I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. In the last 4 years I have been nearly hit by Indian immigrant drivers who do not obey traffic laws in Ontario. I have met drivers driving the wrong way on way streets Indian, Drivers making illegal U turns and nearly hitting me Indian, drivers who change lanes in the middle of intersection Indian, every time my phone rings there is an Indian pretending to be CRA, or Amazon trying to scam money. Every fast food place is staffed by Indians who barely speak English can't be understood and fuck up the order. I have Indian customer ask me to break the law and carry more passengers than there are seat belts in my van I am tired of it I am tired having to compete against international students who come here on student visa's to study at some scam diploma mill college but not go to any classes and drive Uber. So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Those with professions like being an RN were under the impression that it wouldn't take that long or be that difficult to get their Canadian certification to work as RNs here. Instead, they found out that the process for that here in Canada is a lot tougher and takes a lot longer than they'd been led to believe. So many are left not being able to use their education to its fullest, instead working as care aides until they can get the proper certification. I know that this has also happened with doctors and engineers and to many in other professions for which they went to school for years. It's a real shame.\n\nThis massive influx of people coming from other countries, though, has been really tough on those of us who were already living here. It's been way too many people, and we just weren't prepared. It's been one of the biggest factors in the huge increase of cost of living and, of course, it's by far the reason we have an enormous housing shortage.\n\nI'm not completely anti-immigration, but I think that it needs to be stopped, at least for a while. Let us deal with what's going on now instead of bringing in more people that would only help to make things worse, through no fault of their own. There's no reason that we need to have more people coming here right now. We have way more than enough people here right now.

Entitled much? There's alot of stuff I can't afford so I don't have them. There's many places I'd love to live, but guess what I can't afford it. Let the man and his wife have the place back so they can offer it to someone who can. People like these tenants make me sick.

I get so sick and tired of people complaing about everything. It is what it is. Make the best of it. I choose to enjoy my life and not let stuff I cant change get me down. We live in a beautiful free country where with hard work and a bit of luck you can do anything, it just takes effort

Germany is a mixed bag. Depends on who you meet and how emotionally resilient you are when you get here. Then you have the flat lottery, the moody Amt workers lottery, the friends lottery, etc. But statistics have shown, that the majority of skilled workers do not stay long-term in Germany. This place is one of the most modern slave states there is. Did you know you it is illegal to not have a health insurance and stay as a resident. The paperwork to get the Jobcenter to cover my health insurance is mind-boggling and lengthy. It takes a lot of years to get “integrated” and be at auf Augenhöhe and Lohnhöhe with the rest of the natives. If Germany really wants to let in 400.000 extra workers every year, it needs to do better with urgent more affordable housing, rent caps not just kindergeld. And with their oh so magnificent education, they could have more bilingual or trilingual workers at places like the Einwanderungsbehörde or the Bürgeramt to make it more welcoming. Legalese is even hard in my own mother tongue! But there are good things and people here too.

Okay so no 100 k wont' get you that life you dream of, you'll get by in BC, but you can't buy anything. You can rent, you need 200 k now in BC, Kelowna average house is 1.1 m, Vancouver 1 bedroom is 3000 +, nobody wants to live in a jail cell, but maybe some wierdo's do? I don't know. \n\nIf your working and making 100 k in Vancouver, your working likely many hours for that, meaning there is no pay off, no car, rent a small apartment, have little savings.\n\nNow here's the REAL catch. If you make what some think is rich in Canada say 300 k a year. That works out to 182,000 after taxes, pension etc. Now homes in Vancouver, well let's maybe look at small condo's, hmm lets say a 850 sq foot condo sets you back 900 k, monthly mortgage is 6000, that's 72,000 a year, insurance, no car okay can't afford it, maybe a small car, 1000 a month insurance, payments fuel etc, cable, internet phone, etc etc food, another 2000 for a family of 3, wife one child. Thats now 9000 a month, dental, eye glasses, clothes, sports, other, another 1000 a month, 10,000 a month = 120,000 a year to live in a small 2 bedroom condo in Vancouver. Oh and condo fees 500 per month, so 126,000 a year, no extras yet.\n\nmeaning if you make 300 k a year and lets add on JOB expense, usually with high income comes some expenses, lets call it 6000 a year, suits, whatever. Thats 132,000 minus the after tax income of 182 and your left with 50,000 per year for savings and xmas, travel etc.\n\nNow you make 300 k a year and you live in a small 2 bedroom apartment and maybe some day, 10 years down the road you can buy a home. \n\nAnd the max you can afford on 300 k a year is around 1 million after a 100 k deposit.\n\nNow if you make more than that, there is NO reason to live in Canada, in BC they take 48 % of my income and what do I get lol, zilch, bad health care haha fun,

I can understand the pain the gentleman is going through my family own a life housing and land in Uganda very few tenants have paid and the government is not letting us evict them but love us to continue to pay our taxes while allowing encroachers to steal our land and some of them are military personalities. My mother just passed and every single day was struggling to pay her medical bills. And guess what the miltary government ishe helped put in power. They had no money to buy my arms and food for 30 years and even longer. As soon as those with evil mind intentions leave we shall go back to our daily routines take our kids to school. We white people feel like a minority in our own country and they make fun and mock how stupid we are for letting so many in. In many places right now they are asking at interviews and job ads they ask if you speak punjabi or indian and that should be illegal in Canada because we only have 2 languages English and french

in short canada was good but it got bad because its goverment is run by a bunch of selfish criminals,yes you didnt say the last part but i know the last part because i have done my research.\nits people are great its goverment sucks,youre country is not the only one more and more western country's leadership has turned into criminals over the last fuw decades and today its realy showing when they let there own country's get so bad people are leaving.\nofc there are good people in goverment am not saying there not but its clear the people making the dissisions are not good people.\nits the same in my country we have a weird messed up leadership thats increasingly making bad choices that make our country worse,some people migrate away other stay and fight it.

As much as I could make more money by living in the States no amount of money could make the anxiety of potential school shootings worth it. I know my kids have essentially 0% chance of that in Canada. Also getting cancer won't ruin me and my whole extended family financially. It's a mixed bag, I love aspects of both country and right now the affordability crisis here is awful but with the Liberals out of the way we'll bounce back. I would love to see a Conservatives + NDP + Green Party coalition, let conservatives run economic development, NDP the social programs and Green party be the climate watchdogs.

Alina, if you were born in Sovet Uninion (dismantled in 1991), you are at least 33 years old at the moment. You said that you begun travelling 15 years ago, so you were at least 18. With that, I can guess that you likely haven't got a college degree in a profession in demand. If you've got a proper education at McGill or UoT, your income would be in sx digits. You would likely have bought a house somewhere (not in Toronto or Van, let's say in Montreal) before covid, paying 2% interest rate, got married and have kids and a husband making six digits. So, you would be totally fine in Canada even considering increased living costs. Juat my 2 cents

The harsh winters in Canada have always been a negative living here but the quality of life used to help make up for it. Sadly, that just isn’t the case anymore. \n\nWe were able to buy simple family home on 1 acre of land back in the 80s with only one income. But the ever rising cost of real estate has made home ownership out of reach for many young people today. Burdened with high student debt, astronomical rental rates, and the high cost of living, most young people are living paycheque to paycheque. It’s a struggle just to keep one’s head above water, let alone build any savings for the future. \n\nI have two adult millennial children who find themselves in that position. They both have decent jobs but they’re just getting by, not getting ahead. Hi Alina, well done on your decision. This is not an easy thing to do. As well as Canada, i have lived in the uk and Greece. I don't want to make things harder for you but i want to warn you that the grass is never greener on the other side. I am very disappointed with Canada to be honest. My wife and i are moving from Alberta to New Brunswick next week in search of a quieter, calmer, cheaper life. Let's see what happens. I completely agree with all of your points. I could easily get political but i won't. Suffice to say, keep doing what you love. Screw the system that is forced on us. We work for no return. Work doesn't pay anymore. Focus on what fills you up no matter where!

Instead of Looking else where for the labour why cant Germany train its youth. Even though the population is low lot of German youth dont even complete a bachelor let alone masters . If Some thing is for free people dont realise it’s importance. Make it mandatory for students to study till bachelors make them involved in business
