Not one so willing to throw money around to those who dont work for it and print more and allow things to fall apart right before their eyes. I'm sad for Canada, this once great nation is in a state I never thought I'd see. I too am ready to move elsewhere. Family is holding me here, for now.

As an African American with Native American heritage. I have never understood why people of color want to move to racist countries of the West. it is a shock to me to see this. but I am also a descendant of a people who were reduced to being live target practice for law enforcement, to be consumers and free entertainment for the world

9+ hour wait times in a small city hospital emergency to see a DR, I pay 44% in deductions on what I earn. Will probably never be able to buy a home, it’s pretty grim what’s going on lately!

Germany is about to experience very high crime rate growth. I can see it breeding and brewing among young people. Whole generation will absorb criminal eyhics vs work ethics. They will never change after that.

Being born in Saskatchewan as well I agree that Canada has suffered immensely in the last decade. I spent the majority of my adult life in Vancouver back when you felt safe everywhere you ventured. Not now, I'm socked at the decline especially the violence and drugs. I've lived in a few other countries over the past 30 years none have surpassed what has happen in Canada. I currently live in the middle east and have never felt safer. The taxation is crazy, the health care system is substandard and getting worse. For those who want to retire, Canada is not very friendly and typically way overpriced. I'm seeing a trend over the last 10 years of people opting for a warmer more friendly climate to spend what should be your years to enjoy life. Something I fear impossible in Canada's current climate!

I left Germany after a year working.\nReason:\n15%- Even though i learnt german, but still faced discrimanation sometimes due to colour. Due to discrimanation outsiders can never go up the ladder. In the USA, You would see many Indians as CEO, but in Germany its impossible.\n25% - Work is too slow. Many people remain on leave/holiday. Not just my office, bank and other gov work are also very slow.\n20% - Too many immigrants. its no more germany. school has almost 80% non german.\n10% - Dependency on trains, and trains are often delayed. Getting driving licence takes lot of time.\n5% - Cold weather\n5% - High taxes (but we get some benefits)\n5% - People are very closed. I wanted to help and talk to neighbour, but they were so cold to interact.\n5% - Away from home, never felt like home.\n5%- Doctor appointment, sply for kids is nightmare. \n5%- Drugs, beer, smokers everywhere. No culture.\n\nOthers find difficulty in finding house, but i got easily.\nNow some positive:\n\n50% - Too much time for yourself. But it goes in bringing grocery and housework.\n20% - Pure air and water... lot of greenery to go around.\n20% - connectivity and tourism to rest of europe.\n5% - Free schools, good open grounds.\n\n\nMy personal reason was spirituality is missing in Germany. I have noticed some comments from unhappy Physicians... leaving Canada. You are paying 150 K if you make 1MLN a year. Corp taxes are 15 %. I speak German language fluently but I chose Canada. Since 2009 I have been living in Canada permanent. I'm from Texas. As a young fool I married a Canadian woman in 79. I'm a military man, army strong. So, many deployments all over the world. Oh, wife was also military, Canadian military. Our time together was limited. She left the military in 1990, got sick with cancer in 93, died in 93. I moved to Canada then, to be with the kids. Kids grew up, and I moved away. I recently returned to Canada after roughly 30 years away. I'm also leaving. I can't stand this place. And I've learned that the insanity in Canada is worldwide. I don't recognize the UK, Italy, Poland, Germany. Everything has changed. Right now I'm in Texas panhandle, on the ranch my father and his father ran. Thousands of acres, horses and cattle and dogs. I almost never see the neighbors. I love it.

Every place in the world is seeing a rise of costs for everything. I wouldn't trade my life in Canada for any other place. Everything I like in life is here.I am 72 now. I never have a problem seeing a doctor. I call up and sometime get an appointment the next day. I had a cardiac arrest, was brought back to life and had triple bypass surgery several days later and it cost me about $15 for an ambulance ride from one hospital to another, where the surgery was done. I don't wish to move anywhere where all the sports I can watch or play is soccer or cricket. Weather does not bother me.

Sad to see another fine Canadian packing up and leaving the country, never thought I`d ever see anyone wanting to leave Canada, heartbreaking, have you heard about the tax they want Canadians to pay just to leave the country if you`re moving elsewhere? I heard it was $25,000!

Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Born and raised in Canada but left in 1999. I have only been back 3 times and although I retired in 2015, I have decided to not move back, maybe never. I am absolutely heart broken about it because I love the country I grew up in. Been traveling full time ( no home base ) since retirement and we keep looking for a place to call home. We are ending a 2+ year stay in South America and are now headed to Japan, just for the heck of it, change of scenery. We are not too keen on hot and humid but we still want to visit SEA. Justin Trudeau and the liberals have destroyed this Country. I was born and raised in Canada in a town in Ontario along one of the Great Lakes Lake Erie. My parents and even their parents were born and raised in that same area I am from and Canada was a great place but since Justin Trudeau become PM everything started to change and not in a slow unnoticeable way it was fast. Drugs and homelessness started to become a thing something I have never seen in my life and even my neighbourhood and town started to change too with people that don't speak english and wait times in the ER started to be so much longer and even finding a doctor when I moved to the city was impossible to get. I have not traveled much only in a car or truck and never been on a airplane but I am considering moving out of Canada too. I am going to wait and see what happens in the election and see if things begin to charge before I leave the only place I know and start new somewhere else. I have been thinking of Southeast Asia like Laos or Thailand because there Canadian funds are worth something and you can live and at for very cheap and get a very nice place for half or less of what rent is here.

China is the much safer then any country. I never see one homeless people in China or shoplifting on the street.

Left Trinidad migrated to the UK then I migrated to USA...never been happier. UK was too bloody expensive to live even tho I am now a UK/US citizen...before the Ukraine War I was planning to see what Ukraine has to offer or Romania

I worked with a Pharmacist who Escaped Canada almost 20 years ago, now he wanted out for Tax Purposes , he definitely was not a Typical Canadian and he probably didn't see this Coming, he just wanted to keep a Much higher Percentage of his Check and knew from his Parents that would never happen in Canada

It's sad to see you being pushed out of Canada. Unfortunately this is happening to a lot of people but what we're witnessing, especially over this last 10 odd years is the symptom of the underlying problem we have. It's happening in Europe, the UK and the US as well. We are losing our young people which IS the future of this country but unfortunately when they see no future here it's normal to start looking elsewhere. Wherever you have decided to move to I hope it works out beautifully for you. While you are away, maybe, just maybe we can make Canada an attractive place to lure you home again. Either way I'll follow your travels as I'll never get to see the places you travel to.

Hi Alina, well done on your decision. This is not an easy thing to do. As well as Canada, i have lived in the uk and Greece. I don't want to make things harder for you but i want to warn you that the grass is never greener on the other side. I am very disappointed with Canada to be honest. My wife and i are moving from Alberta to New Brunswick next week in search of a quieter, calmer, cheaper life. Let's see what happens. I completely agree with all of your points. I could easily get political but i won't. Suffice to say, keep doing what you love. Screw the system that is forced on us. We work for no return. Work doesn't pay anymore. Focus on what fills you up no matter where!

Germany created their own problem in their flawed, points-based model of their government pension system. It is like we are paying backwards, where our money earned right now is taken away from us to pay for the pensions of retired people who earned those rights to a government pension years or decades ago during their working lives. We are then given points, with the hope that the next generations one day pay for our own pensions. See the problem?\n\nInstead, people’s hard earned monthly payments towards pension could have instead have been invested for them into actively-managed portfolios of bonds, equities and commodities. Thereby, each and every person currently on pension could have enjoyed the benefits of decades of compounding growth!\n\nNow we are here, as the video says, 2 workers are needed to cover the pension of 1 retired person. This is absolutely absurd and they will never be able to attract 400,000 new skilled workers every year with the current issues highlighted in this video.\n\nMy best advice - when you are working in Germany, seriously think about it to save and invest a portion of your net income and prepare yourself for a future where you cannot solely rely on your German pension!

Germany has a disconnect between the administration's understanding for the need at hand the people's sense of territory. The language disqualifies it as worth the hustle. Then there is the squeezed access to assimilating the language and culture. The longer you live here, the greater your desire to depart. The housing situation is daunting and I do not see why they dont make that a strong point for making germany a choice. Skilled labour is leaving because it never gets any easier when one has to always be reminded on their being foreign.

It's the Gov't, the weak, non-enforcing Gov't of Canada. I reflect back to highschool, we had teachers we knew we could push..... goof off and talk back to and then there were teachers, everyone knew, don't mess with, that had a zero tolerance policy. Liz seems to exemplify the following, which I learned in a first year macroeconomics course… The first rule of economics is understanding limited resources (supply and demand curves along with production advantages); wether you are a private entity, a non-governmental organization, or a formal government, this rule is unquestionable… Moving on… The first rule of politics, particularly with the progressive left (and I say this as a classical liberal) is to ignore the first rule of economics… No matter how sophisticated technology becomes, a centralized government will never be as efficient as the invisible hand.. Likewise, progressives these days (which apparently includes most liberals from what I see), never think about how open borders impacts housing demand, which impacts the market price for housing.. Yet, they somehow think the government can fix all of this (simultaneously ignoring that the government must become authoritarian to actually do so; all while demanding democracy - reminding me that democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding on what is for dinner)… Anyways, maybe my initial conclusion is premature, just sharing my thoughts!

I am from Pakistan and all my friends and relatives moved to UK, US, Australia and Canada. When I say all I mean 18 out of 20 left Pakistan and they don't want to come back to Pakistan ever because who doesn't want a better lifestyle for themselves and for their future generations but my father advised me never to leave your country because no matter what other countries will never accept you as their own citizens. If Canadians are unhappy about immigration, that literally means it’s an indisputable scientific fact that there are immense issues with our system. The dark and disgusting side of this that doesn’t get talked about is how many newcomers leave shortly after spending everything they have to boost our GDP before they realize they’ll never get the opportunity or life they were promised here. I don’t think it’s just Canadians that see immense issues with our immigration system.\n\nImmigration also implies diversity. Not just flooding the country with millions of people from one section of the world.\n\nWe are indeed in a catch 22 though, because with the lack of replacement birth rate we’ve had, we can’t simply haunt immigration. But the asinine quota needs to go down. This all boils down to basic math and basic economics. There are no excuses for how badly this has been botched.

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

Its quite simple. Immigrants are easy to blame. I see it all the time, immigrants getting in trouble for things that citizens never get in trouble for.

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. Whenever we see these stories reported in the media. The folks affected are always small-market landlords. We NEVER hear about what the larger property management companies are going through or how THEY handle these issues.. Why is that?

I've never been conservative or anti-immigration, but the situation is getting out of control. Canada has always been a country of immigrants, but in my country, Poland, that hasn't traditionally been the case. In recent years, the demographic landscape has changed significantly, and it's not just about our Ukrainian neighbors—over a million have arrived since the war. We're also seeing an influx of people from developing countries, many of whom come under false pretenses, enroll in private universities, or attempt to cross our borders illegally to reach Germany. Right now, we're at a loss, and the most frustrating part is that while we need skilled immigrants, we're instead getting unskilled individuals who don't even make an effort to learn the language. This isn't sustainable.

We know for a fact that a lot of immigrants, legal and illegal, either cram themselves 5 into a single room or end up homeless. Many small towns of 10,000 pop or less who never saw homeless people are seeing tents popping up, rising drug use, theft, etc.

I am a permanent resident of Canada and born in the US. I live right outside of Montreal. I actually went to Plattsburgh, NY three times in past two months and each time while on my way back from Plattsburgh, I would encounter several migrants at the bus stop shown on the video. In one of my encounters I saw a group of them wearing ankle monitors. I would see vans standing at the gas station picking up and dropping off migrants. These drivers are helping the problem just to make money. I just heard on the news that greyhound changed the bus stop in Plattsburgh a couple of weeks ago and I wonder if it's because of the illegal migrants. I have been going to Plattsburgh by bus for many years and I've never seen migrants inundate the area as I have in the past year. I knew about Mexicans flying over to Canada so they can walk across the boarder into the US but I didn't know it was this bad. I don't see this problem going away unless Canada works with the US to solve it. It's getting scary out there because there are criminals who has committed serious crimes in their home country and come here on a clean slate to continue their criminal activity. When does this torture end?

Canada likes selling dreams. I am in Alberta, trying to move to PEI and I'm french, unfortunately when you search, you find out that they don't have lots of jobs. They have designated compagies for the Atlantic pathway, but when you look at them one by one you don't see jobs. They talk about massive recruitment while those who are there can't find jobs and other immigrants are protesting for temporary work permit extensions. Good luck! We never know.

They get better shelter than the homeless that were born here. Though Americans tax payers are not at fault, billions get squandered and the homeless never see a dime of it unless its for a needle exchange or some narcan.
