Happy to be Canadian! Although I’m living in America.

I live by the Canadian border. It is NOT easy to cross. Trump is lying and just trying to make himself look good even knowing tht Canada is willing to be a partner in combating illegal drugs. He wanted to get his court problems etc off his table. He had to get elected. And ELON helped that. Without Elon the shadow president he wouldn't have. Hell Elon had to pay people to vote for him.

I feel so sorry for Canadians who have lived under such weak leadership! And I thought Joe was bad!

I think it is time to use all the unused land to grow our vegetation and any thing else that gets planted to use for the Canadian. We do have the brain and the finances to grow our own fruit even if it takes a couple of years for the plants to produce the vegetation to supply the need. We need to manufacture our own goods. It is only one simple issue we will face but it is one we can handle! Oil, gas, car parts and cars...do it here and get some of the unemployed individuals Living on Provincial Checks off their butts and put them to work. (any that can at all} It might just surprise people at how many would have a reason to get up in the morning and the self confidence they need to get rid of the very thing Trump said was killing US people and stop it from coming in from the US! If we are going to tell it lets tell the truth!.

Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. This is God's world not yours and not ours. I'm really disappointed to see American people and Canadians hurting because of whatever the point of all of this means. But Canada is strong and we will stand up for our country. The American people are strong and they were strong before you became the President. Working together, we can take care of each other for our families and our country.

I live in US but I support Canadian on this. Even Trump is looking for changes, it shouldn't have been done in this rude and abrupt way.

How about trade between Canadian provinces? First, we should remove interprovincial tariffs. I live in BC so I paid extra tax the Alberta oil much more than American. What a shame, especially liberal under Justin. I think the Conservatives should govern Canada. ?? It is INSANE to me that (from what I hear) people dislike Trudeau enough for him to resign, yet I see him here acting respectfully, intelligently, honorably. I'm somewhat confused though. Canadians have been suffering under high prices for years now and Trudeau never did anything to combat this. Now we want to speak up against the tariffs which is an additional price burden on top of existing outrageous costs. If we solve for tariffs, whats the plan to solve for the ridiculously high living costs.

Tariffs seems to be everything to do with fentanyl and other drugs that is costing American and Canadian lives. Lets stay positive and totally eliminate trafficking this drug that is taking lives of many people.

Trump actually did say the truth to the American people: Canada imports 95% of it's goods from the USA... with us refusing to buy American, with all of us buying Canadian or International products instead... how will he be making America great again ?? Canadian’s can’t live month to month with the Sword of Damocles over our heads. I am glad we didn’t capitulate this month. These tariffs may hurt Canada more than the US but we are clearly far too dependent on the US and will benefit more from the tariffs in the long run (by reducing our dependency).

The irony is USA gets a bargain price on oil from Canada as an allie who always supported USA including supporting USA wars. A close friendship in fact family as many if not most Canadians have relatives that live in the USA. The selling of discounted oil to the USA helps the USA economically and the main reason why the USA buys more from Canada than Canada from USA but then complains they buy too much from Canada. Stop buying the discounted oil then, go buy the oil on the world market at a higher price and problem solved or Canada just raise the price of oil until they buy sufficient amount less that balances the trade. Old saying, be careful what you ask for?

I have trail cameras everywhere that pick up people crossing the border all the time in the United States from Canada. We’ve seen it. It’s everywhere all over the state. And where else will they have strong forests full as far as the eyes can see cause 90% of Maine is for the Woods thick dense force in woods anybody can get through that with a compass in the will.

What's it about? It's about money. It's about a gangster family in the Whitehouse, and oligarchs in the administration, all trying to make as much money as possible. There's no other explanation possible. That's the only explanation that comes close to making any sense. Now more than ever, even if these tariffs are short-lived, Canada needs to move away from U.S. trade. This is necessary for the long term survival and prosperity of Canada. We need to make every effort to increase trade with the pacific rim, Europe and South America. There may be some short-term pain, but it has to happen. Given the events of the last few years in the U.S., Canadians have to realize that things can get even worse, and will likely never be the same. There is very little reason to believe that the ties Canada has had with the U.S. will ever be what they were, or indeed any reason to believe that that is even desirable now.

Living in Michigan , Canadian are our close neighbors and friends. This is a sad day that will hurt both Americans and Canadians. You fought beside us in every world war. Canadians supported us and died for us during the Iraq War. Recently, bringing in planes to help put out the wild fires in California. We love our Canadian neighbors ❤‍?❤

Don't buy Canadian Bacon, Maple Syrup and other Canadian goods.
