I am an indian, genuinely speaking, when I came here back in 2023, I didn’t know there are so many people from one of the indian state called punjab. They have ruined this place as well as image of all Indians. Also, If you want khalistan, why they are not protesting in where their land belongs(so called), why in Canada or Usa? There are 70% of the people are living in canada is punjabi. They have ruined the image of our whole country. I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

I’m South African Indian from Durban, and I spent three months in Vancouver for work. Honestly, I wouldn’t visit Canada again. The cold was unbearable for me, and I found the country dull and boring. Coming from Durban, where there’s warmth, energy, culture, and life everywhere, Canada just didn’t feel like my kind of place. Some people may enjoy the quiet and structure, but it’s not for everyone—and it definitely wasn’t for me. Three months was more than enough to know it’s not my vibe.

I just watched Tucker’s interview with the man that made the documentary “Replacing Europe” and it was very eye opening! Even if you are not a fan, I encourage you to watch. This is happening all over!! Apparently, many places in Europe can’t even build a military because they don’t have anyone to actually fight for Europe due to them all being migrants. Lots of other interesting things I didn’t know. Honestly, it’s kind of heartbreaking to see such beautiful places changed so drastically and becoming so dangerous for everyone. I don't ever venture into Brampton anymore, as I don't do service calls or work as a mechanic. I basically got told, without being told they wanted a more diverse field of technicians. Over 12 years of work trying to get my mechanics license and I'm out. Guys can't even diagnose a ground on a vehicle, yet they can get the Red Seal license cause the "translator" gave them all the answers on the test. Lots of them coming over on student visas just to drop out or not go to school completely and take up basic minimum wage jobs from the actual tax payers of our Great? nation. The truck driving is also insane up north, past Thunder Bay. Trucks in ditches every 30-50 km's. Wheels coming off of trucks, turning around on the 2 lane highway in the middle of no where and gets the truck stuck cause they wanted to do a U-turn at 3am on blind corners. We driving our 3/4 ton work trucks have to pass our exits all the time cause they have their feet on the dash tailgating you. 90% of the ones that have come over, have made Canada a worse place to work/live.

15 years ago I wrote my highschool thesis on how capitalism leads to genocide and then cycles to communism which then leads to genocide and constantly repeats itself in a cycle. And that Agent says she talked to an Indian couple who are undocumented for 22years in canada but owning 3 houses which is 2.5million. That couple use their cousin's name who has status. Why didn't cbsa or ircc didn't know about this kind of mortgage fraud. These couple are truly tax evaders and criminals. They should be ask to pay whatever they steal from not paying the taxes for 22years. The cbsa and ircc should hunt them and deport!!

My grandparents immigrated here from Jamaica and certain groups have made the word immigration annoying and obnoxious now. It’s not even immigration at this point it’s just a full take over and a blatant disrespect for our country. Don’t follow the rules, aren’t compliant , protesting that Canadians don’t respect them and that they should stay there even if the visa is up, demanding money, buying all businesses and blatantly not hiring Canadians because they aren’t of a certain race. It’s extremely disrespectful and we need to start sticking up for the people of this country and have tighter rules and regulations to get in. Disappointed in our country…we’ve failed. What happened to the old school immigrants that would come in work hard build wealth and have pride in moving to Canada. It’s really the younger generation of immigrants that are entitled and stupid. And this is coming from a young person. Some of the immigrants (if you know you know) aren’t even that good at their job, they careless do it half ass and expect tips and that certain details will go unnoticed because they didn’t earn the job they just showed up and were handed the job.

As an American born Punjabi, I used to visit Canada when i was young (90's) and it was a beautiful place. Now I dread going there because the Canadian culture is lost. It's over run with Indians and they don't share the same value or even cultural norms as Westerners. I see this problem in America as well but it's nto just Indians. In America, it's every country in the world that comes and interacts with their own community and there's no assimilation. Even as a second generation American, I still feel like a guest in this country and I am grateful for the Americans to have allowed my family to come here to live with them. Citizenship is just a piece of paper though. I know if I didn't assimilate, they could send me to India even if I know nothing about it. It's just basic humility.

As someone who is born in Canada as an Indian. This is absolutely sad to here. I want the best for Canadians who are born and raised here. I have 10 years of experience working in the nation I was raised and I am having some people have my job who aren't even fit for the job. It makes no sense to me. Our wages have stalled due to international students for a better life, but at the end I want money just like other Canadians who have been here for ages. Also we need to end why our government allows lucrative hiring contracts overseas for cheaper positions in certain degrees and diplomas. In addition, why are all of our call centers placed all over the world. From Africa, south east Asia, South Asia. Those jobs can be available here. We can have a decomcratic country if our country didn't care about just "growth" we didn't need more immigration. We needed systematic change in government, schools, common sense, I could go on. I think us as Canadians don't know how corrupt the world really is. Look at other countries and how they work. It's lucrative essentives to benefit only certain people. I would rather have our tax payer money be used to fix the system. My dad's been here since the 1980s and he is sad for everyone. This is a loss on both ends. We didn't create new universities, new highways to support the population, no hospitals, new schools. I remember when my class sizes were 18 to 20 kids. We need change, not radical because we were never that. Let's do what we do best and be Canadians for us first.

I didn't complete high school nor attend a university, but I do know one thing: Pretending to be something one is not inevitably catches up with them. You have accepted the responsibilities associated with this role and assert to possess over 20 years of experience that extends into this particular field. Cease squandering both time and financial resources (taxpayers). Either take control of your responsibilities or resign, thereby permitting yourself to spend additional time frolicking in the dance studio, akin to a child.

I don’t know how to feel about this. In my head I know without immigration the population will go down and that’s bad for economy. I know that diversity is good and we should embrace people from all backgrounds. Yet, something feels vastly wrong with what is going on in Brampton. And I feel guilty for feeling that way because I didn’t feel like that when I went to Woodbridge when it was all Italian or Richmond Hill when it was all Hongkong Chinese.

Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

I understand the culture clash; I lived in Abbotsford, BC, moving there in 2005 and staying for nearly 10 years, and the Sikh/Indian population was very prevalent there. They had a reputation of not "joining in" until the third generation and a bad habit of only dealing with other Indians, not even bothering to try and learn English, and being a bit of a nuisance in the SevenOaks Mall. I have memories of them complaining when the employees didn't know any Punjabi, trying to haggle prices in the stores (sometimes aggressively), and harassing female staff. By the third generation they generally had adopted fully into Canadian culture and, oddly enough, the most violent clashes were between first generation and third generation Indians because the first generation was "behaving badly".

The problem is that Canada didn't just take immigrants from India, they took in criminals in the name of "asylum". In certain parts of India, there used to be small-scale separatist movements, back in 1970s and 1980s. Senior Trudeau saw this as an opportunity to vent his frustration for India's not signing of NPT . So the guy kept giving "asylum" to the violent separatists, to "teach India a lesson" (Yeahh... sure) Gradually, it became so that once you have gained enough rep in organised crime, drug trade, so that it's difficult for you to stay under the radar in India, running from law enforcement, you would run to Canada, UK or Australia, and ask for asylum, with whatever reason. And those countries, in their stupid sense of righteousness, would accept it without any background checks. Now, yes, it's a trouble for us (good job), because most of the gang leaders are hiding away in these countries, running their operations remotely. Indian officials are only able to nab the low-level gang members. But it also means that these countries now ALSO have the worst criminals in their cities. And once they settle down, they will do what they know best .... crimes. And gradually they become a problem for their host countries, as well as other Indians in these countries. (Whenever Khalistanis do any parade, they force other Indian families to put up their yellow flags on their homes, to make it look like they have massive support) It's not good for anyone, but these countries have put themselves in a position from which they have no idea how to extricate themselves. Sure, you may blame Indians. But we were literally asking you to send those criminals back, and you refused to do so. Now they are your problem. If they create problems for us, then maybe, they will drop de** in some parking lot. But apart from that, most of their activities are going to be Canada's problem to deal with. They are already turning the streets of Canada into a drug paradise, hurting the young people of both local and Indian origins. Such a waste of life and potential.
