He only understands if you hit him back much harder than he hits you. \nCanada should NOT impose retaliatory counter tariffs that harm CANADIANS (Or do like China and impose 75% Tariffs on US items Canada can easily buy elsewhere). Rather, Canada should shut the OIL spigot and cancel electric feeds into the USA. RIGHT NOW. THAT would have the required effect and NOT HARM Canadians.

Canada really don't understand the equation, they stand nowhere infront of US. They should better comply with Trump to avoid more tariffs or possible sanctions. Everyone needs to remember there is legal immigration and illegal immigration. President Trump’s wife is from Slovenia now a US citizen, while the Vice President Vance ‘s wife’s family would have originated from the Indian Sub Continent. American Nationality is a social construct you either qualify for it or you don’t. I don’t understand these individuals who enter a country illegally or legally and over stay the period stamped on their Passport. If you are stamped for 28 days you stay for no more than 28 days if on a 6 month visa you stay no longer than the visa. \n\nIt is what I would expert if I went to any other country, unless you are invading in the armed services of a country and you would be seen as an invader by that country, anyone who enters a country illegally or over stays their passport time is an invader and should be treated the same way and expelled.

Remember, Trump promised he would lower the cost of groceries. He also said he was going to impose tariffs on imported goods from other countries. You should know that tariffs will RAISE the cost of living not lower it. When Trump was asked about it by a reporter, he said tariff costs are passed along to consumers which may cause short term disruption. But then said he wasn’t concerned about disruption because we should understand. We can’t afford food and gas now. This POTUS has no brain!

Colombia’s request is reasonable and fair, I don’t understand why the Trump administration would retaliate. They clearly haven’t coordinated with their Colombians counterparts and things fell apart. Why does the world have to suffer because of the whims of one person?

This is what the Dems don't understand about tariffs -- they are a negotiating tool, Trump is using tariffs as a leverage. They're not meant to be permanent. They don't even have to go into effect at all. Just the threat of tariffs is often enough. Colombia can't survive without the US as a major trading partner. Tariffs would kill them. So, they quickly changed their tune. Which is why the Colombian President 'Gustavo Petro' has already folded to Trump and has reversed his decision to allow 2 military transport planes to land there after being threaten with tariffs, serious sanctions etc. Like him or not, Trump understands how to negotiate.
