This guy works hard; the manual labour he does isn't easy, and it's done in sub-zero weather (it can get down to -50 with windchill up near Edmonton). He's contributing to our economy and isn't a criminal; he's just trying to provide his family with a better life. For the same reasons my ancestors immigrated to Canada. Most of them didn't learn English for over 2 generations, but eventually we found our way and our culture became part of the broader Canadian culture. I hope the same happens for him and his family.

I am an African-American male. It it not very shocking to me that slavery existed in Canada. However, as a child in school,I was always taught that slaves escaped to Canada. What happened to these former slaves? Unlike the U.S these black Canadians have been able to keep their identity, mainly their name instead of taking the names of their masters.

Facts much? Canada allows anyone to live in Canada for a year on the tax payers dime as long as they submit a refugee claim. The Canadian public is paying upwards of $60,000 CAD for each of these claimants living costs which is more than what many Canadians make in a year. Additionally if these claimants' claims are refused they simply leave for a day, come back and start the process all over again, again getting to live in Canada for a year on the tax payers back. What a great scam.

Why are you comparing the US to Canada when it is apparent you know little about the US or Canada.  You couldn't even explain your healthcare system and didn't know that Canada's military aircraft are in the Royal Canadian Air Force not the Army.

I am czech, we relatively recently (1989) get rid of totalitarian communists here.I just do not get how is it possible that Canada or Muslims in general are so welcoming to the totalitarian systems - where women are forced to cover the faces. Racism in Canada is subtle, at least in Saskatchewan and Alberta. It's alot better compared to the US or UK.

I love Canada...Going hiking in Banf is one of mine and Michael's favorite things to do..Lake Louise and Lake Morraine is off the charts beautiful!!! Such beauty there!!! I also love the US..Hawaii is da place to be!!!

Canada is going the way of Europe (France, Belgium - even England). Religions are all absurd nonsense, but this one is particularly worrisome, advocating violence, the destruction of infidels and installation of shariah law. More political than mystical, really. So sad to throw away this great country built by our hard working, well meaning ancestors.
