Kirpan is allowed in India but not in other countries. Kindly follow the rules of other nations. This kind of activity will impact the image of other Sikhs all over the world.

I am an Indian and even I will not support this. Religion should be followed in homes and not in institutions like colleges. The educational institution can have its own rules. Incidents of rage can happen at any time and can not be predicted.

I have worked for almost five years in a reputed lab in Panjab, India. Trust me; no one brought any weapons to the lab in the name of religion. When we live in an organization, we need to follow their rule, even in India.

If you are going to another country and a place where your beliefs are foreign ... Try following the rule of the place. Do not expect everything to magically change according to you. \n\nRespecting the rule of the land is not a bad thing and whichever deity or god you follow is not going to punish you based on that.

Rule of land should be followed not religion practices

The problem is that often times due to religious practices, a lot of people from minority communities are targeted and have to undergo a lot of scruitiny. Sikhs are amongst the most kind and generous people in the world, apart from being brave, sure this world makes a joke out of them but it is important for people to understand that our religion is important to us, we do follow the rules and regulations laid down by the country but others too have to respect who we are and where we come from, it might seem odd to carry around a kirpan but then again that is no reason to violate someone like this, or their religion's sancitity.

IIIrd world people from countries with corruption and broken down infrastructure-no roads, streetlighting, limited electricity with load shedding, poor healthcare, filthy unpotable water because they dont pay their taxes..........complaining about services provided to them in a Socialist country because one follows the rules here..........????

Simple. Ban corporations of any kind, local or multinational from owning residential property of any kind. They buy up entire 30,000 unit new developments at once. I am from India living in USA for 13 years now and I disagree with your analysis. We tend to compare and jump to conclusions quickly coming from a warm climate. This video is taken in winter, look at trees they have no leaves. People are inside b'cos its cold. Take a video in summer and you will find kids playing, swimming in pools and more lively atmosphere people walking around. In cold weather kids and people play sports in indoor arenas. The civil society is disciplined and they are following rules and laws to play at demarcated areas like parks and playgrounds. You won't find people playing on streets. My daughter plays gymnastics and you will appreciate that its a community effort to organize it. Without community sports like gymnastics is impossible to exist. Imagine 500 lbs cushions to move and organize so players can play. All parents gather and make it happen. And such teams of parents are there in every little town. This is just 1 sport. American life revolves around sports more than another country. So its a different country and if u compare USA\\Canada to India or Africa the difference is like Heaven and Hell. I will be lying if I said I was not depressed, but the reasons for my depression were not related to location or space I am in. I was feeling lonely and depressed even in India living among 1.3 billion people. So its not a matter of place but the inner space.

I don’t agree with Quebec as a whole being up so high on the list. They have their own tax and medical system , much higher cost. You must have your children in a unilingual French School unless you have substantial proof that they have a solid English background. English speakers for the most part are ostracized in most of Quebec except some areas of Montreal. All government work places speak only French and there are no English rights in Quebec unless you work for the government of Canada and then good luck getting a job in Quebec as they are designated a unilingual French language speaking province for Canadian government jobs and you won’t qualify unless you speak and read and write French. All signage is restricted to French and the province doesn’t follow any international standards. Even the air traffic controllers only speak French which is why most major airlines don’t fly into Quebec as the standard of language for them is English world wide except Quebec. They have different road rules, tax legislation and pension than the rest of Canada. Wouldn’t want to live there myself. I have a sister in Montreal. Don’t know why she stays.

This is unacceptable in islam. This people need to be in jail. A lot of corporate stores have greet rules. If a customer walks within x distance from you, then the rule says you're supposed to greet and ask them if they need assistance. The reason I'm saying this is because some employees follow the rule all the time, some forget. There could be some randomality to how often employees will ask you if you need any help finding anything.
