Well I say its hypocrisy. Year after year, the immigration numbers keep increasing, the number of people applying for a PR and also getting a PR from abroad and inside Canada keeps increasing. People say they're fed up and they still continue to live in Canada. I say its all a hoax, nobody actually leaves, its just when two friends meet they say they're fed up of Canada, but the fact is they want a PR or citizenship and they continue to stay in Canada. So I say, the whole video is pointless

Not only is it it impossible to live here, there are no resources unless the government gets something from it. As an indigenous child who grew up in foster care my whole life, there was no indigenous foster care homes for me to go to and therefore my culture has become traumatic for me. My OWN culture has major trauma related to it and my foster care agency would NOT help me unless I moved to the reservation after I aged out the THEIR system, which was not applicable because they were the ones who traumatized me. When I turned 19, I was expected to have it all figured out, I was not allowed to remain in my foster home afterwards without massive paper work and thank god my foster mom cared about me because without her, I would be on the streets with nothing but a garbage full of clothes. I moved out on my own with the help of that family and my agency said they would help with things if I asked. As of the economy now, I did ask them. I asked them for any help at all and my social worker LITERALLY ghosted me and stood me up, even at my plea for help. You would think this is just my case but there are hundreds of cases like mine with even worse endings and what Canada has done with this information is nothing. Foster Care in Canada for indigenous youth is the 2000’s way of Residential Schools and I am EXTREMELY lucky to NOT be homeless and dead. Many of my friends in similar situations are dead or homeless and I have no hope for Canada, it’s an extremely depressing reality.

I wanna live here. I just can't afford to. I'm 38 and live with my mum, which is also due to my health but i have lived alone many times. my whole disability cheque would not cover a one bedroom and it's very hard to find a studio, they're all taken. Well, Canada as a whole is still well over 85% white European, fortunately. Despite what Wikipedia would tell you.\n\nThere are some signs of sanity beginning to creep back into Canadian politics though. The Roxham Rd. “loophole” is finally gone, by a newly implemented law and agreement between the United States and Canada. Canada is FINALLY reducing the number of student visas and temporary foreign workers entering this country. And I believe that Canadians have also finally had enough of Justin and the Liberals and will elect a Conservative or Conservative leaning government in the next election.\n\nThere are also other ways to peacefully protest what is happing with Canada right now. When it comes to employment, social or political circles, the white Canadian population can just stick with and help ourselves first before we can help anyone else. And that will depend on how easily or difficult it is for foreigners to assimilate and integrate into our country and culture. And if their behaviour is peaceful or violent and destructive.

Vancouver and Toronto are not even remotely representative of all of Canada. That’s like claiming New York housing represents all of America. Whole world economy is struggling, just be patient.

I was wrong the whole time about Canada!

Back in the 90’s people were pushing to “vote for Clinton” - Husband and or wife because they wanted healthcare based on the “Canadian model”. Sorry to see Canada implode so quickly under Trudeau but I think what you’ll find south of the 49th parallel is that we move much slower towards our demise so people either won’t notice it or associate the criminal economic policy to the economic corpse. It’s called the Federal Reserve and the whole world has been subsidizing our orgy since 1913. That’s how slow this death spiral really is. Do what’s best for you. Woah and I thought the American housing crisis was bad, but Canada just takes the cake to a whole other level!\nI mean sure there are the expensive states, like California, but not even their prices pale in comparison to the absolute monster of renting or buying a home in Vancouver or in Toronto.

I've lived in Canada my whole life and I've never been hurting so bad. Example... I got my auto renewal and it more than doubled! $300/month for a Honda CRV!! I've got air tags on it, a club on the steering wheel and it's parked in my garage as I work from home. Unbelievable!!

Before Canada would allow highly skilled / educated immigrants to esteemed universities. Now we let in double the students and most of them are in diploma mills which they get out of and end up taking up every unskilled labour position, pushing thousands of Canadians to the street and making it to where kids can’t even get summer jobs. And letting in this massive increase of immigrants has only made our housing situation even worse. We’re building half the homes than people we’re allowing in. The whole thing is a sh*t show

Its just lower standard of living. people that lived in 3rd world countries, the most tough situation in Canada is still better than their home country. So they are fine. The ones that are not fine are the Canadians that had it easy their whole life, and now they have to compete with these people that have gone through major hardships already and are used to it.

When I passed my Post Graduation in 70' s from London University ( in Engineering) Canadian Embassy gave me Visa and One way ticket for free. While I was in Embassy waiting .. I saw some colorful journals and green in summer mounds of snow in winter. I had grown up Central Indian Climate. 5 years in England still kept me alienated environ cold weather and Culture. Most disturbing was visible Brown skin foreigners for ever.....at 2nd tier of Society ,..... after getting 4 month Valid visa I started probing fron friends who had earlier migrated to Canada. Living, impediment of long very cold winter, 1970's Canada was still racist and Parliament had strong bill waiting to stop colored immigrants and keep country white...Then in 1975 the Bill was voted down. For the reason that old white generation was aging and demanding Pension and Health Care. Welfare Chest was showing bottom and had to be replenished by tax money. Young tax payers were needed. India, China and Black Carribian were overflowing with young workers...so they had swollow Colored immigrants. Country was the largest but most commercia cities are at border of America, because north is brutal cold. Canada could not build population. 30m (10% of USA.) And Economically behind CA$= 0.80USD. Let the Visa expire...and went back to my old country to Start my Consultancy office. Lived in upper middle class tier and retiring with comfortable cushion to survive . Saw the whole world during past decades of active life... Including Canada US China . Don't regret living among brown people where my roots are. No body looks at me as colored foreigner. Trying to find a job here in Canada is insane. i dont live near a big city by any means, but all low skill, fast food/grocery store jobs are now filled with punjabs. i see the job postings and i apply every time, but I'm constantly overlooked because i am not Punjabi. I've lived here my whole life! I've never liked it, and it's only got worse. When I went to Japan I was treated with more kindness, and respect more than Canada! I'm a recording artist, and there are no opportunities to succeed where as America and Japan have more potential for the music industry where as Canada is dead when it comes to the music business! Add in the fact my main source of income is disability from traumatic abuse. It's next to impossible to live, and manage any financial situation here unless you rich already!

One doesn't need a house in Canada. You go rent an apartment and you may live. Of course, if you earn 2000.00 to 4000.00 CAD per month. Which is rather difficult for immigrants. Usually, your pay is 10.00 CAD per hour, which gives you 1600.00 CAD per month. Which is way too little for covering your bills. Government instead of building cheap communal blocks of flats is building condos. But the cheapest condominium costs 500K CAD and show me people who can afford it....? You buy and pay monthly rent, yeah 2500.00 4500.00 per month only to cover rent. Plus 186.00 for internet and TV, 30.00 for stationary phone, 45.00 for mobile, 600.00 for monthly food for 2, plus meds, dentist, cabbies, electricity, water, then you add toilette, laundry liquid, toilet paper, towel paper, cat food, dog food, then the bill goes over 6000.00 if you wanna live in the condo. You have always private sector housing where monthly rent is from 900.00 to 2500.00, which depends on the district and quality of the apartment. For the landlord, you must pay monthly and renew lease each year. If you have roaches or bed bags, it's a bigger problem for you. Not every landlord uses paste. They use spray, which is not a roach killer at all, and whole your apartment will stink for months. Private sector has thin ceilings and wooden floors, so loud noise of your neighbour's may disturb your night rest or cigarettes. Smoke may fill up your space. Beware when getting sick. Family doc is unavailable, usually if you have one or at all if you don't.

I think this video generalize too much. It’s like this guy asked 3 person what they think about a whole country and made a video about it. I’m Canadian, I just bought a house for 100k. I graduated from college with 0$ student debts. I had back problems that are now gone and paid 0$ for it, and i absolutely never waited more than 2 hours at the hospital. I’m living in a peaceful community between mountains and the ocean. I totally love living in Canada and i legitimately cannot comprehend the hate about it. I worked in a lot of different Canadians cities with different communities and everyone has good things to say about our country. I travel a lot and when I see how life is elsewhere, I’m always glad to be back home.

I emigrated to Canada from the UK in 1982 the legal way & the whole process took about 3 years! The government wanted to know everything about my parents, how much assets they had, what kind of job & education they had etc etc. We didn't just show up & expect to be taken in! So I don't like what is happening one bit!

I love how you put in so much thought into creating your videos, you literally could have just sat in a couch and told us how living in Canada has been for the past 9 months, but you decided to shoot a whole documentary about it, it’s really beautiful ❤️

At the start of the video there were statements made that the immigration: foreign workers and international students - is putting a strain on the Canadian safety net. When the narrator was talking about homeless population there was a video piece showing opinions of some of the homeless people. Are those homeless people immigrants? If not how can you use that video piece to support your point?\n\nThere was also a chart showing how shelter occupancy grew in Toronto and how expensive it is to buy a house in Toronto. Toronto is not the whole country, you can’t make it seem like the whole country can’t “afford immigrants” because housing in Toronto is expensive.\n\nI view this report as an opinion piece: there were some statements made at the beginning but as the video progressed no evidence was provided to support those statements.\n\nI agree that there are problems that are tied to immigration in Canada but you can’t just state something without providing a factual evidence showing how immigration is linked to the problems covered in the video. This looks like cherry picking, not journalism.
