Because people are still sold to the Canadian dream they immigrate but they don't know how hard it is to live here. I am native here and french canadian, so I won't leave my birthplace unless for France (I have the nationality) because I feel home with other quebecers like me. We don't feel really Canadian, but Québécois! And our people are talkative and friendly. I love the people here in Qc. Even if it`s a poor country now, I feel a lot of countries are going throught the same situation of mass immigration and low income. I bet there are nicer places than Canada, but not with our culture. I also love the first nations here.

Immigrants are so massive, that is scary mostly in big cities, we don't have this problem in the countryside. It is so rare to see new comers that had choose to work and live into 40 000 population city like mine. Towns, countryside are options, the living cost of rent is lower, house cost less and driving 30minutes to 1 hour on the road to go work is what most does Canadian.

Do you think it’s some kind of malicious effort to come here against the law, or are they coming here out of desperation? Many of these people come from places like Haiti, Colombia, or Guatemala. Places that the CIA and American tax dollars destroyed. Seems to me that the definition of the problem is not clear. What is the problem that we are trying to solve? Clearly, if there are 11 million persons here illegally then there is an immigration problem. What can be done to prevent the number of illegal immigrants to grow? Deportations or mass deportations deals with those individuals that are actually here but does not address the root cause of the problem. The has to be some deportations... but those already exist and already take place. Seems to me that mass deportations is like going on a crash diet for a short time without really changing fundamental habits. The result is weight comes off in the short term but generally returns. So... what is the solution to solving the immigration system deficiencies that has led to the current situation?

Now that she was able to become a citizen, rather than helping her family members to get their legal status, which can be difficult, tedious and very expensive, she could care less if the lives they have already spent decades on building here are completely destroyed. I have seen some people spend not only years waiting on a hearing or a determination, but spend thousands they scrape together on lawyers and obtaining records, while others submit minimal evidence and get a determination in weeks. If they get deported, that is going into immigration records and when that gets pulled up when they apply to come back it will likely cause any legally efforts to return to be rejected. And who knows how long that will stay in their system? Could be years, could be permanent. Biden’s idea to help those undocumented who are married to citizens to be able to apply and get a temporary visa to stay here while they wait so that families wouldn’t have to be broken up by having the applicant return to their country of origin. That was not just a great idea from a humanitarian point, but they could apply for a job that wasn’t going to take advantage of them by paying below minimum wage, with no rights if they are injured. That could help bring local wages up. They would start contributing back by paying their fair share of taxes, and do on. Republicans in red states stopped it though and are suing the Biden administration for trying to do what? As a Canadian citizen I agree with you on a lot of things and the same thing applies to an extend to Canadian. As a Canadian I see my churches getting burned, I have been spit in my face by Muslim people either because I am not covered, but I’m Canadian why should I, right? what was not mentioned in this short video that should have been is proof that immigration is not causing the housing crisis. That is that the housing crisis now extends to small towns and rural areas. It's almost as expensive to rent in those areas these days. I know this because I have been seeking to move out of Montreal to a smaller town for the past 3 years and cannot find anything in my price range (been looking at rural Quebec and Ontario). \n\nHere's the thing, immigrants come to major urban centers like Toronto and Vancouver and to a lesser degree, Montreal. They do not go to rural areas or small towns at least, not in the first few years they're here. Given that, why does the housing crisis extend to small town and rural areas if migrants are not coming to those places?

This is my first time watching your content. It saddens me that you've come to feel as you do. I'm 72 YO and had the good fortune to be born among people who had survived a world war. They knew bullshit when they heard it. I served in the Canadian Army 1968-74. Like you, I've been a lot of places, and seen a lot of things. I do casual work at McMaster and interact with a lot of people. It feels like somebody else's country. Everyone seems so ignorant of our history. Worse, my Jewish friends no longer feel safe here. The Canada that I served so proudly as a soldier no longer exists. We could liquidate and leave, but these colours don't run.

Customer Service/Expectations is a big problem. A lot of places in the world retail and front line workers are treated like slaves or second class. I can’t tell you how often in recent years people are straight up abusive towards workers. Haggling isn’t a thing here, and while workers are paid to help you. They aren’t a personal attendant. It’s worse when it’s an immigrant employee and an immigrant customer who expects the same treatment here as they did back home.

My great grandfather moved to Toronto in 1890. He was a stone carver and did the stone work on the old bank buildings downtown. My grandfather was a clerk for the railway. My Dad was born in 1933 and grew up at Pape and Danforth. At the time, it was the edge of the city. As a kid, my Dad walked a few blocks to the local farms, bought produce, and sold it to his neighbors. I was born in Toronto in 1970 and lived there until 1998. I live in BC now. There isn't much you can do when you have fallen into one of the many sloughs that hide beneath the snow and ice during winter, waiting to make you a popsicle. And if you get out of that, you still have to somehow get warm again. But let's say you avoid that, what then? Well, we have these really cold biting winds that make the -30 temps feel like -40 or worse. But you came prepared, so let's say you can handle that for a bit. Well, you sweat. You will get damp, then wet, over time. Then your fancy clothing doesn't do much for you anymore. Ya dig?\n\nOh but wait, there's more. So we have this wildlife eh', and it likes to do this thing that wild life does... and it eats you. Coyotes are one such kind of wildlife. Bears are another. Both are prolific in certain areas, all the way down to the border in some cases. \n\nGranted, coyotes usually aren't a huge problem for us up here, but that's cause we know how to deal with them usually. Bears are another issue, that even we have problems with at times. You'll probably run into a black bear if you run into one. Grizzlies tend to be further north and to the west. You're gone too far somehow if you find Polar bears. \n\nThere are other critters to mention, but they're more active in the summer, like rattle snakes. Now you have to somehow find a place to live. This is of course assuming you decided to try to bypass all our border security of course. You could go to an embassy and declare asylum I guess.
