I am living in Canada right now and I agree with all the points mentioned however,\n1. As a lady I feel safe, no one judge me for my clothes, no one stare me disgustingly and no one consider I am his private property to assault.\n2. I feel safe when my kid goes outside to play. People here follows laws strictly. Vehicle stops even at signal allows them to proceed, always I repeat always driver signals me to proceed.\n3. I feel happy that my husband is valued in his office and much appreciated. His seniors credit him for his hard work and everyone here encourage us to have proper work life balance.\n4 I agree we pay high tax but atleast we are getting benefits in return. Public libraries, transport system are top notches. \n5. Banking, health care, all government facilities are very systematic. We were not even aware we have completed 18 months in Canada and we received letter from government stating very soon my son's child benefit will start. We didn't even enquired about it. They processed it automatically as per our arrival date.\n6. And lastly, we celebrated Independence Day here in Calgary, it was great event and all officers were protecting us. I clearly remember while dancing , huge Indian flag dropped down by a toddler and one Chinese officer,he picked it up and gave it to nearby adult.\n\nLife is valued, humans are respected,laws are followed here so I don't regret my decision of migrating but yes, honestly I do miss India as well and I am proud I am an Indian.

Very true brother. We Indians wants to follow our culture in public places which annoys them. It is not only Canada but in other countries as well. We have to get educated to say please thank you and smile from our parents and lower school levels. Most western countries feel we are rude and liars.We have to go long way to get this right.

Well it does come down to the immigration policy. This is bound to happen with any country allowing mass immigration from any country. Similar things are taking place in Uk with Muslims and USA with Latin Americans. I am sure Indians won’t like it if there is mass immigration to India from Europe or Africa or any other place. I don't think we can keep this many newcomers happy. It's overwhelming. I understand how they are drawn to work here, as they can return home after a few years and live extremely well from the exchange. Most Indians earn maybe $10 a day in India. Just a guess.

I'm a white Canadian Nurse. This fellow spoke very well. I've always been pro immigration to mesh cultures and increase the population of this huge Country. However, in the past few years I'm made aware of the increasing violent gangs, theft, plagiarism, dishonesty, Indians getting managerial positions then only hiring Indians, cheating in schools, fabricated names.\nI have a rental and there was a time I chose what I thought a wonderful young Indian couple over 25 others looking. At 21 yrs old, she boasted how she and her Indian friends could trick the cash register at The Bay where she worked giving themselves 80% off everything. He worked for cash for another Indian. They were shameless. Who goes to a foreign Country and steals.

As an Indian living in India, I also hate Canadians as well. They stereotype whole India without realizing the diversity of India. They are putting the blame on Indians, but not ready to acknowledge their immigration policy is poor. Your immigration policy should encourage bright minds to move there, but their selection criteria favours particular religion, area and people. Punjab is only a small part of India and so is Gujarat. Majority of Indians don't care about Canada.

I have met a lot of Indians both good and bad. When you go to a store or somewhere you have this race of people who won't speak Canadian language, unless it's absolutely necessary. God forbid if you say to them they should speak English ior French in Canada, you are always called racist. When you hear of a murder of drug raid, it's almost always an Indian name. Hell, when you are cut off in traffic, well as you said in ithe beginning they look like you, not me. As I said at the first I have met and made friends with Indians, but it begins to piss you off, when there are so many. Our government has to stop the import of one race and if need be choose a little of all races, and prepare.

The Indian community in UAE are smart, well respected and highly professional in dealings with other expats and host country, they are the best representation of incredible India! This totally the opposite from Indians in Brampton specially those international students.

I live in the US and there’s a nice Indian man that I’m friends with, he has a visa, works, and is overall a nice guy! Well his visa is about to end and he has to leave, but there are currently Haitian asylum seekers here who contribute nothing to our society and they are demanding driver licenses. The system is so unfair it’s crazy.

I have friends from india they did there best to integrate and have similar values to other canadians. Indian food is my favorite but too many people come here and dont want to adapt or adopt canadian values they stay in the community they are most fammilar with and retain values that arent in line with canadian values if you plan on living here get to know the locals and we will treat you well canadas a melting pot come chill with us we got good cocaine and shit

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. There was a polling conducted and most Canadians want less immigration from India . Canada is not as big like America . Having so ma y people come in just puts a strain on housing, who would think that people from a hot country would want to go to a cold country…. Just go to a wormer country . I live in Scotland for last 5 years, moved here because I was tired of India. Its corruption, polarized politics, and also how people behave. I have been welcomed by the Scots here, treated with respect and made many Scottish friends and know families who are some of the kindest warm people you will meet. \nI also know lots of Indians who are well behaved and good residents of Scotland. But sometimes I see Indians who simply take advantage of the Scottish hospitality. These Indian abuse the honor system to the point that it has become less prevalent. I once seen some north Indian guy singing vulgar Bhojpuri songs to a white girl when on the sidewalk in a manner that can be called eve testing, that made my blood boil. I absolutely hate it and avoid some Indians unless I personally know them. Being and Indian I dont want to be associated with Indians abroad because these 1-2% Indians have given the rest of us a bad name.

An Indian who speaks English and has 3 family members, believe me, they didnt escape extreme poverty, also they paid a lot as well. I am an Indian so I know how things work. A lot of them just have a false view about the western countries, that these countries are oh so great and they will live better there. As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. Its also not Canada that is selling the dream. Its recruiters in India, who likely are Indian, running a business in getting their countrymen visas to Canada. I know, these systems exist in many other countries as well, like China.
