Those who voted for Trump did so because they are legal immigrants/citizens, aka, Americans. I'm pretty sure that the govt have done an immigration freeze before. Many applications were just halted and nothing happened for several months. This was a decade or so ago.\nBut yes if Stephen Harper was stupid enough to increase the immigration numbers then we know who to blame - the Conservatives!! \nSO DO NOT VOTE for the Conservatives. Justin Trudeau is in a difficult position. The Opposition Leader, Pierre Poilievre, refuses to be cleared for security level intelligence briefings. So, while the Conservatives try to unseat Trudeau through a no confidence vote, Poilievre does not address the subject of extra-National murders. Canada has a huge ex-pat Indian population. The idea that Indian nationals are circulating through the land with the knowledge and support of their diplomats is horrifying.??

The same is happening in Germany. The worst is, that there is no one to talk about it. We had an amazing social system, which wasn't perfect, but surely working. Due to overregulation things are getting worse & worse. You clearly outline a number of issues wherein market concentration, corporate influence on government policy, and price gouging have made life harder and more expensive for most Canadians, yet many Canadians think a conservative government will somehow make things better. Those folks clearly don’t understand what the goals of political conservatism are.

I once saw in “The Why Matters”, a conservative think tank, that the reason other Arab nations wouldn’t take Palestinian refugees because they were essentially all terrorists. That was one of the most heartless, hyperbolic, and insane characterizations I have ever seen of them. Of course they won’t take refugees because they are trying to prevent them from becoming refugees in the first place!

It’s exactly the same in Australia, and has been getting progressively worse under both left and right leaning governments. The conservative government was a disaster for housing/cost of living and the liberals haven’t been much better. The vast majority of elected legislators here are relatively wealthy landlords with substantial investment property portfolios. It’s not in their interests to fix the housing crisis. They also vote themselves huge salaries and regular pay rises. They are relatively immune to the cost of living crisis. Australian food banks and similar charities are overwhelmed. We have two main supermarket chains, Coles & Woolworths. They both perpetuate rampant price gouging with abandon. Big corporations, especially international ones, pay very little to no tax. This is happening all over the world under governments of every stripe.

I hope no one is dumb enough to think this is simply Liberal or Conservative or even NDP issue...they've all failed Canada, and all have been doing nothing but helping those who utilize housing as pure investment and nothing more. Apply this to any of the sectors discussed in the video; banking, telecom, housing, etc.\n\nEVERY, and I mean EVERY government over the last 30+ years has been looking out for those with capital at the expense of everyone else. Everyone is saying it's not their jurisdiction to build houses, but we all know someone has to do it. Selling houses that look like birdhouses for a million dollars and renting them out for 90% of people's income is unsustainable. The Canada we knew is different now. Provincial conservative governments and city mayors are playing politics with people's lives. The federal government should take a more aggressive approach.\n\nAdditionally, houses are being treated like stock market assets, with bidding wars and corporations holding onto properties instead of people living in them. New apartment developments are sitting empty in cities across Canada, being used as assets to trade. Homes should be for living in, not trading. The government needs to look into this issue more closely.

Unfortunately, you get the terrible kind of Indians migrating to Western countries as cultural immigrants. Earlier during the British era, it was only high-quality immigrants from Bengal and Tamilnadu who won Oscars, and Nobel Prizes, and invented multiple medical treatments, took yoga to the west. After Indian independence people from the culturally worst states of India migrated to the West. Those states are already famous in India for being religiously bigot, conservative, being abusive to women. These people never go to the West to enrich themselves but go only to earn money. Now western people can't differentiate them from the rest of the Indians. Although many are trying ....Australian universities banned students from specific Indian states, and UK universities restrict them. Other genuine Indians are taking the hit for those bastards.
