is either that or the other there is no middle ground here. Unless one or the other actually happens problem will just continue, my guess this is indefinite. Because government is not interested to solve problems for so long.\nGermany needs people like Ozan the most as he has the most similarity to Germans who emigrate Germany (talented, well educated, world citizen, knows the market around the region). People like them don't hold themselves down and just to accept the fact that Germany is at best being an average country. So they just move on. The other two examples have already too much to lose (wife and kids, and husband) and they are here just to survive.

My friends moved to Canada from South Africa. They couldn't take it. The one sister lasted 1 year and the other 2 years. They came back and said that giving up community and culture for money and safety was not worth it. And that the people in Canada seemed very sad and depressed.

I had been living in Germany for a very long time, before I moved to the Netherlands several years ago. If we compare DE to NL, than I would indicate the following main advantages of each country:\n\n?? 1) low prices for food and relatively low rental prices for apartments (the prices in NL are at least two times higher) 2) the enterprises are more willing to invest in their employees (in NL you must be already a very skilled/talented worker) 3) if we speak about the German health care system, then you can directly approach a specialist without visiting your GP, even though you must wait an eternity for your Termin (in NL is your huisarts always a key decision maker). 4) The Germans are more friendly towards foreigners (probably because they made a lot of experience with them, due to the mass immigration)\n\n??1) much lower taxes and premiums 3K net salary = 4,2K list salary = 5,2 K premiums (in DE the same 3K net=5K list=8K premiums, of course approximately). 2) much much less courts/lawsuits/warnings about every crumb (have you ever heard about the German Abmahnindustrie???) 3) the young people in NL are the priority (even if we compare the Corona pandemic time, the whole German society strongly prioritized the older ones) 4) much more order in the cities/villages and much less pre-conventional/spoiled immigrants/freeloaders (step out from the same train in Aachen and in Maastricht- you will instantly notice the difference!).\n\nHope to have informed you all sufficiently ??

As someone who has lived in Germany for almost 9 years and speaks C2 German, this is my take: \n- I understand the language requirements are necessary , but they are more often than not completely unrealistic unless you started with the language at a young age or you have lived in Germany for many years. \n- The bureaucracy and hurdles to obtain visas and permits are absurd. It is literally easier to throw away your passport and claim asylum than go the legal way to obtain permanent residence or citizenship. This is crazy, the government needs to reform this. \n- Cost of living is high and wages are ok, but the taxes are way too high. It is frustrating to give away so much for a government that malinvests much of that money.\n- Due to the high costs and relatively low real income, it is hard to build up wealth. \n- The culture is also not easy to adapt to. Even though I master the language and have many German friends, I still deeply have the feeling I don’t belong. I am ok with that, I still love the country and its people, but it’s not for everyone. \n\nIf you are a highly skilled worker with no previous connections to Germany, I don’t see many reasons anyone would pick it over other rich countries.

Germany is a mixed bag. Depends on who you meet and how emotionally resilient you are when you get here. Then you have the flat lottery, the moody Amt workers lottery, the friends lottery, etc. But statistics have shown, that the majority of skilled workers do not stay long-term in Germany. This place is one of the most modern slave states there is. Did you know you it is illegal to not have a health insurance and stay as a resident. The paperwork to get the Jobcenter to cover my health insurance is mind-boggling and lengthy. It takes a lot of years to get “integrated” and be at auf Augenhöhe and Lohnhöhe with the rest of the natives. If Germany really wants to let in 400.000 extra workers every year, it needs to do better with urgent more affordable housing, rent caps not just kindergeld. And with their oh so magnificent education, they could have more bilingual or trilingual workers at places like the Einwanderungsbehörde or the Bürgeramt to make it more welcoming. Legalese is even hard in my own mother tongue! But there are good things and people here too.

I came to Germany 7 years ago , speak German fluently and am on the verge of getting the citizenship but I will leave the country soon , why?\n1- extremely ineffective bureaucracy\n2-high taxes ( like you are being punished for not having a kid and earning more money, how dare you?)\n3- low acceptance for innovation and technology ( I swear I had to use and am still using a Fax Machine!! at work, I thought Fax was something that disappeared when I was a kid but it apparently just moved to Germany )\n4- bad weather\n5- even with a C2 Certificate, Germans are not the most friendliest people around ( like some other central and north european countries ) , you immediately feel the difference in attitude when you go to Spain, Italy or more friendly countries\n6- hypocrisy when it comes to immigration policies... like they want the most skilled workers but they dont want to pay them a good salary and even from that salary half is gone without you seeing it. and yet they still seem to wonder where the problem is.... my friend, Money, make them earn more at the end of the month(AFTER tax) and they will stay, yet they do every other measure apart from this :)))

I went to Germany for my Masters at one of their top universities, back then (10 years ago) taken in by their great public image and a personal interest in Germany history and culture. Looking back now having also experienced living in the UK, HK and Sweden thereafter, I can understand why Germany has trouble attracting the top talents, or any ambitious individuals seeking to develop their career overseas.\n\nIt doesn't provide the money.\nIt doesn't provide a dynamic enough market and opportunities.\nIt doesn't provide the same type of diversity and excitement in truly world-class cities like London, HK etc. Don't get me started on food.\nEverything is functional but that seems to be the sole standard to aspire to. \nGermans are not the people whom you can bond easily. Sincere and friendly many are, but the amount of effort needed to even crack beyond that shell is ridiculous. In this respect I think most north europeans are quite cold and distant. But working with Germans you need to also handle their 'honesty', intensity and directness on top of that. The lack of nuance rubs a lot of people in the wrong way. \n\nThe Germans whom I met and spent their formative years overseas are fantastic. Invariably none of them would have thought of moving back.

Why some skilled immigrants are leaving germany? I have many friends who did that- IT, finances, etc. 1. Very high taxes and thus net salaries comparable to Eastern Europe. A senior dev in Bulgaria gets 2000-3000 NET. After taxes in Germany, well, he will get a little less. 2. Cost of living in Germany is much higher- rents, energy(because of green policies and taxes), services(because of costly labor), etc. \nImagine a budget of 1000-1500 eur to give you a nice apartment(400-500), bills, food and bars/restaurants 1-2 times per week. With a net salary of 2500 eur(average for qualified jobs in the capital) you can save 1000 eur or more with ease. With almost no illegals security, standard of living, etc is close to german. That is why qualified bulgarians do not go to Germany anymore. Same comparison can be done with all other EU contries. \nBecause of socialist policies for equal payment, high taxes, etc even germans leave Germany. What was the number? I think I saw more than 100000 qualified germans leaving each year. But why stay? To be taxed so that an engineer gets 1.5-2 times the janitor? With german social security unemployed get more than many working people. Rent covered, money for food and more and social payments leave you with more than the one working for twice your income because he pays rent, bills, etc.\nThere was an article I think in DW years ago about unemployed young people working for 2 years paid by gov and leaving the job market forever. They admitted the 2 years were just to mark the requirement for unemployment payments but that a nurse net salary was close to social security so why go to work. The racism against Germans that is so openly expressed in the comments here is unbearable. Yes, there are some bad people in Germany (basically in any country on this planet, unfortunately) who are themselves racist or discriminatory. But that is by no means the majority of Germans. I have lived here for decades and have met the most warm-hearted people. From the comments I rather gather that many who come to Germany simply extremely overestimate the demands they can (and may) make of Germany (or pretty much any other immigration-friendly country). If you come to Germany it is obvious that you have to learn German (or the local language). That is the case everywhere, including France, Italy and Korea - you name it. And if you can't do that straight away that's okay too, most Germans speak English and are very forgiving when it comes to language learners. Nobody shouts at you for not knowing German. Furthermore, Germans are very direct and don't care much about artificial and feigned friendliness. What you see is what you get. And I think that's honest and quite refreshing. \n\nThe thing is, YOU have to approach Germans and can't just expect them to roll out the red carpet for you just because you think they are in need of your workforce. The simple truth is: the standard of living in Germany is very high. The culture is diverse, and anyone who doesn't recognize this should broaden their horizons. Cities like Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart and Hamburg are beautiful, extremely multicultural and anyone who describes them as 'dull' will probably not feel at home in any city on this planet. The people are also nicer than many non-germans claim - that's obvious, because if that weren't the case, Germany wouldn't be the most popular country to immigrate within Europe amongst immigrants. Of course there are problems on the German side too. Bureaucracy, language barriers and discrimination. But they definitely don't deserve the unreasonable racism they face here in the comments. You can't criticize Germans for their alleged discriminatory behavior by unreasonably attacking and generalizing Germans themselves.
