12 year wait for a doctor, three months for a blood test cannot walk into a clinic since covid, have to book online, but can't book online without a doctor, check every day for an appt space- none avail. Literally NO access to medical care and in the ER after seven hours wait they misdiagnose you and fail. Surgery wait is years, and they wont give you a day or time for an appointment, they say they will call you months later to book a time and then never do. There is no longer health care in Canada. Then there is the cost of housing. Then there is Trudeau making news reporting and websites he doesnt like illegal and pushing through laws to let the govt jail you for speech they dont like using anonymous accusers.

Unfettered migration into Canada is a policy of the Trudeau regime. They don't care if they study or settle here. They just want numbers. Never mind the impact on both Healthcare and housing, after all, it will balance itself, right?

Almost a million foreign students allowed in country of 34 M people ! Mind boggling to say the least. Why is this problem happening ? Obviously, the minister Trudeau installed to run this, is incompetent, of low ID, or doesn’t care. Don’t blame the schools. Those who run these schools are like us, human beings, being thirsty for “money” is nothing out of the ordinary ! Getting $10K/yr. for a domestic student + subsidy fr. government of say another $10K, is about a third of a foreign student has to pay. Do the math ! Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. We are US Americans. When our child decided to attend the University of Toronto, out-of-country, 15-some years ago, we researched so much, including the university’s international student pulse. We were horrified to learn the lion’s share of UofT’s international students body intended to use UofT not for a high-caliber education but as a fast-path gateway into the US upon graduation, if not before. International student forum members were quite clear and unapologetic their intentions. In the years since, the US has learned most of these immigrants can’t compete once here and do poorly. The reason is part expectation and part inflated self-assessment — 1. Our urban and suburban housing is just as expensive as Toronto and Vancouver, 2. We don’t have free health care except for the destitute. Even then, it’s minimal, 3. Our ivies and other great universities already supply our best employers, 4. Our academic standards are more rigorous, in most cases, to Canada’s, 5. Our winters are just as cold and snowy, 6. Our summers are so hot, your car and anything in it will melt, and 7. We generally don’t have public transportation except piecemeal in our cities. Further, most of us don’t want Trudeau’s increasingly fascist politics to take hold here, any more than they have already, under Biden.

Don't' come to Canada unless you want to live under a bridge, no housing, high taxes, very cold winters. Justin Trudeau just looking for your vote, he doesn't care about Canadians or immigrants.

If you can't find a Dr. Good luck. Most doctors leave to the US or other to make more $ to pay off huge university loans. See how that works. well Canada is a soft immigration target that gives illegal/legal migrants everything away for free for as long as it takes...years. meanwhile Canadians are homeless.. Case in point, here in Kingston, the HoJo motel was purchased by the feds and houses migrants with security (3 persons per shift} 24/7/365, a fully functioning kitchen, housekeeping, tradesmen to repairs caused by the migrants, free food, clothing, bus passes, supports for healthcare, child care. I live across the street. Canadians first. Now Canada is migrating terrorist sympathizers from Palestine. This country has deteriorated rapidly under Trudeau.

This is a very thoughtful and balanced review. As a retired Canadian who had a good job for most of my life, I'm saddened by the decline in almost all areas of life, lifestyle and and people's aspirations in this country. This decline actually seems quite rapid, I would say from 2015 onwards. Housing in major centres was expensive, but it has skyrocketed in the past decade. There has been a decline in many institutions: 1. health-care, especially noticeable since the pandemic that coincided with many boomer medical staff retiring, but also by our sclerotic institutions refusing to enable foreign-trained doctors to work here. Many foreign-trained doctors in the Vancouver area are doing jobs way below their qualifications while many people cannot even get a family doctor. Crazy. Econonically, there seems to have been no plan at all from the government as we exited the pandemic. At least the US had a plan, to 'build back better'. Our government just floats along as if everything is fine, when the decline is very visible especially to older Canadians. We have admitted 1/2 a million people a year from overseas, so our economy should reflect this and show an upswing. But no, we're in a 'technical recession' as of December and probably a real recession as of last week. I have never voted Conservative in my life, but Trudeau is a flaky dimwit with a famous name who has no clue what he is doing. A fool, in fact. He's mismanaged our foreign relations beyond belief, and nothing has improved domestically. When Pierre Poilievre says 'Canada is broken', I believe it. In all honestly i'm Canadian and you have to be filthy rich to live here, our health care is shit and there is more homeless than anything even in the smaller cities, Everything is 2X more expensive here and the taxes is up through the roof because of fucking trudeau. THERE ARE favored immigrants though, Ukrainians are not hurting living here. actually they are taking Canadians jobs, even in service positions, but for a lot of students that is how they live. but when employers are offered incentives to hire an immigrant, Ukrainian for example, they may be getting subsidized wages. Febs really seem to take care of the non brown or minority immigrants. just an observation that seems to be happening more and more. it is sad for the Ukrainians because i think they don't know the silver spoon from Trudeau is handed to them. they probBLY think all immigrants have a red carpet but no not at all. not for the brown immigrants, they have to struggle like all our immigrants over past decades before Trudeau, all immigrants worked their way up here. i have just heard from young people who have suddenly been cut hours at work to make way for a ukrainian with no experience on the job to take the Canadians job

As a Canadian i have to say: it's cold most of the year,, expensive, health care is an illusion, Dr's are business men, justin Trudeau is awful, crime is top 10 in the world, poverty, became socialist and communists nest, criminals heaven, only good side is 4 months of the year we have beautiful nature to look at.

It boils down to the Liberal Party, which has been in power since 2015, e.g.:\n- high immigration targets and housing/jobs/healthcare/etc can't keep up.\n- decriminalization/destigmatization of drugs (especially in Vancouver)\n- political correctness, censorship, gender ideology, health mandates, soft on some crimes but harsh on thought crimes, etc.\n\nAs for other things like weather and challenges in finding a job, these were always the case but Canada really started to go down when Trudeau became PM.\n\nI migrated with my family as a teen. Parents (engineer and nurse) couldn't find a job in their field. Mom had to start as a care aide while she re-certify as a registered nurse even though she has a masters and taught nursing in a college in the Philippines. Dad had to settle as an appliance technician.\n\nThe 4 of us lived in a single-bedroom basement suite, but we bought a half-duplex in Vancouver in a couple of years, which would be practically impossible these days.\n\nI make a decent amount niw and own 3 properties, but if I have to buy my house at its current market value ($1.9m), I can't afford it. Even that half-duplex, my parents sold it at 6x during a down market years ago.\n\nThen there's crime and drugs: I've worked in the downtown east side of Vancouver since 2006 and the last couple or so years has been really bad - it's like a zombie apocalypse. Glad I work remote and have moved to a suburb around Vancouver. That said, I'm highly considering moving but it's hard with kids and aging parents.

I would not tell anyone to go to Canada until Trudeau is gone and Pierre has had 5-6 years to fix it. Even then it'll still be very expensive, cold and bad health care. Honestly have no idea why anyone would move there in this era. It made sense 100 years ago, not now.

HONG KONG SCHEME and decades of open door to mass immigration mostly from Hong Kong and Mainland China (with now all coutries in the Asian continents) and paying above market value with easy immigration and bringing elderly family created this mess in 1990!! Now immigration is easier with no visa required for other countries. Long term care homes are also overwhelmed as people are bringing their non english speaking relatives and causing a burden on this social system, thus MAID has been no other option for many people. We were already in a housing crisis before Trudeau brought over those 80,000 refugees/immigrants, then we had all those who jumped our border from the US because Trudeau invited them to come to Canada. All that on top of our usual amount of immigrants that come in every year.\nIn the end we should have a MAXIMUM cap on the total # of refugees/immigrants that can enter the country per year no matter how/why they want to enter, and we should require all of them to have skills/trades/etc that we actually need. Why should we be bringing in people who can't/won't work? I know that the UK brought in refugees over 50 years ago that the majority of are STILL on welfare and the majority of their kids are on welfare too.\n\nI think Trudeau has spent more on refugees/immigrants then he has spent on our own homeless people, veterans and mental health care combined.

Immigration is great. Legal immigration. But even then you have to have the resources and if you don’t you will cause undo stress on all of society. Keep voting for Trudeau and Sing. They will for sure keep immigration up high. Those tent cities should all be moved to liberal and NDP properties. Their personal property so they can take care of the people this winter. They should be forced to take in immigrants at the homes to give them shelter food and conveniences at their expense instead of ours.

I fled a mentally abusive relationship that I was in for 12 yrs and this loser I was with could care less if I have any place to live, food to eat, other basic necessities. He is a narcissistic man and blamed me for all the problems he caused. I have to use the food bank every month because I work minimum wage and can’t afford groceries. I live in the Edmonton ab area and apparently the alberta income support will only help you if you make less than $1600 a month or if you are going to be evicted from a place your renting. It's hard for Canadians to grasp but in the current era Canada is a failing state. All of its sources of wealth and income have been throttled by political interference. Pipelines. Mining. Logging. Even breathing, as carbon dioxide is fraudulently slagged as a 'pollutant'. Canada's enemies have done very well. Canadians have not fared well in catching on to the fact that they've been attacked. So, those who can, leave. During the covid fraud when it was 'mandated' (A euphemism for ORDERED) to take the injection, 8,500 health care workers were laid off, most of whom were recruited by Texas and Florida. Our loss; their gain. Yet another 'chip in the wall'. In our business we've even had immigrants from Russia tell us they're going back. Most Canadians don't realize the state their country has fallen to under the Trudeau's wrecking ball.
