Here's my life in canada. denied work. To be here as a citizen today, I had to pay CAD$35.000 for a two years program in Toronto. But to get the study visa I had to prove a lot of things, including money, proof that I had paid the college (at least 1st year), English, a Bachelor degree (education), a clear criminal history, and what attach me to my country. I had to study hard, and only after graduation I could have 3y work permit. By working in Canada I could get more point to become a permanent resident. After 2y having my PR, I could get the citizenship, but I had to prove I pay taxes, clear criminal history, and other things that show I would be a good citizen. So, I worked (and still work) hard, I am currently in two jobs and at school taking my masters, I respect the laws, I respect the culture (I never tried to impose mine), and I pay over CAD$10.000 in taxes per year on my income. That said, I feel as a slap on my face when fraudulent and dishonest people are able to be here cheating the system in any way. Some people may say I am an immigrant against immigration. NO, I am in favor of people taking the right path to immigrate, and make real contributions for this country, not coming to be scammers and criminals.

I wonder if they discussed how when Indian students who unalive themselves in Canada, the deaths are not treated as such. There are many families who have the remains of their kids (usually young males) repatriated and the death is left unclear. The gov’t of Canada has been obfuscating many such deaths. Was it the Canadian govt fully at fault for the deaths? Not quite… these students are often met with predatory individuals who take advantage of their vulnerable situations: such as predatory landlords who have sometimes 15 or more students renting one house, or unjust working conditions because the employer knows that the immigrants citizenship hopes are tied to the job, etc etc. Ultimately, it’s the Canadian government turning a blind eye to these realities and trying to make the deaths appear due to things other than unalive attempts. This shouldn’t be surprising considering the way the Canadian government has been pushing dystopian legislation around their medically assisted dying program (MAiD). Canada’s medically assisted dying program has the least guardrails of any program of that type in other countries. Not just this, but the legislation for MAiD comes at a time when Canada’s healthcare and mental healthcare systems are collapsing. Trudeau said he would address this with one his re-election promises in 2021: he promised 5 billion for mental health programs. I’ve worked in the field for almost 20 years with youth and that money never arrived, nor has any serious attempt to fund programs occurred since the brutal Canadian pandemic policies massively exacerbated the youth mental health crisis. Perhaps one day someone will be able to trace how the 5 Billion promised was send off in provincial transfers that did not benefit any programs and likely only helped pay for all the upper management, because Canada’s healthcare, education and mental health care systems are absurdly top-heavy. Canada becomes moral dystopian by the day, with regular folks (working class, blue collar, low-income) bearing the burden. Everyday more people join the rank of the oppressed regular people while a few who work in the government or favored industries are overpaid and the stats around all of this corruption are further obfuscated and buried. And as all this occurs, you see bureaucrats like the on in this video smug in their knowledge that most Canadians will never learn how dark the truth is.

This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I am not racist in any way shape or form- my grandfather was in Germany and he was on the Beach in Normandy. One of those videos was a TEDx talk done by a woman named Sangita Vyas who discussed the truth about open defecation and that it is not limited to only the poor population. Even people who can afford to build latrines are not using them, and she explains why after interviewing Indians to ask why. I've watched Indian doctors talk online about how many Indian children die from something as simple as diarrhea every year as a direct result of the water contamination caused by open defecation. Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. I've been replaced 4 times by foreigners. I worked at Amazon and the entire huge warehouse of hundreds of people was only East Indians with only me and 3 other white people. I worked at Ballard and the entire production floor could not speak English at a elementary school level and was replaced by a guy from Iran who had never been to Canada and was in the country for 1 month. All the shift mangers were from Iran and my section was only Iranians, East Indians and Chinese. I was the top production worker by far doing the work of 4 other workers proven by the actual numbers in an attempt to keep my job but still got removed of course to make way for more Iranians because it was obviously a way to bring their people here. Zero locals were in the entire production floor. I can not have the dignity to own my own home and never will be able to even though I grew up here went to collage and university and worked hard. Rent is beyond insane and they raise it the maximum legal amount every year which is huge. All my life I had to bow down to foreigners. The locals have lost their homes and can not buy another house or could never buy one and never will be able to. All are slaves to foreigners who think they are superior and treat them like garbage. The foreigners get help from the government somehow and get loans they never should be able to get because they have crooked contacts in the Chinese owned financial institutions. They then build 5 to 10 unbelievably horrible illegal suites and that is where most of the locals now have to live in. The neighbourhoods went from a very low population of Chinese and East Indians to insanely high levels such as 98 percent. There is no sense in complaining to any government body because the Chinese and East Indians have infiltrated those key positions and always side with their own kind. The legacy news/media is fully aware but are owned by foreigners and never will talk about these issues. Canada has for sure been invaded and taken over and is lost. No one is bringing it to light and worst is no one is trying to fight it. Any attempts you are labeled as a horrible racist.

My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. Canada's population of 40 million is not enough to drive the economy big. An MPP long time ago wanted Canada's population to be around 100 million to drive the economy. This country is so in a wrong path and I get it, cost of living is rising everywhere but Canada seems to be bad in all sectors of life, not just for being expensive….what is the point of paying for a place to live pretty much as an animal for 70% of your salary and then go downtown and look around homeless and drug addicts everywhere to interacting superficially with cold people in a weather that’s freezing for more than half a year to never being able to fly anywhere as ticket for a three hour flight costs $1000…..oh and endure all of this for a $40k/annually salary after tax if you’re lucky. Not your first world category type of country but be advertised for what it really is….a 3rd world.

Everyone is confusing the increase rate of housing aka the housing crisis to the influx immigrants. The reality is most of the homeless people are on the street because Canada has not been able to create employment, stop the drug problem, and provide the people who already having citizenship with proper social scheme benefits. People never ask the quition who is benefiting from the increase in housing prices or what will Canada do if they get the international students who are pouring money into Canada's GDP. It's a fact that Canada is not strong when it comes to manufacturing, growth and other aspects which make a country strong economically. Pushing out immigrants will only hurt the growth of Canada and nothing else.

Honestly speaking, I never thought that there’s a lot of issues going on in Canada, during the college seminar, we were told that there’s good education (which is completely true), good pay rates for work, good housing and good society. After coming to Canada, I realized the rents are sky high, homeless people everywhere (it’s not their fault, they are homeless because of the government), drugs & weeds, everything’s expensive, high tax, couldn’t able to get even a low wage jobs? if I know these things are going to happen then I won’t come to Canada, also I don’t have enough money to pay back my education debt and I can’t go home without earning a single penny, I’m trying my best to spread awareness about the real issues that’s going on in here and I hope people will think twice before coming to Canada. \n\nOther than that, Canada?? is a beautiful country with amazing people, places and culture, I would love to be a part of it but if the situation is not gonna improve then I prefer to go back to India??

I was born in Montreal in the mid 50s and growing up it truly was a free country with plenty of opportunity. Graduating from Sir George Williams University I was able to purchase a brand new Mustang and live in my own new construction 2 bedroom luxury apt. Food and going to clubs was never an issue and as I had worked during the summers, I had no student debt. Most Canadians back then were from European backgrounds and safety was never an issue. In the year 2000 I left for the United States for good. I worked , lived and retired in a small university town and have a conceal carry permit to protect myself even here. I remember when you didn't even need a passport to go back and forth to Canada . The great replacement has hit Europe the hardest but Canada is a close second. If I were to leave here it would probably be for Thailand or the Philippines where there is a reasonable cost of living and safer conditions. I feel for you as I too can never go home, not the home I came from.

That’s why I’m leaving Canada. I’m not raising my kids there, I don’t want to live there for the rest of my life, it’s more unsafe than it was when I grew up, it’s unaffordable. I want to buy a house one day and I’ll never be able to do that in Canada. So, I’m out.

You need to.come.legally we have something called laws these days there is a huge difference in settlers and immigrants we can't just let anyone in our countries this shit is happening all over western civilization and it's fucking up our housing market because they're not building enough houses for all the people coming in especially up where I live in Canada the house prices are like 4 times there actual worth and because of Trudeaus immigration policies and his red tape policies on housing I'll never be able to afford a house
