tyler i don't think u realize how bad the usa education system really is. i'm canadian but have lost count of the number of usa teachers who have complained about how bad they are held back from teaching kids properly, how kids can't be failed or held back, how kids graduating gr 12 can't read or write past gr 6 level. in fact recently there was a statistic put out that something like 60% of ALL americans cant read or write past gr 6. considering all your universities that is terrifying. not to mention with gun violence, straight up violence among kids and at teachers, the disrespect and the severe lack of good parenting, kids are not being educated at all. u yourself have done videos on where someone interviews americans and asked them questions about canada and they haven't got a clue. not one clue. yet canadian kids are regularly taught all about their american neighbours. are kids know more about america then american kids do and thats shameful. u need to do some research on this because unless u live in a rich gated elite community and go to private school the public education system in the usa is very dismal and woefully inadequate. \nalso he's right about politics. here we can discuss it rationally and then move on to other topics. in the states ppl are shooting ppl over differences in politics. beating ppl up trashing their cars and property etc. and many police are definitely not presenting themselves with professionalism tons of racism going on. and so many police because everyone is armed. here in canada we are not allowed handguns and pretty much ppl only have hunting rifles. it takes a lot of work and clearance not to mention time and money to take the necessary classes and get the necessary permits to even own a hunting rifle. in the usa show a drivers license and wait 10 days u have a handgun no matter how mental u are. therefore u need way more police than here in canada. i think u have a well to do upbringing so u have not and do not see the true picture of the america u live in. \nalso i have talked to many american friends who had insurance and still cost them about $5000 per birth of a child. with good insurance and working full time. so thats about average. here in canada u pay nothing except maybe parking for hubby while he visits.

I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

Hate to break it to some of these people in the video, but if you vote for the right in your local and federal elections like Polliviere (not saying vote for the status quo), they will only further the privatization of housing markets and bring in the advisors from Florida and millionaires from California to exacerbate and worsen this and only bring xenophobia in your hearts without solving any problem...

We need services, housing, infrastructure. All this privatization and neoliberal (not the same as liberal) approaches which remove the system social safety net this is the outcome. Hating on immigrants is not where our minds need to go, looking at many of the issues outlined in this video is an important perspective to consider. It is policy that needs rethinking. And if you think Pierre or the Conservatives have the answers, unfortunately they do not, Pierre jusr jumps on the populist far right bandwagon, without talking frankly about some of the issues outlined in the video or in my commentary. We need new bold solutions. Practical immigration policies can play a part, but without addressing housing affordability as well as stagnant polarized wages and a lack of opportunities and upward mobility for millennials and immigrants, nothing will change.

I really like your videos abhi & niyu however this video is not showing the full reality. Every country has its goods & bads and same goes with Canada. I have lived in Canada for 4 years since 2004 and some problems may have increased, but that doesnt make it such a bad place to live or immigrate too. Drugs is a choice and the percentage should be compared to India as well then.\nYes, there is significant wait for doctors but its not what you showed in video and if you want to expedite, private system is a choice you can take same as india. \nIf you work hard & save, you can definitely afford to buy a house, same as India.\nI love India but that does not mean I close my eyes for any good things outside of that country.

The dark side highlighted in this video is not only true for Canada but other countries like USA, Australia, UK as well. If the public healthcare is broken then citizens can choose for private healthcare insurance just like in India,many employers cover this insurance, so that you don’t have to spend out of pocket. All these countries are facing a cost of living crisis. The message here should be to choose wisely if you want to immigrate abroad for the right reasons. Reverse migration to India from these countries is true, it’s everyone’s choice. These countries do still have positives if you work hard and get a job, you can settle but you need to accept it would be a struggle. Aaram se kuch nahi milega haath mein, ya doorstep delivery.

The only way I see societies in the future surviving is where the government gives universal income because as you pointed out in your video growth in the private sector is really diminishing mostly in part to macroeconomic affects and technological advancement... soon it only will take 10 people to do what 1000 people did say 20 years ago.... the reason the public service is so big is the government trying to cover up that fact...and this can only last so long. My prediction and hope is for a universal income to help people survive. - otherwise you fact societal collapse through low birth rates and increased crime and corruption.

11:15 been curious about this part of the Video for quite sometime. The People I have majored with in college have done research about this, Implying that it has been a thing for ages. Could it be something other than lack of funding in the Private sector? Perhaps, the cost of funding is much higher within the region?

Based on the information provided in the video, I'd like to give my opinion on how to surpass these issues :\n- immigrants and students are not the issue here cuz they hugely contribute to economic growth; they are skillful, they pay taxes and they bring what they have in their homelands.\n- if the demand is high, gov should intervene in the supply side, by facilitating construction permits, giving investment facilities, excluding some products from taxation.. etc.\n- the carbon issue is a hoax, did the world abandon airlines ? No, did those who have private jets get taxed more ? I dont think so. So why tax the average people to make up for all of this ? Not so equal to me.\n- competitiveness among businesses and facilitating entrance to markets should be the priority, i dn't think that would happend cuz of lobbying.\nThese are my humble suggestions, PS: I dnt live there nd never did.

I strongly disagree with this video. Canada is still by far a superior country compared to US. The home crisis is common to UK, France, Italy and many other countries, even without migrants. Compared to the average US citizen, Canadian enjoy a better health system, a competitive infrastructure system, some of the best educational possibilities and a greater equality in opportunities. It's often referred as an European-like country, and its human development index largely show how a successful model it is. This video emphasize some points without mentioning how bad the US situation is (healthcare disaster, the broken municipalities of the country, the private debt explosion, the educational debt, the federal debt, the gentrification of the major hub, the falling of the dollar as a world reserve currency and many more)

well I have to say that this video is yet another white man complaining how the country is when they sat and watched it happen over the past 20 years. BOO Hoo you're the minority now sucks don't it. Not being able to get hired white people homeless living in the streets and entire areas are being taken over by immigrants. WHAT TO HELL HAVE WHITE PEOPLE BEEN DOING FOR 20 YEARS!! No mass protests, no private members bills, no community organizations to stem the tide of immigration. It seems what you're saying is if it isn't white, it isn't right and now finally enough white people are feeling what it was like for every brown or black person and other non white groups (still shit on) for the past 50 plus years. Remember there isn't an issue until it affects white people is the way it's been in Canada my whole life. I think instead of promoting division and board line hate why don't work with these communities and find out why they only hire their own. This video failed to cover the root of most issues that lead to these problems. The recent surge in foreign students is caused by lack of regulations on private schools who brought in excess amount of students because of the higher fees they can charge. This in combination of the booming short-term rental lead to shortage in housing. In regards to the healhcare in Quebec, the doctors association is very powerful and influential, yet the system is outdated and the shift to the private sector has increased the issues.

Is t that everywhere? Many things mentioned in that video are the same or worse allover world. like immigration or housing for example. Look at Nordic countries, UK, France, just to name few. Doctors going to USA bc is privatized, so yes for the money. But ask who there can afford ? You don’t have to wait 4 months to see doctor bc we have many walk in clinics. Jobs, People are hired and get pay by qualifications not colour like you said. Very poorly done video, not researched properly.

This video is very misleading. That tailor at the beginning of the video was said to have gone to study at a university in Toronto. I am pretty sure it’s not University of Toronto or any university near Toronto from the way he was conversing with the journalist. It was most likely a private college that offered a PG Diploma. No wonder he wasn’t able to find a job. International students coming to Canada to do a PG Diploma is the biggest immigration loophole that the government recently put restrictions on.

Very interesting video, all was well explained. But the situation it's the same here in Europe, and maybe is even worse, in Italy you die of hunger! Salary is so LOW and never changed in more than 20 years, and rent of houses is crazy! It's insanely high and with your salary you can't pay the rent (even if you are a doctor, nurse etc..) you don't have money to buy an house and if you pay a rent you can't spend money on anything else. People here live thanks to their parents savings (who has this luck). The situation is very bad, young people can't find a job because there are no jobs available, it's really hard to live. Cities are dirty and degraded. In public health care you have to wait months and years for a visit, you are forced to go private and pay a lot of money. So I think the situation is serious everywhere. If you know a place where you are paid well and there are no such problems let me know.

I am a born and proud Roman Catholic and love your videos. In Cape Town South Africa Christians and Muslims live in harmony and in most families there will be one or the other denomination in a family. I grew up in a neighbourhood where the call for prayer from the local Mosque could be heard. It was all part of growing up. Our Church Bells rang as well. Everyone accepted it. Of course there will always be grumpies in some areas, very few I may add who complain but they are shutdown by the rest of the community. We too have Malls with prayer rooms. Our private hospitals have a prayer room for all denominations with a mat for Muslim patients. Yes our country might have a bad reputation for the usual world wide issues but in Cape Town we continue our lives at our own pace. May the God Almighty Bless you on your new adventure.

Most of my life I lived in a country where you have to pay for healthcare to get higher quality or next day appointment. And looking at Canada I still prefer it more than free healthcare with waiting up to 6 months without having any private alternative. I better pay to fix my health as fast as possible. I'm Canadian too, born and raised, and I have to say this is accurate. Shit health care, insane taxes, low pay, impossible cost of living.... I live in a rural town now (used to live in a city!!) and even here it's becoming unbearable. Genuinely thinking of changing countries in the next 5 years once I get my act together.\n\nThe video also didn't address the political problem. Only 3 serious parties (the rest are niche and don't address Canada properly as a whole), and two of them partnered so you effectively have two parties. One of them has ramped up the deficit and deflected all housing problems, and the other is hellbent on private healthcare, ignoring environmentalism, and helping their rich friends. Impossible to vote for real representation.

If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. This video neglects to mention the enormous political influence the public-sector labour unions have in Canada. Numerous reports by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation have demonstrated that Canadians employees of Crown corporations & other government apparati are significantly wealthier than Canadians employee in the private sector who are taxed to pay for the fat government class. To boot, our most populous province, Ontario, is the most indebted sub-sovereign jurisdiction on Earth - at $400 billion, & counting.

Very good video but a few things are missed. \nLife in Canada is far better than any day in the USA!\nCANADA has a Public, Single-Payer Healthcare Insurance since the 1960's, something the USA in 2023 still does not have. So yes you may make\nmore money in the USA, but that all can go away with a serious health issue even with US private Insurance. Plus Canada is very\nmulticultural and Racism towards many is barely an issue compared to the USA.\nI grew up in the USA and now live in Canada and even though I have the choice to live in either country, YOU could not pay me to live\nin the USA, culturally the country is a nightmare if you are not White, Christian and Heterosexual then you are considered a problem.

Hi Tyler, first time I have watched your video, you appear to be known on the tube channel. You may be a nice guy, but you really live in a bubble, if the horror around you , in your country , domestically and especially foreign, does not effect you or your life, you cannot have a point of reference. School shooting has become a norm in your country, foreign politics, I don't want to start with that, domestic politics and corruption beyond comprehension, I have visited the US numerous times and I like the people, well , I had the right colour , that helped. My statements are not meant to attack the people of the US, it is meant to show that your domestic and foreign policies are extremely dangerous, since you can only be voted in if you have the backing of the corporate world, and don't forget to kneel before AIPAC , so , the people are friendly , but your domestic violence is literally stupid, your prison are privatized , they have to make money, you have the largest amount of prisoner , the corporate media , especially certain media such as Fox or Cnn, that is all the people know, very few read or do research, so , in conclusion, I like visiting certain aspects of your country, but I could not ever live there, my morals would prevent it, so good luck, unfortunately your politics effects Canada, economically, Canada should be far more independent.

I'm going to answer this before even watching the video. My reasons for not moving to the U.S. are straightforward: 1) my career entrenches me here; and 2) the financial problems Americans face over the private medical insurance system are a huge deterrent. Other problems: politics is too polarized and too many guns. It gets tempting to move there though. You can have pretty much whatever climate you want (tropical, dessert, mountains, boreal forests, etc.) and it's the world's economic heartland. Things in Canada aren't perfect either. American median income is now 40% higher than that of Canada. That's shameful.

Well, as a Canadian, I guess i'll pitch in.\nWould I move to the US? The short answer is no. But I will explain more in detail.\n\nFirst, I do not see any advantages to the US compared to Canada. Americams often tout their country as the beacon of freedom and the land of opportunities, but I don't feel that Canada is so different there. We're actually higher on the world freedom index, and its not like our economy was in shambles and everyone dirt poor... We pay more taxes, fine, but we also get more services in return, and that last part has the advantage to remove a big layer of worry. Like, for healthcare, I don't have to worry if i'm covered by insurance or not, or if the insurance carrier will drop me on some technicality. I'm a citizen. All the basic needs are covered; no questions asked (and the healthcare quality is not half bad. We just prioritize urgent cases over non-urgent; so if you go to the hospital for something non-urgent, you will wait, and more urgent cases will pass before you. Annoying when it happens, but I understand and agree with that in the end)\n\nSecond, I do see a lot of disadvantages. All the points raised in the video are valid, from the private-sector healthcare system, the gun control laws (or lack thereof), the social policies and legislation in some states; they don't agree with me.\n\nI think it comes down to some specific social and cultural ideas that are prevalent or at least present in a substantial manner in the american society. Bear in mind that I am generalizing here, not every american believes these points, but many do. I'm talking about ego, nationalism/patriotism, secularism etc.\nI feel that the US often has a really overinflated vision of itself. Like, the idea that America is the best. At everything. Wich is factually not true, but this idea also poisons the debate on many issues, and tends to limit social introspection that could lead to real advances.\n\nI've also noticed that the american basic school system is strongly patriotic. Everyone in the US is taught a lot about the US themselves in school, but not much about the rest of the world. Not great for open mindedness and introspection when you have little comparison points.\n\nAndlets not delve into the religious aspect. I've seen a poll somewhere where 48% of americans were AGAINST the separation of church and state. For me thats not only insane, its dangerous. It fits the individualistic mentality where people can more easily start thinking that their way is THE way. It creates a very polarized society much more prone to high volatility.\n\nSo, yeah, no, I wouldn't live in the US. I'd much rather stay in Canada where i don't have to worry if I get sick or hurt, if some agressive drunk idiot in a bar is armed, or if some fundamentalists from some religious congregation is gonna be able to try to politically force their point of view.

As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. We do not wish this upon no body. The pain in the hunger, the fact the money from your country is so little valued that even video game money has way more worth.\n\nIt's a very scary place which we are trying to genuinely scape from.\n\nHopefully for my brothers and sisters from the states try to understand, hopefully these people at some point will need to understand that doing things out of fear will not get them far. Canadian here, and this video is right on the money for some of the most frustrating things about Canada! \n\nOur proudest achievement is our healthcare system, but up until recently, the government has been choking it little by little. Making it so difficult for any Doctor/Nurse to even consider finding work here (and making it impossible to afford getting a medical degree) because you are literally doing it for the love of the game at this point. \n\nEven if you become a specialist in a specific field (which pays really well compared to most careers here) it is unlikely any hospital will hire you. Our hospitals are only interested in making profits by pushing painkillers on Canadians, rather than hiring medical professionals to help fix them. If you become a family Doctor, it is a bit better, because you can open your own practice. But kiss your social life goodbye if you do! The most annoying part of this problem is some people blame all this on the fact that we have healthcare and assume a private American system would be better. Where the real problem is we need more workers and funding into our healthcare to make it better. Not making lives harder for poorer Canadians!\n\nWeirdly enough our Tax system issue didn't stand out as a problem to me until I left Canada and see how taxes are marked elsewhere! It blew my mind that I didn't have to do math when I visited another country and the way we advertise wages is purposely deceptive! In Ontario, we succeeded in getting a $14 hour minimum wage (only in Ontario and maybe one other province). Which sounded amazing until you realize that's $14 without tax... To compare, I was incredibly lucky in Toronto where I found a place for 750 a month and was earning $16 an hour. Sounded like more than enough for the cost of living, but after taxes I was pretty much putting more than half my monthly income in rent. On top of that I had to pay for student loans and other bills. \n\nBottom line, if you are wanting to move to Canada for our beautifully scenic environments, free healthcare, and a stable job? \n\nMove to Finland.

There's no reason why you can't save money in Canada maybe you should read the book The Wealthy Barber and you should learn more about money. I am near retirement and it is such a treat not to have to worry about paying for anything and having a guaranteed income when I re— . What you doing have is your private insurance company denying you coverage and you have to refer to them every time when you need a particular blood test done. I can have my patients have MRIs or CT scans within 2 days if they need is there a giant . What you need is Doctor Patient Advocates. Very good video. I am an Australian citizen, and I share your views. Also I want to add another reason why I prefer Canada than Australia. Being originally from Peru, I currently live in Peru, my wife is also Peruvian and a baby with 5 month at the time of writing, however there is no family reunion visa to take my whole family (only my baby who will hold Australian citizenship but not my wife) so I cannot take them both, because migrations force my wife to apply to the Partner Visa, that cost AU$7850 (US$5,600) plus agent fees, documents, ticket price, and other cost. Also the waiting period is about 24 to 28 months. So if I return to Australia, I first need to find a job, then save the $5,600, send and amount of money to Peru during my absence, then wait about 2 years and spend about $10,000 to $15,000 extra to bring my family to Australia. The cost of waiting carries a lot of anxiety, health issued due to the uncertainty and may damage my marriage, And if I get to my wife a Visitor visa, she is not allowed to work and study, and I must pay private insurance, and for experience, private insurance policies and gap costs are very high. Of course visiting my family every 6 months is costly and timely prohibited, an economic flight from Australia to Peru costs about US$2,500 and takes about 1 day or 38 hours, add also the jet lag and day difference.\nIn contrast, Canada allows me to take my whole family in just 3 months, my wife can get a working visa, and if we decided to reunite in 6 o 9 month, I can go to Peru every long weekend to visit my family, a flight from Toronto to Lima is about $500 return and only 8 hours so I can go to Peru and come back to Canada in a long weeked, a luxury imposible to do if I lived in Australia. \nWhen my father passed away here in Lima, I was in Australia at university, and due to cost and time, I couldn't go to give him a farewell and to his funeral, a issue that regretted; for that reason, my mother-in-law, who needs care and being my wife, her only child, after facing my own experience, we decided that Canada and not Australia, is a better choice, if something happens with my in-law, from Canada my wife can see her quickly.\nThank you for sharing in this video
