As a Canadian, I am not a fan of Trudeau, but he spoke well and thoughtfully today.

I had never thought for a second that this would ever happen between two friendly countries. These two countries are literally siblings. I hope for a peaceful relationship.

I always joked if something goes down, I’m moving to Canada. The thought is no longer a joke. Funny how life works.

Prime Minister, I have not voted for you three times. I have not really agreed with your policies since you came to power. I have even thought that you did not know when to make a 'dignified departure. And now today when you have literally five days left before you step off the dais for good, I listen to you and am proud. This is what a leader does and says and I give you my respect and thanks as a fellow Canadian.

Prime Minister Trudeau, thank you for showing the world how a true gentleman and leader talks to the leaders of another country in spite of the irrational, immoral and turncoat actions from a former Ally; our (?) new MAGA President Donald Trump. It's so surreal that this narcissistic, psychopathic person actually won the Presidential election (again). All I can say is I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of my broken country's politicians in Washington, D.C. at present. Many more Americans support the democratic policies than the anti-democratic that Trump's regime is spouting all around the world. Just know this isn't what most Americans believe and we don't support his thoughts and actions. We are trapped in this nightmare that makes no sense. We hope this is just a temporary change. These new policies benefit no one but the oligarchs of America (and world). I guess we are just going to have to take our punishment for the few years for not being able to prove that these people in Washington care NOTHING for anyone, including their own constituent, and are hell bent on taking down and destroying our American, Democratic way of life and we, the people, are helpless to stopping it dissolve and crumble. Drugs is nothing but an excuse… Canada isn’t sending drugs… we don’t have the population to make enough drugs to supply the USA. That’s literally the dumbest excuse and if Americans believe that they are dumber than I thought. If your having people or drugs coming in to you country then fix whatever your border agents are doing that’s allowing that. Use your head America… you’re loosing your freedom to a tyrant.

I would not want to live down there with the pervasive American attitude. I thought my American friends were lovely people, but then we went to a restaurant together. I was flabberghasted by how they ALL spoke down to the waitress, as if she was beneath them. You can pick out the American tourists here, by how they talk to service people. I wish I could say this was a stereotype, but i live in a tourist town and see it every day.

God is giving us a good and deserved lesson here: Don't trust men. Trust God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. Instead of trusting God, many thought that a golden era was coming. But God had other plans. He cannot be mocked. We all reap what we sow.

Before everyone loses their mind over the grandstanding on either side… They should take some time to research the import/export world. If Trudeau thought he had the upper hand in this, he would have dropped the hammer. He doesn’t. The US economy will find a workaround before the 21 days are up, and Canada will have even less of a leg to stand on.

Even thought it sounds nice he's actually lying because there IS no 1.3 Billion dollars plan in play. They can't do it because he prorogued parliament hence can't pass any bills or release funds to anything. The rest seems right but that part is a fallacy.

Mr. Trudeau, I wish you could be the American president. You have more of what we need than trump ever thought about. To my Canadian friends, my apologies. My country has entered an embarrassing period of time. We will resolve this, but it will take time. In the meantime, please know that the problem is our president, not our people.
