I loved the speech of PM Trudeau- but one thing he kept saying is wrong. Our government did not do this - One man did this via executive orders. He does not care who he hurts. He does not care about the American people. Trump only cares about himself and his relationship with Mother Russia and Putin. TRUMP doesn't want peace. He is thriving on the chaos that he and Musk are initiating. Trump needs to be impeached immediately but our Congresmaen and women, who are supposed to represent their populations are too scared to do anything other than what Trump tells them to do. Our Government is supported to have a Check and Balance function, but none of the branches have the guts to stand up to TRump. I really believe that Trump's American first policy is to end up as America ALONE.

As an American, I don’t understand it either. Trump is not my president! I stand with Canada! I don’t recognize my government anymore!

As an American, we don't want Trump and his minions in our government! What he is doing, is against everything we believe and stand for!

I'm American, I'm cheering for Canada. Our government has broken its word to yours. I do not believe that Trump's actions represent the wishes of most Americans but many of them DID vote for him (and the utterly spineless Congressional Republicanswho enable him) and all of us are going to pay the price, quite literally.

As an American and a Trump supporter, I agree with these tariffs, but only equal to the tariffs other countries charge the United States on our imports. I do not agree with imposing this on our brothers and sisters to the north. I’m speaking of the good people of Canada. I have traveled to Canada and crossing the border was just like crossing into another state. Yes, there was a border gate which there should be, but I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I hope our government can work this out very quickly and stop this foolishness. But to countries like China and Europe the United States should charge a reciprocal tariff as to what you charge us on our import. It’s only fair. Why are we paying an exuberant tariff for our goods entering your country and you expect to pay nothing with your goods entering ours. Most Americans, love Canada and love our Canadian brothers and sisters, we’ve always supported each other in world, wars, and other attacks against our respective countries. I pray this is resolved quickly, and then we can once again live United and in harmony.

The American government agencies and institutions have been weakened, as well as their healthcare and educational systems. Their relationships with allies and friends, North and South, have been strained, global allies have grown skeptical of the United States, and everywhere the US has given away its soft power, a vacuum was created that will now be filled with China or Russian influence. Every enemy of the US longed for this moment, and Donald Trump and JD Vance handed them this unnecessary win. America is past the point of no return; No one will come to help and rescue their most vulnerable. From this moment on, turning this around depends on every American in opposition to tyranny, abuse, and dictatorial leadership.

Our current government is deplorable and I want no part of it. This man is not my president. Is destroying my country. I am a disabled American veteran and I did not spend eight years in the military for this. I want to come and live in Canada. This is not right that is not normal it's not legal moral or ethical. This situation is unbelievable. Russia has been threatening to devastate Germany, and meanwhile, we find ourselves in conflict with Canada, a country that has always been a great friend and neighbor. Putin is simply waiting for the U.S. to withdraw from NATO, and he won’t hesitate to act once that happens. China will likely invade Taiwan amidst all this turmoil. Our entire government, regardless of political party, has failed the American people. Stocks are plummeting this morning, and energy costs are rising. How does any of this benefit anyone?

If the Canadian government wants to compete commercially with the US government, it doesn't have to threaten the American people that it will increase inflation in America. What Canada has to do is comply with what the US government has told it. The US has told Canada to stop drug trafficking from Canada to the US. That's all. But they haven't done it. Canada won't gain anything by threatening the US.

Canada is already owned by USA. All our major businesses are American owned. We even sold our Fighters Jets, oil, lumber and natural resources for pennies. The Canadian people need tax cuts. Build products that other countries want at a price that makes sense. The EU has no laws that prevent American car manufacturers from selling their cars in Europe. American car companies make shitty cars. They make cars that are too big, that don't make sense for European where streets can be very small and gas is very expensive. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. US agricultural products are laced with poisonous chemicals that are outlawed in the EU because they kill people. Our governmeent doesn't give a shit about that because to grow healthy food means you have to cut profits, almighty dollars, instead of grow things that the rest of the world will accept.
