Good journalism, it's good to get out and hear what people are thinking. In viewing, it occurs to me that it's hard for white people, and maybe Christians, to understand some Asians. I'm an American, so-called white American, and love Sanatana Dharm, or what most people call Hinduism - that term should soon be forgotten. Anyway, this video shows a variety of people called Indians but whom are vastly different in belief. So much so, they maybe fighting in India but abroad, they stick together. Islam and most Indian philosophies (they are not religions as there is no overarching institution or organization) feed the "devotees" several times a day...it is a part of the culture, shared meals with those who share faith. The Indians, they basically want a better life and will send money home. Muslims will buy land through a trust and then buy more and more. I don't know about Canada, but there are no such cultures in America - well, the Church has bought a lot of land but does nothing to serve people. The Mormons have land and a strong daily schedule, some community churches have very strong programs, but as a whole, The Church has done nothing to make itself appealing and therefore, there's no opposite or equal force. What to do? and as far as assimilating, yes, they should, but to what? Should they start playing hockey, drinking beer, etc. The second gen might. The West has lost it's way and religion isn't the solution but a culture not so decadent would be a good start.

How has everyone so quickly forgotten the reason for these tariffs. Canada has not stemed the flow of fentanyl. They contuine to poison their own people and ours. I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. As a FRENCH individual, here is my perspective; we humans look for what is good for us!!! I am French (I consider myself very lucky as France is a very stable and prosperous economy) but many French also look for better opportunities abroad, namely in Switzerland (higher salary and better work packages but that influx created a xenophobia against French living in Swiss) and the US (tech jobs mainly, which are better paid than in France)!!! We ALL do it!!! Many white South African women also do everything to marry British, Germans, Canadians on purpose (the media never mentions that and we know why) so that they can escape the extreme environment in South Africa!!!! It is just that the media tends to focus on black and brown people as it sells better!!! Ohhh and did you forget those many North Americans who flock to Mexico, and South America to run away from the horrendous cost of living!!!! Same for those many Canadians (a common trend those last years) who start to flock into the US to run away from higher living costs in Canada and for higher paid jobs in the US!!!! Okay may be some lesser developed countries do it but let’s realize that WE Europeans also move and emigrate when things turn “grill our ar**s” where we live!!!! Ohhh and have we forgotten already those Italians who moved to France in 1900s to escape misery and hunger in Italy!!!! Ohhh …. we already forgot!!!! And what about the Ukrainians, many of whom come to Canada now and take jobs and reap benefits from the local? I don’t disagree with any of this. But have we forgotten whatever happens to our neighbours down south ultimately ends up affecting Canada. America isn’t any better. We complain yet it doesn’t stop ppl from moving to Vancouver, Toronto, NYC, LA etc..

I'm all for ethnically diverse neighborhoods but there is a point where they become big enough, made up entirely of one ethnicity, no incentive to integrate or adopt the customs or even laws of the host country that it eventually becomes a foreign nation state occupying a part of Canada. Even more troublesome when the narrative is that Canada is a postnational state and that everything that came before is all bad and needs to be torn down and/or forgotten. What has attracted immigrants to Canada over time is Canadian values, all that has been built and defended in Canada. Now older generations of immigrants are complaining that Canada is turning into an oppressive, crime ridden state like the countries they fled from. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

Have Canadians literally forgotten the videos of our pm welcoming new immigrants into Canada - supplying them with winter coats? Welcoming the parents and innocent children? Meanwhile...He knew that he would be expecting all of those immigrants to receive the MED. Truly sinister.

I totally agree with your opinion on all points! One supplement - all of Western and not only Western Canada - is isolated. The big cities - Vancouver, Calgary.... not to mention provinces like Manitoba or Saskechuan are just forgotten by God. Cities in nowhere! Nothing around big cities and complete isolation! By hanging up for work! All this reflects on the relationships between people who live a closed and isolated non-social life!

Very true. The problem that Canada has is there is getting to be a large portion of people that have taken our wealth for granted. This generation has forgotten how wealth is created, so much so that when any projects are proposed there is automatic opposition to them. And the opposition is given so much credibility that many projects never see the light of day. Canadians are the kings of missed opportunities.

Aba, you’re right. America is very different from place to place. I disagree that it’s not safe here. It is. I live in a big metropolitan city, and it’s happened before where I’ve forgotten to lock my door, my car, etc. And nothing has ever happened. I feel safe as a woman walking in my neighborhood at night. I live in a very good neighborhood. Also, not fair to compare the USA to Canada based on your experience in California. California is by far the most expensive state in the nation, maybe more so than NY. Definitely right now, everything is expensive, but California is on a whole ‘nother level.

Nothing is the way it was years ago ,Today our society has changed , Certain things that were accepted years ago are no longer accepted in todays society .Its new Governments and new Generations of people that think differently than the ones in the past .Things are different ,Besides that, you cant blame people of today for things that happened in the past by people the generations of today didnt even know. The truth is that if Nigeria doesn’t get better, even the few that said they will return back home will never return. Cos if you plan to come back in your old age, have you forgotten that old age is a time when you desperately need good health care to ensure you live a healthy life? who will provide that good health care if you are in Nigeria? You have forgotten the beautiful Yukon summers. Every province & territory in Canada is heaven to my friends attending CBU from India. Many wish to stay and we love them so much. The folks from India & Pakistan fit right in.

Unfortunately this video follows the common trend of undervaluing rural Canada. The Maritimes and the Prairies have so many hidden gems, and the people are so much more down to earth and friendly. Not to mention the peace and quiet that you can find there. Disappointed to see another video that highly favours BC, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec (the most populous provinces) and undervalues the more forgotten provinces (or territories).
