It’s crazy how most people think that Canada is importing an army of workers !!\nOnly a small percent of the million that come in every year have work visas (in the UK it is 15% and Canada is similar). The large majority are students from developing countries who are looking to immigrate to the first world but don’t have a job, education or any skills. Then it is family reunification and refugees. We are taking in very few highly skilled workers.

Scapegoating? It's simple supply and demand, and nothing can change it. Socialism won't fix it, importing impoverished people won't fix it, legislation won't fix it. You have to attract people with the proper skillsets to make the country and city better. Having a booming population and no room to grow doesn't do that. The California Bay Area and Los Angeles area has already seen the problems this causes, companies and skilled workers are moving to places that they can afford to live and build companies. With more people comes less opportunities, Canada needs to learn from the mistakes of others. Do not take everyone, take those who want a better life but can also give back to the country.

It's because everywhere in Canada is turning into India. Our ways are being bulldozed out of existence by their ways. It's not all bad. It is a very important thing to note that despite Canada being the second largest country in the world by landmass, the vast majority of the population lives 100km from the American border because the vast majority of the land has no infrastructure to have large scale habitation. Outside of the prairies and the st Lawrence valley, there is precious little farmland to sustain people. So we import a huge percentage of our food which can also attribute to rising costs (not the only factor but it doesn’t help). Geographically, this country can’t comfortably hold more than 36 million people. Our population really shouldn’t grow beyond that unless we have infrastructure to house and feed people, which we barely do for the people that live here let alone the folks coming in. No country is responsible for people other than their own citizens. This includes Canada and any other country in the world. No country has the obligation to import people from other countries. If the immigration is beneficial for any country it can take place. Once it's not beneficial any more it should be stopped. Nobody is entitled to a free meal, a free meal can be given because of generosity, not because of any pressure or obligation.

Canada has a serious problem dealing with a large influx of migrants coming from India. I am American who just traveled to Toronto last week and noticed Indians are everywhere, literally everywhere. It makes me wonder why so I looked into some statistics which showed the number of immigrants coming into Canada from India is equivalent to the number of immigrants coming from many other countries combined. Immigration itself is fine but why importing so many people from one particular country India - this is the question Canadian citizens should ask their government

As an immigrant to Canada myself, I have to state the obvious, the problem isn't just about immigration as it is about the total lack of discernment. Canada needs people for low end/tough jobs, but also high end jobs. The problem is importing a bunch of people into a broken system is not going to do anything but cause problems for the most part. No one is against immigration as long as it is sustainable. 62% of doctors in Canada are immigrants, some 40% nurses are immigrants, lawyers, engineers, etc. However low skill jobs attracting people to be imported is just soo dumb. Canadas natural immigration rate is about 350k/yr. At the same time we were facing a housing crisis caused mainly (at the time) by oppressive and inefficient regulatory systems. That was before Trudeau, without explanation, increased immigration to 1.5 Million per year. Canada used to immigrate primary families with a 50:50 male female ratio. Now we primarily import single military aged males resulting in the current near-70:30 male female ratio. This is a massive concern.

Canada was not anti immigration when the people coming were needed, they wanted to contribute, and they understood and assimilated into Canadian culture. Now they come, contributing nothing, straining our health care system, causing a housing crisis, and most importantly, bringing their culture and beliefs, displacing ours. Our veterans that fought for Canada and what being Canadian meant fought for nothing as too many of this current generation has no patriotism and cares nothing about Canadian culture. I've got some even more bad news for you Cash. Our government up here in Canada, has been importing military age couples posing as interior decorators, from China, to the tune of 200,000 a year. This has been going on since 2017 or so. We love immigrants *and* diversity in Canada. All my friends are immigrants or children of immigrants. \n\nHowever, importing exclusively Indians is *not* diversity. It is not diversity when it is all a singular group. I am in canada right now. I live in Oshawa a town of GTA. Find a job is a problem. College life is good but there is a harsh truth of teachers being rude and disrespectful of the students. This country has a lot of scam. Even scammers are using indeed to get your emails and numbers to connect with you. Medical facilities are so irresponsible that the meaning of emergency in this country is 12 hrs waiting period. Not only the drugs are a problem. Bad parenting, Not understanding responsibilities as a tax payer all of these are included. And the most important role is played by the government who doesn’t have any plans to tackle this prblm ?

I would also add that canada is housing casino for foreign investors with money into Canadian real estate to clean their money while making huge profits running arbnb business, room rentals, flipping homes, having multiple home while not even Canadian citizen or barely living in Canada.
