I hate Brampton. 5 years ago u worked there for a year. The traffic was bad, the drivers were worse, the air smelled terrible even though we were off in empty fields, and there's blatant racism towards non-Indians in shops and stores. After we finished the job there, I never went back. Although now they're also filling up toronto, Vaughan and Woodbridge, it's only a matter of time before they suffer the same fate.\nI'm considering abandoning Ontario.

A close friend of mine lived in Brampton in the 1990’s and he called it Bramladesh even back then. I remember him telling me you could smell the curry in the air ?.

Gotta say, I have lived in Ontario all my life and in the past 5 years, it is shocking to see how it looks, (and smells) like Pakistan now... millions of struggling Canadians are unemployed, as millions of jobs vanish forever, yet there are hundreds of thousands of immigrants moving here every year? (If the economy is booming, then by all means bring in more people, but the Canadian economy has been in the toilet for a decade!)

9 years ago I was in same position when i went to Indian Embassy in London to get the emergency visa. Firstly we encountered very strong smell of cold Daal and aloo gobi then after an hr after nagging them few times a lady came with her fingers liaded with turmeric stains and she was so rude and slow that we spent half the day iver there. Believe me I am not exaggerating a bit when i say i was the only one there to be served and yet few indian employees in that office were busy having tea and snacks and cracking jokes. I remained silent and in the end lady gave me 1 month's visa and literally threw my passport out of the counter. \nWell I checked it and all i said you are a very rude person and you are turning London offices into Indian Govt offices.\nIts a shame some people just dont know how they blenish the name of their own country.

As a South Asian living in the Uk ?? I've heard of the Desis in Canada ?? as having a bad reputation due to the smell in a place called Brampton. For FFS, learn English and integrate with the local culture. If you dont, then go back to India. Wrong information. Students and new immigrants including work permits just pay 1000 dollars for 1 bedroom basement apartment in Toronto. Many Indian home owners give them rents at much lower price than the market rate which goes up to 1400 dollars a month but since they are Indians and new to Canada they give them for 1000 dollars a month. If students 3 people live in that, if families 2 people. Indian home owners do that for food cooking smells and other reasons. I see some new immigrants both working couple make up to 90k per year but still live in basement apartments for more than 3 years to save money. Indians are money saving people, do not want to spend money.

Lived in same Canadian province my whole life, here’s a solution to immigrants complaining go home to your country. Canada has been ruined by immigration but to be more specific Indians, they are everywhere, in PEI every single service industry job has been taken over by them and so a stigma is created working in fast food, gas stations, ect. No other race works there but Indians, it’s easy to spot an Indian on the road too, if not a massive dumb Punjabi sticker on their door just look at the license plate, you will see their surname every time. It’s a joke. It’s worse when you go to the gym and are surrounded by 80% Indians as some smell Soooo bad. So please, just go home. Trust me nobody wanted you to come, it was a political thing and you are the one race that filed in like rats. I'm doing my master degree in Northeastern university which is an American school. The students' demographics is super homogenous with 90% of students from India. The smell is unbearable
