Then the separatists want to ad at least a trillion dollar loan, to leave Canada and service that debt. Where is all this massive wealth the separatist spew? American here that has extensive relationships in Canada. We don’t want this tariff war but the tariffs being implemented first by the Trump administration on behalf of US were punitive for violating USMCA and tied directly to the border defects. This was made known in advance and you repeated empty promises. Take your medicine and get well fast. Instead of doing that, you are taking an action that will beget reciprocal tariffs. Implement $30B and Trump will add $30B….add another $125B later and Trump will add another $125B. Heads up….America wants good partners and looks forward to being past this as well. In the meantime, we are prepared to pay more (or live with less) as we get back up on our feet. We have a lot of internal healing and cannot carry any other countries right now. Make that make sense! I couldn't have said it any better. Trudeau was never my favorite person in politics, but this latest stand against the tyrant that is just south of our great country! His justification for his tariff fantasy is the trade of fentinyl across the border and the flow of illegal immigrants to the U.S. As Trudeau has stated, paraphrasing a well known and respected publication, the Wall Street Journal, that this is a very DUMB move! That is an understatement. This is clearly not about drugs or illegal immigrants, it never was. Trump is supposed to be smart? This latest revelation proves otherwise. Just look at how they treated Zelensky during his last visit to the oval office. That showed a complete lack of respect! I fear we are in for a dismal for years!
