I was born and raised in Canada and last august I left to move to the Czech Republic. If you’ve ever been there you’ll know it’s not the cheapest country and I live in the most expensive city. I still am able to afford to live off my not so high salary of an English teacher. I wouldn’t be able to afford living away from my parents in Canada, I’m not saying it’s been easy or cheap, I have 6 roommates and my rent is over 50% of my monthly salary. I had to take out a loan from my parents to afford all the visa fees and hidden costs of moving to another country. However if I had stayed in Canada I would have been earning less because I couldn’t find a job in my field. I am filled with rage about the governments decisions to mess up the country like they have. And yes we have an immigration problem but they are not the problem, it’s the government. My mother was an immigrant to Canada, and yes she’s doing okay right now but things have changed a lot since she immigrated and how Canada is now.

I was in the emergancy room waiting room one time, an american was visiting and his wife had a heart attack she was operated on inside of a day and the husband was trying to pay his bill and he was shocked that his bill was only 2500 dollars and he kept asking if he was going to get a bill in the mail, he would not! But he kept saying that this happened in his hometown and it cost him 60,000 Dollars oh by the way he had not even thought about the money conversion so his bill was 2500 canadian not american.

I remember a few years ago, Canadians were celebrating their 150th anniversary of the founding of the country... my work colleagues were very happy, proud... and me... well, I just told them that my capital ( Québec) had just celebrated its 400th anniversary of founding... I kindly told them reminded that my state existed long before Canada, that he had never signed their constitution and that one day we would be gone. Canada is a state and part of USA, and states should take permission from country head of state. It's India calls to issue visa or deny it. News channels has become brokers who would say anything when they are paid. Global News is one of them.

Trump's argument against birthright citizenship would have been more effective if instead of saying that the United States is the only country that has it, which isn't accurate, he could have said that out of 195 countries on the planet, only 33 countries besides the United States have birthright citizenship so why shouldn't the United States be in the majority and not have birthright citizenship?

Idk i think you need to realize that we also have our bias in addition to you having yours. Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. What is normal and known /familiar and normal so we aren’t ignorant to , is completely different. \n\nFor us we have our pockets usually in more rural less populated areas further away from larger cities where there is more diversity but that’s the same often in many countries that you will find some of the louder racist homophobic intolerant voices typically in places that truly are unfamiliar and ignorant to the experience of growing up with and around much of any diversity of varying kinds. So it’s not to say we don’t have racism and intolerance of course like anywhere we do. It’s just contained and the range and frequency and intensity is MUCH different. We distinguish nuances of diff cultures and religions more easily and in larger numbers we’re more familiar with diff ways of life , language , food, dress , holidays , values and used to a much less segregated way of existing even when we are differnt from each other as the NORM. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. Quite honestly. \n\nI think the absolute undying favourable passionate upholding and support of nationalistic, capitalist, hyper individualistic mentality about society as a whole (from my Canadian born and bred perspective lol) makes the differences even more glaring blaring and hard to swallow for us lol. I think more Canadians would feel exactly how that comment stated , that you felt was not fair for us to experience America as. I think the truth is a lot of Canadians are being too polite to let you know that’s exactly how a lot of America comes off to a lot of Canada ?

I dont mind the indians since i dont live in an area with too many indians. Well i do (markham) but what annoys me (not tryna sound racist but i just need to say it) theres a lot of chinese here and markham's demographics is like 27-19% european and indians are 19% here but here we have nearly 50% chinese out of our like what 368,000 citizens.. i dont mind them but everywhere i go i hear people speaking chinese, posters in chinese, even some teachers have been teaching more chinese than canadian history at my sisters school. My PE class is 18 chinese kids, 3 white kids, 3 indians and 3 black people. See what i mean.. They're smart and keep to themselves but in my experience they're pretty loud and can often be a bit rude and a lot of the times a bit racist too. Edit: before anyone asks yes i am white. I am not trying to be racist but I would just like someone to hear me out. I think people in Brampton are having similar issues.

Ummmmm.....I think the MAJORITY are from India and Pakistan. The building I live in....3 years ago I think had 1 or 2 East Indian tenants ....now I would say 75% of my building is East Indians. Its completely out if control. OUR BORDER IS CLOSED!!!!!!

As a russian who raised in Germany i can say its impossible to close friendships with germans if you are not familiar with them since kindergarten or school ?I ve spent 25 years of living here and got only one german friend, all other are foreigners who raised in Germany like turks, russians, greeks and so on. My advice would be , come to Germany for economical reasons, but go to England or Spain if you care about social life.

Politicians always play safe for their benefits, but any native should never feel a stranger in their own hometown, it's a nightmare, I'm an Indian, from Kerala, I can't think of feeling and outsider in Kerala, so totally understand what people feel in any part of the world. But don't you think, any outsiders coming and occupying the masses seems like a problem with the efficiency of people there, even here in Kerala we used to speak of Tamil population in early 80s and now Bengalis occupying our street, but can we actually blame them? I would say no, we didn't do our job, they came and did the job and now they are in huge numbers. The same happens anywhere in the world. You don't do your job right, someone will come down the job and probably occupy a heart share of the city gradually, for malayalis Kochi esp Aluva is a real time case study for the same.

It’s great to see and hear two well informed Russian immigrants who clearly know what’s wrong with Canada than most of its complacent citizens and mostly all of its politicians. I watch many YouTube videos of westerners,mostly Americans,Canadians, Australians Brits who have emigrated to Russia many with their families. They all have good things to say about their experiences and don’t regret their move.\nWhich begs the question I must ask. Do you two ever regret leaving Russia in light of the frustrations you have seen here or encountered personally in terms of cost of living, crime,culture,government inefficiencies, not so subtle censorship to name just a few issues. \nIt would be nice to hear your thoughts on that subject.

I’m an American citizen who was born in the United States (Hawaii). Everyone has the right to support or not support President Trump’s plans for mass deportation. The interviewer asked this Mexican American woman her opinion and she’s entitled to her opinion. There are a lot of Hispanic people who agree with Trump. I don’t think she’s turning her back on her family by saying “it’s okay” if they get deported. I think she’s respecting and supporting the rules of Immigration laws to have legal documentation to live in the United States. Rather than disrespecting and ignoring Immigration laws the way her family did. I think in a way she’s saying “it’s okay” her family gets deported because they deserve to be penalized for breaking Immigration laws for entering and staying in America for 20 or 30 years illegally which is valid and understandable. It comes down to the phrase “You commit the crime you do the time” whether it’s family or not. I believe she has a leg to stand on because she followed Immigration laws, received her Green Card and is living in the United States legally. If a family member of mine committed a crime and were put in jail or deported back to their country I would say “it’s okay” too. You reap what you sow.

This planet has 9 billion potential customers...The right thing to do was not to put tariffs but to open an EV factory in the USA using Chinese technology and money and everybody would benefit except Elon Musk and gas and oil corporations ..BYD or NIO better than Tesla costs about 25,000$ only... Tesla sells batteries for EVs for 26 000$...The same battery made in China costs 7.000$ because China has its own lithium. We should say goodbye to Elon Musk batteries and import batteries from China or make a lithium deal with Bolivia as China did. Doing the opposite causes friction and even arguments where customers explicitly say: “Please don’t talk over me, listen to me first.”\nPutting myself in the shoes of a hiring manager who is culturally Canadian, knowing that Canadians are very risk averse and kept to themselves: Why would I stir the pot in the workplace by bringing in a foreign worker who may have internalized habits that are seen as rude and abrupt?\nIt’s not only about English skills, degrees, who does things faster, etc., but cultural awareness. If you don’t take the time to learn about the culture of the place you are migrating to and/or expect that locals welcome habits that could be perceived as rude and shocking to most Canadians, you are going to limit your network to only people in your cultural group - which will definitely hinder opportunities for growth. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that everybody thinks and acts the same as you do.

in my work we have mostly immigrated east Indians from various area's 5 white males and 2 white females the rest in our local branch out of 47 employees are non white keep in mind though that is a ground level branch number up higher are wealthier white manager positions were the ratio is primarily white bodies but one thing i hear them saying a lot is that they do not like going back home that when they do they are targeted as wealthy off the planes and are stalked and targeted apparently one thing i never would have thought is they also say there is a ton of roaming mob crime in india that girls and men are targeted who are of native blood and that even in there homes they are not safe so i mean if we bring in majority young males from these regions you have to think that bad habits come with them i would probably disagree if the majority were young girls mostly because i dont think any culture has a surplus of problematic immigrating young women it just doesn't happen

If tariffs costs are not paid by the country they're placed on, then why would she care? Im from India and had also encountered such behaviour with an Indian embassy official in Doha Qatar and he too behaved with me in a rude and absolutely arrogant manner. I wasn't allowed to take my mobile with me in the consulate otherwise I would have certainly filmed it. Here in the video he clearly knows that he isbeing filmed...but look at his behaviour...he dosen't care a damn.This is because he knows there will be absolutely no repercussions for him. He clearly says Get out....is this what he is paid for? All my fellow Indians who are saying that there must be a second side of the story have obviously not dealt with such high handedness of Indian officials. Seriously, this is an absolutely disgraceful and pathetic attack by the liberals. Here is the cold hard fact. The government controls immigration. The government controls who and how many. The liberals have been granting student visas for years, literally unchecked in both numbers and who they were given to. The schools merely took in however many the liberals let in. Hundreds of thousands of them. Had trudeau set a reasonable cap to begin with, then the schools would only be accepting that capped number. The more trudeau let in, the more the schools took on. This wasnt the fault of the schools. This is an absolute direct result of the liberal government completely screwing up the immigration system. \n\nNot only did trudeau let in far too many students which blew up school enrolment, but it messed up the entire employment system, healthcare system and housing market. Not to mention that it drained the foodbanks and students were using them as their grocery store. Now we have hundreds of thousands of international students demanding trudeau support them, give them housing, jobs and citizenship. To say trudeau completely wrecked immigration doesnt even come close to what has resulted. The entire country is now reeling from this, and it will take decades to resolve the consequences. \n\nTrudeau is despicable. And to think our tax dollars paid for his pathetic finger pointing video.

I find it remarkable that the pew is saying there is a total sum of 11 million when we know by 2023 that 12 million illegals under Biden alone has come. if that doesn't prove that graph or pew are lying stats I don't know what is. I remember I'm in my 30s I rememebr there being like a million illegal immigrants come in each year since 2000 sometimes you would have more. Now unless they somehow decided to magically leave or you magically amnestied an additional 30 million people on top of the 12 that just came in 3 years prior not counting this year. I don’t get why Europeans don’t get how this would be done. \nTHERE WILL BE NO DETENTION CENTERS. Meaning what Trump is tryna say , they will literally pick these people up. I saw it with my own eyes in 2019. I was locked up in Colorado. I watched them raid construction sites hospitals. Numerous other businesses arresting hard work in Mexican people. Imagine all the nurses and workers at hospitals that are from other countries. I watched them arresting nurses. Arresting tab drivers Uber drivers. I watched them raid schools and arrest children. I watched them put these poor people in jails with real criminals. All the immigrants loved me. I was actually in a federal and ICE facility. So I literally saw all of the immigrants. I protected them from the racist white people. I'm from Tampa Florida, so I'm used to the jails and prisons being majority, black guys. But in Colorado, it's white supremace, gangs and Mexican gangs. What's even more sickening? Is people from Washington would come in and take some of the Indians out. And when they came back, I would ask them questions and they said that the government people would get information on their family back in India and see if they could pay 50k to stay in America. It was sickening. I found out that what they were doing was deporting. Poor people and the people that have money back in their country. They have their families send money and let them stay. I saw it with my own eyes.

Ohhh if it was her own child I’m sure she wouldn’t be saying that’s ok.., there are many like her out there. They get those papers and they think they work for the White House. If she would’ve visited Mexico and had a kid while visiting and didn’t have the money for a green card it would have been a completely different situation. For those just because you got your papers do you not think that there are people that came here as infants or kids to immigrant parents that came to work to provide for their kids it’s not that easy to get your green card it cost thousands of dollars. Many immigrants that I know and worked with including myself, I came here as a refugee. Immigrants are the hardest working people I know. Unfortunately a lot of the ones that came here as kids grew up in some neighborhoods that are not so great and mainly are kids that were born here that are in gangs or doing drugs or violent so don’t blame immigrants saying they bring all this with them it was already here … drugs gangs violence was already here. Gangs started in the White House with their red and blues. Then they say they are taking all the jobs.. the jobs have always been here but people that are citizens are too lazy to go get jobs or keep jobs ( not all citizens) but the ones that are complaining immigrants usually come from villages without any media or drugs or gangs ect. They simply come here for better opportunities or for jobs. They come to work not to freakin take your jobs… this country everyone is a damn immigrant this country was taken from the natives taken with violence by killing them , rapi!’ Them. They can practice their religion and traditions like anyone else. But, when you are welcomed into our country and you start wanting to raise your flag, stop us from celebrating Christmas and do U-turns everywhere you go in your car because that's what you verbally say is acceptable in your country, it becomes ridiculous and people are not responding well to any of of it. The northern border between USA and Canada is a few thousand miles long mostly in wilderness and ummarked. Harsh terrain and winter condions gives natural protection vs roaming illegals.\nThat being said, it would be financially crippling for Canada to build border structure and patrols along 1500 miles. Some even say imposible.

Something trump supporters and everyone needs to understand is that there is NO application to just apply and come here legally! That’s why her family has been here for 20 something years. Only people that can “apply” are asylum seekers. Anyone from any other country there is no such application. There would only be an “application” is there was an immigration reform that would allow people that want to come or have been here to apply. There has not been immigration reform/amnesty in decades. \n\nI urge everyone to YouTube or go on the uscis website and find this so called application. The only way is either 1. You were born somewhere else and your parents are citizens 2. Enlist in US military 4. Marriage with a us citizen. So it’s not as easy as just applying, if it was there wouldn’t be so much illegal immigration. \n\nNo excusing or saying it’s okay to come illegally, just saying the reason people do it that way is because there hasn’t been and there currently is no process to do it legally.

Trump's new Border czar, Tom Homan said on CBS 60 Minutes, 2 days before the election, that he'd deport illegal immigrants AND legal immigrants AND those born in America who have illegal parents or grandparents. That means mixed-status families would all get deported AND today said the administration would conduct workplace raids!!!! Nothing else to say.
