Conservatives proposal is to end presumption of innocence. Instead, we should expedite and strengthen the asylum prcess so that bogus claims are quickly dismissed

Canada 🇨🇦 has been trying to attract more people from Europe and that has failed for years now because of our winters. Nobody has children like in the past and the demographic of our population has declined. If we don’t have children, then who’s going to pay for the pensioners to live? All the comments here are just about how crooked the liberals are and not a bad word about PP. If you google him you’ll find that he is worth $95 million and he’s a shareholder of Brookfield and yet he’s a god in the same eyes. Well Carney is a banker and I would expect a banker to have more money than just about anyone. I’m a conservative voter but I am proud to say that I voted for Carney otherwise we would have been sold out to the USA . The problems with immigration is a very strong and should be reviewed and corrected.

If the Conservative Party isn't willing to fight, really fight, then we are still being governed by one big Uniparty playing politics.

You should come to Portland OR and Vancouver WA, Seattle area too - compare and contrast these communities to the Russians that moved here in the 90s. I have never voted conservative before, and I agree with Michelle. Vassy is embarrassing herself. Bogus asylum claims. The evidence? Ummm, the amount of rejected claims? Indian students claiming asylum after their student visas expire and they can’t get PR any more which their “consultants” promised them.

According to Matthew 25:31-46, we Westerners have to welcome the stranger. It is our duty, not optional. No asylum claim on the part of the stranger is required. The conservatives should know this duty.

This is what lazy European far right parties always do : blame a national problem on undocumented migrants. This is just cruelty for the sake of it. If you want them out of here, you do that. What's the point of preventing them from getting health care. Like a virus will know not to go from an undocumented immigrant to a regular Canadian citizen. I typically do not agree with a lot of what the conservatives say, and I usually do not like anything that Michelle Rempel Garner says (or the way she says it). However, what she said here, and the way she said it, makes complete sense. I was a bit disappointed that there are no actual numbers as to how much the government would save, but it doesn't seem like a bad idea to put the legislation in place, and whatever they save is a bonus. imho Be the Change You Wish to See in the World 💖

In one question Daniel Smith wants foreign workers who are the poorest payed people, where the conservatives are in great demand for foreign workers, to pay for their own health care. It is a pettiness too petty, that disqualifies Ms. Smith from dealing with the public. Definitely remove that question from your to-kill list, babe. It will get you in trouble, babe.
