Specially ideas of being open minded, living and letting live, freedom, being tolerant etc. These are the best ideas or culture that if held long enough by the majority of the people will turn that place into a great civilization indeed. Every great civilization of history was built through this culture in history. persian empire, macedonian empire, roman empire, british empire and now the united states etc... were/are all very diverse and very tolerant of indians and their ideas... cultural exchange of ideas through indians and receiving diverse viewpoints which helped them become great. However great empires, great places and civilizations never last. They fall down. They fall down once the culture changes. which is natural since culture is not static but dynamic, since it exists only in the minds of people, it can change in the same generation, or in the next - all it takes is replacing existing ideas with other ideas in the minds of people large enough. This is what we are seeing happening in canada and India... a shift of culture. The same culture of responsible for turning India into a terrible country is being adopted by canadians. Meanwhile for the past few decades.. india on the other hand has been adopting the better culture and growing slowly and steadily with many mistakes and hurdles along the way towards a brighter future... slowly because its huge... steadily because it knows where to go.... mistakes and hurdles because its an open democracy... If this cultural shift keeps continuing this way... There will come a time where canada would look more like afghanistan and India will look like the us or scandinavia... However i hope thats not the case. and its just a phase that does not lead to some significant revolution in terms of peoples thinking.

I’m a second gen Indian in Canada born in USA. It’s become so us vs them between locals and immigrants, that Im caught in the middle, I belong no where and everywhere. There’s no room for my voice, because I’m no different then any Canadian or American in how I act but nothing separates me from Punjab and Kashmir other than accident of birth and one generation. My English is NE United States, my French Québécois, my Hindi Dehli,Punjabi Jalandar, Urdu Lahori, and Turkish Ankara. I speak six languages and I’m fluent in none, I’m from three countries yet none of them want me. It would be great if more of these types of investigations included our voices, as we’re neither here nor there yet caught in the middle of all of this.

Honestly the batshit crazy comment reflects the #1 concern most Canadians have with the United States. We have conservatives and religious types but they're all more or less respectful and they don't try to control Canadian society. What Trump is doing is collecting money from these tariffs, while at the same time bringing certain industries back to the United States. At this present time and in this current governmental climate, I do believe that changing a leader now would hurt Canada. The only thing that makes sense is that Trump may plan to let Putin invade Canada from the polar cap in retaliation for its refusal to submit to becoming part of the United States. It's either that or he is the dumbest president in American history... I've never understood why anybody thought that he gave a damn about anybody but himself or was capable of doing anything that would benefit the American people. But here we are.. there was voter suppression at the very least. It's hard to know what to believe about all that. But I do know many people regardless voted for him. 30% did not vote. Which I do understand. As there is a genocide happening.. but at this point, I have to believe that even amongst the majority of his supporters he is not supported by the majority, major majority of the United States. The republican Congress has shown their true colors of being anti-constitutional . But they are redeemable. Do the right thing if you are in government if you have any power at all, stand up. And for the rest of us, Americans including the ones that voted for Trump let your voices be heard. Before we become something similar to Russia. And I go to prison for this comment.

Canada's historical contributions to the United States are extensive, including WWI, fighting Hitler in WWII for two years before they joined the fight, declaring war against Japan WWII after Pearl Harbour before America did, was 25% of D-Day’s landings, support during the Iranian hostage crisis, after 9/11, in Afghanistan, and during natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and California wildfires. However, Canada is now being treated transactionally, with a lack of respect to a historical friend and ally.

The USA president Trump wants everything to be manufactured and sourced locally from the United States of America. He knows what happened during COVID-19 and what problems the world experienced because of a global supply chain. Now while it doesn't really make sense with Canada who is right next door the Canadians were given the opportunity to integrate into the USA so there could be some motive in that. And why wouldn't they want that anyway? Just remove the Canadian border and everyone becomes the USA. Why not?
