Canada is not America's ally or friend. Ally/friend suggests equal partner. Canada is America's junior partner, a sidekick at the best. With that said, I would like to see Canada step up to certain obligations, including with NATO, but as far as a trade work goes, this is not good.

I served alongside Canadian military when I served in the US military. They were very tough, honorable, and outstanding professionals. I have friends and family from Canada, and they love America.
