If it did not take 10 years to get green card, half of India would be in the US right now, LOL. Even with such restrictive and lengthy process I still see parents and students spend years and do everything to immigrate to US.

This is something that could really help my industry if that 65,000 was raised. Everybody knows aviation is a tight industry, and with a massive labor shortage. The flight school I attend is half immigrants, mostly Japanese and Korean with a moderate minority of Europeans and Africans. The Asian students are for the most part wanting to stay in the US, despite not coming from poor nations. The opportunity for a pilot here is leagues above anywhere else bar Europe, but most will likely not even be able to maintain a work visa, let alone a green card. This also means (as pointed out) that leaving the country is hard, and they would only be allowed to fly domestic flights within the country (no flying to Canada). The issues that these highly qualified pilots could solve by being allowed to work in the US airline industry are inconceivable.\n\nIt took my mum (I was born British-American) took 9 years to become a US citizen, I was there for her first swearing in, and the UK is America’s closest ally. Imagine how difficult it is for immigrants not of such nationality.

to help you put the school shooting fear into perspective. In Quebec we basically had three. The dawson college shooting in 2006, which caused 1 death. The concordia University shooting in 1992 (where a staff member killed other staff members, and not students) And the polytechnique shooting that caused 14 deaths in 1996. They are basically once in a generation events and so rare and shocking to us that they are still being commemorated yearly on the news.

I'm a Chinese Born Canadian trying for a green card and this hits close to home. \n\nI have a coworker grew up in the Midwest, who doesn't know how to read or write Chinese but faced the risk of being deported back to China because his father never managed to get a green card. Many, many Canadian DOCTORS move to the USA. They scoop up their taxpayer-subsidized, cheap medical degree here in Canada. Then, because they know how overworked doctors are here in Canada, they move to the USA for HIGHER income, LOWER taxes and they never, ever have to pay Canadian taxpayers back for what we gave them -- their affordable medical degree. Lawyers don't usually move to the USA because their legal knowledge is too specific to Canada and doesn't transfer as well as medical knowledge does. Americans die because they aren't medically covered. Canadians die WAITING for healthcare. We wonder why our healthcare system isn't delivering. It's because 1) our medical schools accept too many foreign students who never intend to practice medicine here in Canada, because their inflated international tuition fees bolster the economics of the schools of medicine, and 2) because few Canadians who study in Canadian schools of medicine intend to stay in Canada to practice. Here's a reason to revamp how we subsidize medical degrees. 1) We subsidize doctors with a contract saying they agree to practice in Canada for __ years, or 2) if they move to the USA, they owe us the actual cost of their education.

The US. have always TOLD the world that they are the greatest country on the planet (lmao) . The problem with Canada's economy is simple. The problem even has a name, which is Justin Trudeau. December 6, 1987, Marc Lepine got in our engineer university and killed 14 female students just because they were women. Terrible event for French canadiens but also all across the country. The second highest count was in Mexico for 8, then South Africa for 6, Nigeria and Pakistan had 4, Afghanistan had 3, Brazil Canada and France had 2, and 9 other countries had 1. The rest had 0. Lived in us for 10 years and also Canada for 7. I can 100% say that life in Canada is a whole lot better then USA. Although pay is more in USA, it’s quickly eaten up by all the expenses and trust me when I say you will spend a ton. Your entire city you live in will most likely try to eat away as much of your wallet as you can. People and going outside is just better in Canada. Usa really really sucks apart from pay, especially for kids unless you live in an expensive city. People are Riddled with hate and it’s not safe for kids to play outside because something is def out to get them. Usually it’s a car or a criminal. One thing I’ve noticed is kids in USA end up doing drugs a whole lot more, because there’s not much for the kids to do. Kids can’t spend much and can’t travel far or at all, so they resort to drugs. With my hs done in highschool, a huge majority of the schools were doing one or another sort of drug. Also I’m back in Canada because life as a student is just a whole lot better then the snaky system of USA. Both suck in their own ways though, Canada a whole lot less, plan to move out to an eastern country anywya tjough.

At least our banks in Australia don’t go broke like in US . Since the Covid lock downs a lot of people are homeless all around the world . I live in Sydney and I could not care less if we are isolated . We still can visit New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South East Asia . Anyway there are international students who find work here in Australia . We have heaps of lovely places in Australia to visit . Immigration levels are causing the housing market boom. Colleges are paying the government of the day to keep immigration laws lenient as this would encourage more international students. The result- the quality of people coming in this country has dramatically declined. The healthcare has been hit badly as the wait times can be months. Everyone wants to come to Ontario causing unemployment as immigrants work for less pay and ordinary Canadian can’t afford to work for that less. People keep on buying houses and renting it out and millennial can’t buy houses anymore. I don’t know how will canada feed all of us when AI takes our jobs. \nThe past 5-8 years of Trudeau has ruined my Canada.

I'm canadian and yeah, while the healthcare can be tricky sometimes, in cas of a emergency, it's not that tricky. I had to go to the ER 2 times in 3 month because of a pneumothorax, arrived there, pass in 15 min approximatly both time and was in charge, spent 1 week each time there and the second time even had to have a part of my lung removed. Had no real tricky manipulation to do or anyhing. I was just happy it cost me absolutely nothing and I think it's definetly a reason why the lifespan is higher since in case of an emergency, if I was in the US and had to pay, I would have actually died, since I don't have the money for it, I'm a student so... (that also helps, my session cost me around 200 bucks... yeah, 200, I'm in college). I work in saudia.i wanted to apply in skilled or provincial nominee programs or any programme. i paid 29 us dollar after that they said you can only come through student visa and for processing student visa they asked me to pay 1700$ us dollar. \n\n\nSo as my personal experience it's all bulshit.

In my opinion , this is very unfair for us Filipinos who tried and want to migrate in Canada, wherein we have to apply legally, spend a lot of dollars and gather our documents just to be accepted in the country or a visa, especially for International students.

Lots of killed expats/migrants/international students to Canada, Australia and NZ leave in the long term because of housing, fake crime statistics, taxation, systemic/institutional discrimination and limited work opportunities. The US benefits from this because that’s where skilled Canadians, kiwis and Aussies go… nurses, technology specialists, structural engineers, biomedical technicians, researchers — all leave at some point barring a minority with family ties e.g., chronically sick parents. Interestingly enough, the US has country-specific skilled employment visas for Australia (E3) & Canada just for this purpose ? I’m an Indian-South African-Aussie citizen who earns excellent cash in Australia and just got PR (green card) in the US — happily moving to the States with my partner in a few weeks!

On my college campus in WI, I lived in a 600 square foot SHIT HOLE that cost $700 a month. I moved to a decent sized city and I pay $750 for a $1,100 square foot apartment. It’s a million times nicer than my old place too. It’s crazy to me. And $700 a month might not sound like a lot compared to LA, but in WI the minimum wage is far less and I couldn’t work full time and be a full time student. It was insane and so stressful.

And there is one important fact that you missed in this documentary. It is Indian(racial) people taking advantage of these young India people like us not Canadians! The same immigrants who immigrated to Canada from India couple years ago are taking advantages of new people coming now. These private colleges are run by India nationals to make profit from recruiting people from Punjab. Absolutely brother! I am from \nIndia and recently moved to Canada as a PR. Previously I was in US as a student and lived close to my university. So there were always people especially students around. But in Canada I am living in a residential area and it is as depressing as you showed in your video. There is nobody around. Just quiet everywhere like a cemetery. I dont think I can survive here for too long. Moving back to India ASAP!

Uneducated USA citizens. Students . US constitution say you can practice any religious. Any Universities no above then US constitution. Understand stupid citizens. Hmmmm, why has the birthrate been lack luster for so many decades. Why has born and bred Canadians living on the streets, no home. Why are kids failing in schools and college students are brain washed. Why does Canada need so many more immigrants, when the government can not take care of our citizens. Those and more questions need addressed before we lose our way of life. All part of a universal government control, by destroying all memories of a free society. No laws, accept what they deem to keep us humanoid in check. Borders are erased, self identity lost. That is my opinion and I stand by that unwavering. ????????????????

It’s true that Most students do not come here to study, study visa is just a stepping stone for pr, the dream of settling abroad comes with big price tag. Students have been exploited by agents, collages, employers. System is rigid, not only for a particular group but for everyone of us.

To be fair, why not the prospect student with a parent come to Canada for 2-4 weeks, check out the campus, ask around (current enrolled students). Second, stay and study in India, become a dr or a pharmacist (3yrs in India, Philippines etc vs 8 yrs in the US), any medical field and transfer over, being done since the 1950’s -ongoing in 2022, any dummy can pass the ECFMG, then start a residency.\n\nDubai has American universities (recognized no diff than physically in the US), Harvard and Michigan state are a couple examples. Victoria College in Alexandria, Egypt (possibly poorer than India), been there forever, AUB (American University of Beirut) recognized as an American college. Protest to have the Indian government to make US schools attractive for US universities to open campuses there. Private universities in the US (Catholic Jesuit colleges, Norte dame, Loyola, etc) charge the same tuition if ur a local or from South Asia.

Oh god this is sooo sad to see and very misleading,Indian universities are as good or even better than some Canadian and US unis, also dont forget countries like Russia, Poland, Czech trust me guys, universities there are much much harder and better knowledge is provided. An American and Canadian students will find it very difficult to pass the exams in those countries compared to their own. \nSo I dont understand why Indians dont go to those EAST EU countries or stay in India, the best Medical unis,IT,engineering, Architecture, bio chemistry and many more are actually in India and east European countries including Russia.

Career colleges are a complete rip off, even for domestic students, that’s why no one goes. \n\nHowever, as someone who has been to college and university, it really sucks to see international students suffer with the demands of curriculum. Also, it’s frustrating to be partnered with a student who doesn’t have a proficient grasp of not only the language, but punctuation, and essay writing. I’ve been in groups with international students where I end up doing all the work because their research or writing is unusable. I actually transferred to a university that allowed us to work autonomously. My disdain for group work is that strong. \n\nIt’s a shame, but setting a student up for failure in a legitimate college or university is not fair to anyone. \n\nThe answer may be learning a trade, especially if language skills aren’t up to par.

I am an international student and Canada just cares about or money. The education is not what the sold us.
