This video is 100% true.. where I live the majority of immigrants are Indian. I have nothing against them seeking better lives but in my opinion they need to do better screening. In my building alone there are 3 units, 2 of which are rented by Indian students. One is 4 bedroom 2 bath and other is 3 bedroom 1 bath there are no joke 16 people in both. I’ve made friends with multiple of them and they had no issue telling me they came here to work and live and barely attended any classes. If this keeps up we are in big trouble.

I'm an immigrant myself but I don't have pleasant experience with people from India all my 10 years living in Canada. I rent a place where the house next door is owned by a middle-aged Indian woman. She rejected to split the cost when my landlord suggested building a fence between our place and hers, because one time her one tenant almost run over my landlord when backing up her car. Recently the Indian lady rent her house to 15 plus other Indian people who litter their garbage all around her house and honk their cars at night, literally making the atmosphere much alike those slum videos of India I've seen in the past on YouTube. \n​I've talked to a few of them about the noise, they promised me it wouldn't happen again but they never kept their promises. I have no clue how to communicate with these people anymore, I might as well look for a new place to live.

I’m a 1st generation immigrant too and I worked too hard to get my permanent residency instead of protesting. It’s hard to go back, situation in not good but they have to understand that going back is not the end of life. In addition, I also suggest you to put some sort of disclaimer in your video to avoid people from hating Indian community. Due to some people and some poor policies too that allowed such people in the country, there is a rising hate for community and your video can trigger it even more although I personally stand for the side that you are showing but there’s a second side of this as well. Canada’s government need to tax rich, tax people who save on taxes with loopholes, and then incentivize having kids, add a better child support payment, increase student grants for people to gain skills that will help them in achieving a better paying job and Canadians feel more ready to give birth to a child.

Some indians are nice people but many of them are not adopting canadian culture. Some of the places for rent you showed in this video are in my neighbourhood. My neighbourhood has been predominantly Indian since I first moved here 20 years ago, the the demographic shift isn't as noticeable other than the fact that its gone from mostly Indian Canadian families who are mostly Canadian citizens to now a lot of young Indian students who just arrived in the past few years. But I can imagine how rapid the demographic transformation might seem to someone who lived in a predominantly non-Indian neighbourhood that's now being flooded with Indians. The thing that confuses me is why India specifically has such a huge increase in immigrants since 2020 while before China and the Philippines had just as many if not more immigrants, but China and the Philippines stagnated while India just continues to skyrocket. Funny enough the people I hear who are most against this mass migration are Indians themselves who were either born here or have been living here a lot longer.

i grew up in Brampton 20 years ago, a child of Caribbean parents. Whenever I go back I can say Yes, Brampton has changed over the years. I also remember that white/Canadian people were always the population struggling with substance abuse- particularly in the downtown area. Conflating the influx of indians with the downturn of white canadians seems to just fuel animosity and scape goat the issue onto a population of people that's probably just trying to seek a better life. why not ask the government to provide better social programs for those in need rather than fueling hate ? Why not investigate the structural issues that have contributed to this situation i.e. politicians gaining votes by doing xyz, or look into what people may be facing in the homelands? That would be a better piece of journalism imo. I think this video is highlighting this issue in ways history has seen before... can't we do better?
