Wow, just saw a comment I made 10 years ago. To say I am completely on the other side is an understatement. It’s not even just London, with mass illegal immigration, most places are horrible and white people are pushed out. They don’t integrate, end of.

I Love when Canadians and American are calling other people immigrants when they themselves are the also the immigrants. These lands were indigenous lands that where stolen from them, they even built schools over top of their bodies, yet they say this is their land. From an Arab / Canadian born and raised here this is truly sad. This country is literally built with all kinds of different nationalities and would be nothing without them all! Most of these negative issues have risen in the last decade and are true...I'm not sure why anyone would want to come here anymore, let alone stay here. I do not 100% agree with the racism comment....yes there are those few idiots, but strangely never saw or heard it most of my life except in recent years since ultra left University educated policy maker crowd has been reminding everyone daily how racist and privileged white people are. When you tell children and people that constantly it creates division....perhaps this is where her comment came from?

Regardless of all the mud-slinging in the comments, I strongly advise any prospective immigrants to Canada to consider their situation/ aspirations seriously before making the move to Canada. While Canada is indeed a beautiful country, especially from spring to fall, there is no doubt that it has fallen behind severely in recent years. This is a massively underperforming country and people (Canadians and immigrants alike) are struggling big time. There is a massive leadership problem in Canada, where trivial problems get 99% of the attention. Real problems (which are easily solvable by the way) get little to no attention at all. Either there is very little will or the current administration is simply incompetent. Either way, some structural changes need to happen before Canada can recover.

Many people who have commented with negative sentiments are not really aware how it's elsewhere especially in poor countries. If someone is looking a basic life, definitely you can manage a job , basic amenities and lot of safety. If someone is looking good quality life with decent savings , that's possible provided if he or she take additional degree and start working in intermediate roles regardless of the business. Having certain specific religious background could help since this society gives lot of importance to your religious background, whether you believe it or not. I am not saying society is intolerant but admin is highly biased. Income tax is there in almost all OECDs, if you are still not liking it , well, you know who to elect next time .

It's refreshing seeing Canadians' opinion on a national issue in the comment section. Just acknowledging that they face a problem and how it should be tackled, no aggressive xenophobia, no racism. Imagine what the comments would look like if this is a US problem. Maybe that's why people go there lol. I would love to be around people like this if I were an immigrant.

Amazing you can comment on a CBC news YouTube channel.. you cannot blame the huge influx of immagrants on just students coming here to learn... People commenting here about how it's not international students but just folks from a particular country should realize that it says a lot about Canada's attractiveness as a destination currently. How many of Canada's educational institutions do you think are going to make it if students from that country stop showing up? It's supply and demand, and currently only one country really cares about Canada.

why there should be islamic environment in Canada ? rather any country which is not being called as islamic country? \nYou people should understand that if you are moving to a different country, one need to follow that country rules , respect and adopt their culture but keeping your values high. Word of caution, in regards to climate , too hot is worse than too cold.....if you end up somewhere without air-conditioning , it is going to be much worse then having access to heating in winter.....been there , so I know :) Another comment, try to separate religion from politics,. If you were born in Canada, you might not be fully aware of the difference between democratic and non-democratic societies. Religion only is not enough to make you happy, and having two girls and willing to risk their rights, require at least a conversation with someone that knows more about it. I have my own experiences and it seems to me that you idealize societies in which these rights are non-existent . You are right, Canada has become a very different country than it was when I first got here, but is still far cry from where you are planning to go. Beware of things that people are not saying , and have your due diligence done for the sake of your children.

Some times i watch videos on differents experiences others migrants experiencing here Canada and we re on same boat. That s why i also made choice to move out in Colombia on the beach for my retirement.Then im here giving some advise. As immigrant myself, African from Gabon, we experiencing same realities of the West since 10 years now. At some point, i can say there s something broken in this country since last 6-8 years. As you making decision to leave Canada on the reasons you expressed, it is very important for you not be wrong chosing the wrong place again. You need to think about it seriously. Straight, can tell you 100% United states is worse than Canada as Muslim family to live in. You need to read all suggestions given in this Video. I have no idea where these people live in Canada. Having said that, some of the comments are so cruel. These people feel unsafe and want to move to a Muslim Majority country. They do not want to live in Canada which is a country where LGBTQ rights are equal to religious rights. So fine, let them go. No need to be mean to them.

For people commenting about house helps and maids being available in India, is it a healthy thing? The reason even middle class in india boasts about maids is the overpopulation of unskilled people and no minimum wages act that prevents exploitation of those house maids. Let government fix a minimum wage of 25000 for a full time maid and then see how many of us are able to afford them?

Because your want (or need) to be surrounded by a certain religion, is your want. Not the want of people and culture of a Western country.\n\nA few minutes further your say it yourself: You live your way of live and I live mine. \nThough this not mean 'I can do whatever I want in this place and culture'. \nCulture are places where certain believesystems, values and way of live are intertwined with eachother so people can actually live together. I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Crime and economics is worst everywhere also. But, it all depends on what criteria counts for you. About society, it's not easy to make real friends except other inmigrants that need it too. I think that a lot of people who seem to hate Canada in this comment section are either from Toronto and Vancouver, the two most expensive cities in the country, but these two cities don't represent Canada as a whole. \n\nPersonally I live in a smaller city in Québec (Saguenay) and life quality is super good, there are a lot of job opportunities and housing is very cheap, and it is an amazing place for outdoor lovers\n\nI saw many comments saying that the US is cheaper than Canada... Hello Saleh family, I have been following you for over two years now; I am not american or canadian but a physician and mother of two from a third world country in the Caribbean. I started following you because I was curious about the muslim faith and your way of life. I started following different muslim people (and jewish, vegan, homeless and more... basically anybody different than me) and after some time I saw that we were all humans in search of the same things in life. I completely agree with your decision of moving but was very disappointed in your comments towards the drag community. A person in drag reading a children's book is not indoctrination. A person in drag reading to kids is only teaching them acceptance and tolerance (exactly what you want the world to give to your girls who most likely wear a Hijab). A person in drag is an artist who finds joy and self worth in certain clothes, hairstyles and makeup... it is a person a human person with the same value as everyone else. It has nothing to do with sexuallity or sexual orientation... if we truly want freedom for Palestine, if we truly want to change the narrative and to prevent 75+ years of brutal occupation and racism ever happening again; we have to change the way we see our differences... is not enough to ignore and respect people who are different: we have to accept them and recognize their humanity and their worth; to value and foster acceptance and integration in the younger generations... that is the only way forward, that is the only way we will all secure a better future for our kids. I think it's clear, from the comments, that the problem is similar for all developed nations and the reason is immigrants from developing countries. It is also clear that most people who see this problem hate anything socialist or communist so... yeah. I don't think it's a coincidence the two ideas, the problem is immigration and the problem is socialism, are forming a clear pattern.

Wow.. after reading comments of so many people, I've realised that i really took a nice decision by cancelling my plans of shifting to Canada!

As someone in his late twenties living in Quebec, I got to say this is very accurate. I won't say things are as bad as some other people are saying in the comments, but I do feel like the country is going downhill. For me, these are the main three things that feels wrong:\n\n1. We, as citizen, tend to offload every responsibility to the governments. Each election, they promise to handle more, but fail times and times again to deliver on their existing responsibilities. But we still vote for them, because we fear personal responsibilities. They created these immovable bureaucratic monsters and they lost control. They promise new shiny things instead of fixing what is already in place.\n2. We lost all notion of what is necessary. People gets more and more entitled which leads to overconsumption and frustation. Quebecers used to be proud peoples who survived with the little they had. Now greed has consumed our identity and nothing is holder us together.\n3. I feel that jobs are less and less useful to the society. Even I, as an electronic/software engineer, wonder if my job as meaning. I feel we lost touch with the concrete world. Some people have 0 contribution to anything useful and have really good salary and work conditions, while others bust their ass in shitty conditions. I feel like everything that we need is produced/done by a frighteningly small amount of individuals.\n\nBut from what I heard Canada isn't the only country to feel these. It maybe just hit us harder.\n\nP.S: It came out way worst than I initially intended. Maybe it is that bad...
