The sooner you realize there’s zero truth in anything said by a politician, the sooner you can accept reality and move on with your life.

We have enough unemployed able body people that can do these jobs plus our own students. Those on social assistance receive monies but in many cases do zero to deserve it. These folks can and should be put to work no questions asked. This would include refugees and asylum seekers.

How about zero? Like what is he thinking ? Calgary has around 10% unemployment , they say it’s lower like 6 or 8% . When it’s that high then it should be zero. Also why not just shut the border down for 5 years ? I’m not against imagination but too much too fast for too long is causing big problems. Plus stop wasting tax payer dollars and giving it away.. I'm in Southern California. Several years ago our neighbor down the street got new renter,'s, they looked great on paper. As soon as the landlord handed over the keys, the nightmare began. Four adults who were not even on lease moved in, they had visitor's at all hours of the day, never paid a penny in rent, it took one year to get them out. House was totally thrashed. Owner lost rent money, in addition lost $30K to have repairs made. These scammers who play the system have no SOUL, zero morals. It's such a shame the laws are made to protect the SCUM of the earth who do this all their life to honest hard working people

This man crossed through several countries before arriving in North America. By law he should be deported to one of those countries where he changed planes or travelled through. He has ZERO right to be in Canada or North America . . . using a fringe community to exploit a loophole in the law is an abomination. Legally Deport this illegal migrant as fast as possible to one of the countries where he passed through and tell him he is banned from entering Canada. \n\nAlso, 44 Deportations a day is no where near enough. Every single migrant (legal or illegal) needs to be legally deported as fast as Legally possible or we will lose our Western Society and end up with a giant wall built by Donald Trump at Canada's southern border . . . this is no joke, these migrants are balkanizing Canadian regions and creating no-go-zones where Sharia Law and lawlessness has replaced Canadian Culture and our Canadian Criminal and Civil law system. Legally Deport all migrants as fast as possible.

It's too expensive to live in Canada as an entrepreneur with unstable income and it's actually better to work remotely in a cheaper country, even if it's less stable. \n\nAs a few other comments have noted, many issues North America has developed are global issues. Many people don't realize many of the issues are from Central Banks lowering interest rates to zero or negative all to back stop aging demographics. This has been the trend for 30+ years if you check charts of interest rates and government bonds.

Amazed that Canada being such a resource rich country cannot even provide affordable housing for her people. Learn from Singapore, with zero natural resource but still have 85% house ownership. Perhaps Canada should outsource managing the country to the smart Singaporeans!

Hey, to all you people from Europe, how about you take a look at what your own country did in the middle east, aswell as what America did. \n\nDid your countries not go there? Did they not shell the cities and houses there? \n\nAnd if you don't think it is your countries fault, but America's or Canada's fault, why has your country not protested their actions? Why have they been silent?\n\nStart using your brain. Your government gives ZERO F's about you, your family and culture, etc. They care about money and looking good towards the rest of the world.\n\nSo protest against your government, not because it is allowing migrants in, but because it allowed for migrants to form. Because yes it would have been more expensive to help rebuild their homes and society after Europe and most of north America blew it up, but that is how the world works. Breaking stuff is easier then fixing it. \n\nBesides, I have heard that countries have a beautifully large amount of money going towards the military. How about instead of them causing trouble to YOU, the common people, and isntead use that money to keep your country actually safe.

I’m a Korean American who has lived here my entire life since birth. I have lived in many other places and the thing about immigrants is they ALWAYS share the same traits wherever they go. \nI live in an affluent area and whenever the immigrants from poor countries come in they all do the same things…throw trash and litter everywhere, the attitude of “I made it just like you therefore I deserved to be treated like a king”..telling them to turn down the music at 2am and not understanding why so instead you are met with argumentative resistance instead of them just saying “hey we’re sorry won’t happen again, we don’t want to be that guy in this neighborhood. Our apologies” but nope. They continue to do it night after night and the audacity to even get angry. The crowding of all of their families in disrepspectful ways such as cutting in line while everyone else is patiently waiting, if there is free samples of food, they will group up and annihilate whatever they are offering not even caring about anyone else but their own. Leaving a very bad image for us East Asians when people from the red flag dragon nation come in droves. Being extremely loud in public while talking about petty nonsensical things most times but they yell and laugh not caring whoever else is around. Even if the room is quiet they have zero situational awareness, never putting things back when they grab them from stores or gym etc. they expect someone to pickup and do this for them. The entitlement ?….if something is on sale they don’t understand to take just one or two, they have to take the entire box so no one else can get it. \nI his list never ends and they don’t understand why people don’t want them living in their countries. It’s not just Germany it’s everywhere. \nHow do you expect people to like you when you make it difficult to do so.

Currently we are paying to the gov't upwards of 50% of our earnings in a gamut of taxes and excises. That hard earned money is spent with zero transparency on activities that, many of them, are directed against the people. However, finding another country to move to, with better leadership, where to work and live, now and in the near future is a real challenge

Exactly. Just because YOU have a good salary or job, if everyone around you is collapsing economically then there is ZERO point in staying in that country. I was a PR of Canada until 2017 when I let my PR card lapse and I let go of my PR status. No reason to move to Canada anymore. I have seen too much destruction from drugs and addiction in Canada. The society has rotted from within and the foundation of it has collapsed socially. Doing well for yourself does not help when everyone else around you is on a death spiral morally, spiritually, socially and economically.

If you make money online there is no reason to remain in Canada and pay so much tax when you receive almost nothing in exchange. There are countries like Panama where you pay zero tax from income made abroad. Panama does not have the luxuries that Canada offer, It is still a third world country. But your rent is much less and you don't pay tax.

To little too late. My neighbour is like India now. Garbage everywhere, zero respect for locals, crime is up like crazy, dozens of cars stolen, inflation through the roof, half the people don’t know traffic rules, the young people think they are gangsters and have massive egos.

We just left Canada 2 weeks ago. Now we’re in the US. Canada has gotten worse for the last few years or decades according to some. When we applied for Canada, all the prosperity was promising. It was like second or third option behind the US and UK. And now, after 7 years, we have decided to really act and do what’s best for our family and the future of our kids. The main reasons why we left Canada, it’s the high and doubled taxes, the very slow healthcare, you get to start to zero despite your decades of managerial experience, they don’t honor your diploma cuz they have their own standard even if your education or work is US standard, the housing and rentals are skyrocketing. Imagine if the rentals are increasing every year by $50-150 is insane. It’s just so inhumane. Back in my birth country in the Philippines, if you’re poor or low income family..the government don’t tax you. You get a high percentage of healthcare assistance and you also get some free social services including monthly allowance from the national government and another separate assistance from the local government. Canada is beautiful if you have money with all the good and kind people around, but the expenses, it’s gonna kill your pocket.

This is what happens when there is zero accountability when you don't pay your rent. They aren't held financially responsible and they get off scot free, God forbid you owe the government money though. They will destroy your credit and throw you in jail. As long as its happening to us peasants its ok. Just shut up, take your shots, don't say anything that can offend anybody, and you'll be allowed to go to work everyday to give them 40% of your pay.

We had not communicated in a long time BUT... I think you were surprized how much you enjoyed to exploration of Russia a few years ago but quality of life was very good then but even better now, but retaining the unmatched access to culture, very low cost of living much lower crime rate than Canada/US/Europe, and cost of living about 1/10th of Canada, great health and easy to get a residency and citizenship due to being from Ukraine originally. For your travels, it is a little more complicated due to US sanctions but from here in St Petersburg it is really easy to travel by bus to Estonia and fly anywhere in the world. Estonia is the cheapest cost of living in the Baltic. I have flown to California several times using that route and to London the flight is $50 euros. \nAlthough you explored a lot here there is so much more to see and experience.\nThere is no doubt the western countries that relied on cheap labor and resources from colonies are all in a downward spiral and the east is rising. All the BRICS countries have positive growth in quality life and economic growth and a total of 108 countries have either applied or expressed serious interest in joining the largest trade block in history while the US empire fades at an accellerating rate. I would not go back the the crime, homelessness, anger, poverty of the US but have family business to take care of every 4-5 years. The decline is not a temporary downturn, the banking collaps that is accelerating now and impossible to pay back debt, it is really sad to see how the US is turning out. When growing up in California we had everything , really the golden state but is a wreck now. The politics is corrupt and owned by the employers of lobbyists.\nIf you come here to St Petersburg I have extra room in the city center with a Metro across the street and walking distance to more culture beautiful parks and zero hassles or conflict on the streets The crime rate is so low I can't even remember anything significant in the last 10 years, walking anywhere in the city of 7 mil would be safe at 3am. Anyone who voted for Trudeau and his party of communists got exactly what they wanted. You don't elect a drama teacher with ZERO real-world experience to lead your county. I'm feeling the same. This country is running by bad managers who cannot be fired no matter how horrible their performance is. My friend from China visited me in Toronto about two months ago and he said he had zero interest in immigrating to Canada now because the streets look so trashy which I can totally relate. I came back from Japan last year and it was a bit culture shock to see how dirty the streets are in Toronto compared to Tokyo (not even the cleanest in Japan). I have to constantly remind myself I'm lucky to have a comfortable bed and a not too bad salary but my monthly savings after all the expenses are actually decreasing from year to year even I get a pay raise every year (I track all my spendings and income every month). Now it's time to consider other options before it's too late.

The companies give false information to local municipality job centres so that they can get a subsidy of taxes and always on their company websites they put some jobs but in reality, they just interview and don't recruit and report to the government they are facing severe skill shortages and this companies are millions in Germany and they get tax waivers, economic support from government and to make the economy run government welcomes foreigners and innocent foreigners fell into prey in this cycle and got wanted there time.\nthey just pay like in India nothing difference, to and fro flight charges makes savings zero, can't enjoy social life, no good desi food, too much cold, costly transportation, very waste health system it will take months to get an appointment, heavy 42% taxes after all nothing is left for us...

It's the Gov't, the weak, non-enforcing Gov't of Canada. I reflect back to highschool, we had teachers we knew we could push..... goof off and talk back to and then there were teachers, everyone knew, don't mess with, that had a zero tolerance policy. There is virtually zero need for immigration in western countries anymore -- legal or illegal -- and we citizens of these need to start legislating accordingly.

They have done the same thing here in Australia. Immigration tap is on full bore, basically zero housing available, 10-20 immigrants crammed into each house. We have Australian's earning 6 figure incomes sleeping in their cars because there is just no homes available (even if they can afford it). Our governments hate us with a passion.
